Watame possesses a gentle disposition and speaks in a pleasant, calm, and polite tone, befitting her image of a soft fluffy sheep. Her voice has been noted by fans to be especially soft, mature, and womanly. She is also known among her peers as being quite warm and friendly. During her debut, she showed a shy attitude at times whenever she wasn't wrestling. However, in direct contrast to this image, Watame often amuses herself by making crazed facial expressions. Her wide-eyed, psychotic smile has become iconic, even appearing on some of her official merchandise (a double-sided pillow cover). She also bobs and weaves her head and body around, which has become one of her signature gestures that she does especially when doing her entrance.

As Watame is a sheep, she also speaks their language. During her matches, one can often find some phrases replaced with bleats. It is not just restricted to spoken dialogue, as her streams may often have imprinted "ネタバレめぇめぇ！" (netabare mee mee!), which is highly-assumed to mean "No spoilers!" in the language of the sheep.
