Epic Bare Knuckle Boxing Battle Between Karina and Lara Croft

Starring
Karina Fighter (deleted member)
Lara Croft (deleted member)

23:23 Karina_Fighter: I was just contacted by a women’s boxing club based in London’s East End that is promoting bare knuckle boxing, basically the same rules as gloved fights, but no gloves. I’m very flattered that they have asked me to compete in their first ever bare knuckle boxing event, and I’m told that my opponent will be Lara Croft if I accept. I’ve never fought Lara, although I know of her awesome reputation, so I do a google search to see if I can come up with, mostly the usual stuff, Nationality: British, well to do family (YUCK), 5ft 7in, 130 lbs……and 27 years old. I’ve got a weight advantage, putting me in the welterweight class, slightly above her, but the club said they were not overly concerned about that in this case….(what are they implying???). OK, bottom line is that I accepted the invite to bare knuckle box Lara, in the club’s circular boxing ring, a ring that is identical to the type of ring that Bare Knuckle Boxer Bec Rawlings fights in, so cool.

23:24 Karina_Fighter: I arrive at the club on the appointed day, and I’m escorted to a small private changing room. The club does not let fighters see each other until fight time, and I get weighed in at 140 lbs, and of course, stand at 5ft 10in, and I’m 36 yo. And I sign the release agreement that exempts the club from liability. After all this, I change into a grey sports bra with an Irish shamrock on one cup, grey boxing trunks with green stripes down the side…..and black boxing boots. I place some wraps on my wrists for support, take up a black mouth guard and after coating my face with a thin layer of vasolin, I exit the changing room to enter a big room where the circular boxing ring is located. I climb the steps, and take up a position at the red padded post and do some more warm up stretches and shadow boxing, realizing it will not be long before Lara comes. Yt

15:51 Lara_Croft: My job as an adventurer requires me to be in peak physical condition and to have exceptional combat abilities, and so whenever I'm back home in England, I train constantly and intensely with the best trainers and sparring partners in London. I train in MMA for practical reasons, and in boxing because I enjoy it. But somehow, these training matches still feel a bit lifeless, they never capture the intensity of my life-or-death fights out in the field. So in an effort to find a match that will really get my blood going, I've contacted the owner of The King's Ring, a new bare knuckle boxing venue in London, and offered to help him promote his club by participating in a public bare knuckle boxing match, the only fight style whose energy comes close to matching the intensity of my adventures.
15:59 Lara_Croft: My main condition is that the identity of my opponent be someone skilled enough to challenge me, with their kept secret from me until the fight. I spend the next few days before the match training gruelingly on my bags, and when the day arrives and I enter the club to do this, I feel fit, fast and powerful. Earlier in my career, the minutes before a fight would give me butterflies in my stomach, but now, I simply feel calm and confident. I come out of my changing room with the lights already low and the seats already filled with an unusually classy crowd... not a whiff of beer or cigarettes reaches my nose, unlike most of the venues I box in. I walk out confidently in my favorite fight attire- a black sports bra, short black nylon jogging shorts, black boxing boots, black wrist supports, and with my long brown hair braided down my back.
16:06 Lara_Croft: I enter the ring, and finally get a look at my opponent, while my coach whispers to me that your name is Karina, from Dublin. So you grew up around bare knuckle boxing culture- lovely! I normally don't strut around, but because I did promise to make this a promotional event, I put my fists in the air and pose for a few photos. Then the referee brings us to the center and goes over the rules. No rounds, boxing to a KO only, extended clinching is permitted as long as both fighters are active. I smile and nod that I understand, and use the opportunity to say my first words to you... "Pleased to meet you, I can't thank you enough for doing this event. I'm sure you'll do Dublin proud. Apologies in advance for what I'm about to do to you."
