Thirteen years, over a decade, before the current season, Senji Takijima lived a life of decadence and privilege alongside his older brother, both raised in a second union between a semi-twisted soldier-turned-"bodyguard" and a high-ranking member of a hierarchy, within the multinational trading group known as Primol, dealing with weaponry. All that money, and yet the CEOs of said company could not figure out how to spell the title correctly.

It was an easier time, where all he needed to worry about was figuring out how beat Hiroyuki at Budokai Tenkaichi 3, laugh at how his brother seemed to want to bury his head in the wall when facing the 'extremely easy' fights in Demon's Souls, and live up to the standards his parents set for them both to avoid resorting to the same methods of survival as his father, Kerry Takijima, and his father's brother-in-arms, Kenji Tetsuya. However, the actions of the latter two would come to have consequences when Senji grew up further. On his tenth birthday, the three would be ambushed by an outnumbering force in an incident made to look like a car accident. Despite this, Kerry and Tetsuya managed to scrape their way to a victory, as well as a shared gamble on being thought of as 'dead' or rendered incapable enough to no longer be pursued, at the cost of no longer being able to risk living in America. As a result, his father was forced to make a decision to change their last name from its redacted original to the current last name, that being Takijima. After all, he would come to the conclusion that the two of them could not defend themselves against every single one of the hostile portions of a Yakuza group before being killed off.

In the present time, following his flirtation with a coma for five years (due to physical trauma gained when he was with his father and "uncle"/master during their violent falling out with a clan by the name of Sanada), has been cut a rather raw deal. After awakening, he was stuck, trying to reconstruct his life after nearly having it snuffed out. As dictated by his father while he was comatose, Senji has been set up in a house to tackle the rest of his life without his hand being held constantly. So, given this, he has been left to pursue a career by himself taking on many fighters in this new world he has found himself in.
