By day, he blends into the crowds of lantern-lit market streets, carrying shopping bags, eating taiyaki, and looking almost ordinary beneath his messy black hair and tired eyes. By night, he becomes something sharper — a masked fighter dressed in black, known throughout the various gangs and crime families as The Black Lotus.

In underground wrestling rings, he fights with the same calm precision he uses on rooftops and temple grounds.

Ren’s greatest weakness is also his best quality: he cares more than he lets on. He pretends to be detached, but he remembers every kindness and every betrayal. He avoids attachments because he believes everyone close to him becomes a target.