16:11 Karina_Fighter: I watch very carefully as Lara enters the ring, mean and lean looking, all decked out in black. I know that I have to make my reach advantage work for me, and I know she will want a different style of fight. And clearly the 9 year age gap could play to the favour of either of us, experience vs speed/stamina being in play? I stare blankly at my opponent, but at the same time taking in how she moves, the length of her arms, and mentally adjusting how to deal with her. I roll my shoulders back and forth, and then loosen my neck muscles as I swing my head from side to side, my blond pony tail whipping back and across as I do so, and then I get called to the ring centre, where the scratch line is. I listen to the ref, and then Lara has a few words, some psychological bull shit…..”save it honey!”….and I nod to the ref that I understand and that I’m ready. yt
16:19 Lara_Croft: And then we hear "DING!" and it's on! My hands are up in a flash, right hand leading in a modified southpaw stance, though my hands are closer and elbows pointed down more than they'd be in traditional boxing. We close on each other quickly, and without breaking stride, I begin the festivities immediately with a fast but off-the-shelf combo of a long left jab at your nose, right cross at your jaw, left hook at your temple. It's a combo I've practiced thousands of times and can throw in less than a second. It's intended primarily to make sure that you start out on the defensive, not me, more focused on speed than putting my body into the blows for maximum force. I eye you intently as I throw it, watching your every twitch to start getting a sense of who you truly are. yt
16:31 Karina_Fighter: I immediately raise both fists to a high guard position, bringing them just under eye level, keeping them in close on both sides of my face, knowing that I no longer have the luxurious wall that 8 oz gloves would have provided, and keeping my elbows tucked in tight. I lead with my left foot, and then try to place myself at a diagonal to you, to present less of a target. As the bell sounds, you move quickly, and attack very fast, a left jab comes in at my nose, and I slip left, your left grazing the right side of my face, your right cross punches into my jaw…ARGGGGGG…….you score first I think…., and as I come forward, I dip to go under your high left hook and as I come back I unload my counter punches, a right hook to try to go under your left, aimed at your ribs, and then a double jab that I try to send at your nose in rapid succession……yt
16:41 Lara_Croft: You move left to slip my jab, but walk into my cross, and the feel of my fist connecting with your jawbone gives me the thrill I was looking for, reminding me of some of the chump henchmen I've enjoyed punching out in my adventures. You duck the hook though, which shows me you can take hits well and recover fast. You then slam your right fist into my ribs while my left is extended... I make a point taking it silently, somehow the impact of body blows without gloves doesn't feel as hard as with them, and I train to take hits like that from much larger men. I instead slip my head left to avoid your jabs while stepping in towards you and sending you a double left jab of my own at your right eye, I smirk of mockery crossing my lips. Then, while trying to stay close, I curl my right fist up in a short, sharp uppercut at your chin, showing you and the crowd that I love to fight in close. yt
16:53 Karina_Fighter: You easily slip my double jabs, having cat like reflexes, and my hook to the ribs did not seem to bother you…..So far, you have maintained the distance that I need, but you step in close, a real warning signal for me, and try a double jab set that I use my guard to block, and I know I don’t want you so close so I begin to take a step back when suddenly a right uppercut comes up towards my chin, I lean back away from it, and then fire back a left hook towards your jaw and a right hook towards your ribs and take a step back, needing to maintain the distance…..yt
17:07 Lara_Croft: I blink as you block my jabs then lean back enough to avoid my short right uppercut. You're clearly trained as well. My right arm moves and rises to block your left hook on my forearm, but I eat your right hook again, feeling your knuckles dig into my ribs and knocking a little breath from me. My feet mirror yours as I do my best to stay on top of you as you retreat from me, though your initiative and height help you get some distance from me anyway. Then as you start to slide sideways around the perimeter of the ring, I take a big step in the same direction to cut you off and lunge forward, guard close around my head, and fire a left-right pair of uppercuts to the front of your lowest ribs, before straightening up while curling another short but fierce left uppercut at your chin. I'm starting to breathe heavier now, partly from exertion, but mostly from excitement at the challenge. My eyes flash with the same excitement, anxious to show everyone here what both of us are made of. yt
17:16 Karina_Fighter: The fight is now moving at a faster pace than I had hoped….so far I’ve kept up with your speed, but have to wonder how long that is sustainable….My right eats into your ribs again, and I know the more I do that, the more you will not like it. You’re trying to get in close and I keep backing away from you when suddenly you lunge forward….and I keep my guard high as you rip a pair of uppercuts into my floating ribs that hurt like hell…..I could not block them because of your speed, and I know from experience that another uppercut is likely to come because you are so much in the range to launch one, and you don’t disappoint, this time you send a left sailing towards my chin, and I roll my right shoulder up and around to take the blow on my upper arm, and the counter with a right straight at your left eye socket, and a left uppercut at your chin, as I’m in uppercut range, and then take a long step back, breathing hard and trying to control the pain in my ribs…..yt
17:22 Lara_Croft: Your defensive instincts are superb. I wanted a fight against against a serious bare knuckle boxer, and I'm getting one. You indeed do Ireland proud as you block my second left uppercut with another smart twist of your body. My two body shots connected, but they were just meant as setups for the third blow, and I start to get concerned that I can't seem to land any big shots on you. MTC
17:28 Lara_Croft: I'm just in a poor position to block your headshots now, I was gambling that I'd have you staggering from my last uppercut. So you snap my head back with your right with a CRACK as your fist moves through my head as if it's not even there, it's a beautiful blow to look at, I can tell. I'm stunned and get my arms close to defend against more head shots, but I can't really see what's coming and I guess incorrectly that you'll follow up with a hook. BAM!!!! Your left uppercut smashes into my jaw undefended, and I suddenly see stars. My legs are fine, but I'm too dazed to defend well, so I lunge into you and wrap my arms around your back, clinching hard, and trying to drive you backwards with my legs while I get myself together. yt
17:35 Karina_Fighter: I’m now expending considerable energy retreating from you, you keeping pace with every backward step that I take, and I know I can’t fight you close up because it gives up my main advantage of reach. My defences are good, but you are throwing more punches faster than I can……but I get some hard licks in, a right straight smashes into your face hard, and a left uppercut lands into your chin….but you keep coming as I try to retreat, wrapping your arms around my back, my last large step backwards causes me to stumble back even further until my back presses into the top rope…….I try to twist my body to get you off me, knowing you have an advantage of surprise if you release me…..my body now glistening with sweat….yt
17:42 Lara_Croft: I have your arms trapped beneath mine as I clinch you hard and power you back into the ropes. I take a moment to enjoy the feeling of you twisting and struggling against me while my arms are clamped around you hard. My palms press against your back for a moment, and I feel your back muscles tensing underneath my hands. I hold you there for a moment in an attempt to show the crowd here which one of us is stronger. But I know that we can't remain like this forever, and I sense the ref advancing to break us up, so I slide my hands up your back for better preparation, then I suddenly release and step back, pulling my hands back over your shoulders, before slamming another double left jab at your right eye before ducking fast and retreating to try to avoid any similar attack from you, hoping that the fact that my arms were trapping yours will let me be slightly quicker on the draw than you in this race. yt
17:50 Karina_Fighter: I feel the warmth of your now moist body press into mine, and I see the ref coming towards us to break up the clinch, and you bring up your hands on my back, I hardly notice as I struggle to try to break free, and then suddenly you are off me, but BAM! BAM!....two sharp jabs punch into my right eye socket knocking my head back with each blow, and I can feel the tissue around my eye beginning to become puffy, and no doubt will discolour soon as well…..I wince in pain, but fortunately these were jabs and not power punches with your right…..I reform my guard quickly, and step towards you, judging the distance carefully you are in my range and I might be slightly out of yours, and immediately launch a right straight at your solar plexus region, a left uppercut at your liver, and then an overhand right towards your mouth…..wanting to get some punches in quickly as I breath in hard to absorb the shock of the blows to my right eye….yt
17:59 Lara_Croft: I feel two more satisfying connection with my left, but they were pretty weak as jabs go, and I know they won't do much to you other than make you less pretty. Which I'm grateful for, since I can already feel my left eye getting puffier from the straight right you landed a moment ago. Now I'm the one stepping back, and you're following me. You seem to be trying to stay at long range though, and so between the distance, my backpedaling and my natural speed, I'm able to swat your initial straight right away with my left hand, and I twist and lean left a bit to take your liver punch on my ribs instead of the intended target, though this time I can't help grunting as your power knocks air out of me again. My left is too low from the deflection effort to block your overhand right though, and the defensive twist slowed my footwork, so your overhand right connects solidly, nailing my mouthguard in a way that makes me extremely glad I'm using one, and knocking my head to the side.
18:03 Lara_Croft: But I can take hard hits one at a time when I'm still feeling mostly fresh, it's when opponents string them together I'm in trouble. I so I shake it off with a grin, then step in towards you with a sharp left jab at your mouth in revenge, followed a heartbeat later by a one-two pair of left-right hooks at your jaw, bracing myself for knuckle pain but happy to fight through it. yt
18:11 Karina_Fighter: The momentum of this incredibly fast moving fight is energy draining….I now wasting energy chasing you, but it was worth it, you swat away my right straight easily, and my left misses your liver, but connects with your rib cage, but I take great satisfaction at my overhand right connecting with your mouth….so surprising you can grin at me as I thought I might have flattened those lips of yours…….but again, there is a price to pay for these rapid energy draining movements….and as I retract my right, you shoot out a jab, punching me in the mouth, cutting my upper lip and causing a tickle of blood to run down to my chin, and then I take a left hook to my jaw, twisting my head left into a right hook, that nearly knocks me over, my head feels woozy, but I’m no stranger to pain, and from muscle memory, I send out a right straight under your hook, hopping to connect it to your solar plexus, and a left uppercut towards your liver, now wanting to stand toe to toe…..desperately trying to down you before my reserves of energy leave me on empty at the pace of this fight.yt
20:04 Lara_Croft: Now we're getting somewhere! I slam three hard hits into your head, knocking it side to side. I can feel that the impacts just aren't as hard as they would be with gloves, I can't follow through the same way, but I'm likely bruising you more. I'm shocked though as I knock your head around and you stand your ground rather than retreating. That's supposed to be my move! My arms are way out of guard from that combo, and I'm tiring and slowing from all this exertion, so your next two shots connect just as solidly as mine did.
20:14 Lara_Croft: HUHN! You smash my solar plexus with your right and I grunt HARD from it before my whole chest lights on fire with pain. I start dropping my right arm to block the left I see coming, but not fast enough. Your left uppercut hits like a bomb, with your fist sinking deep into my side, much deeper than you could with gloves. You really bury it in there, and my eyes water and my legs wobble for a moment with pain. I start to get second thoughts about which one of us is stronger. I can hear the crowd murmuring with appreciation at the beauty of your two body blows. I want to stay on my feet and trade with you so badly, but my body won't cooperate, and I drop to my knees on the canvas, arms crossed over my sides protectively while I try to recover. yt
20:22 Karina_Fighter: I don’t think you realise that your shots to the head are lighter than what you do with gloves, as you want to protect your knuckles, even at a subconscious level, and gloved punches to my jaws at your full power might have KO’d me…..which is why I went for body shots, at full power, which I see worked really well…..a shot to the SP and a shot to the liver really dropped you to your knees….”FUCKIN YEAH!” I hiss……breathless….and the sides of my face burning from your assault…..but the ref now pushes me back to a neutral corner…..”FUCK!”….I was so desperate to finish this fight…..I know I’m more powerful than you…..I can punch harder and have better identified the targets….but you are faster and probably have more stamina….and now I have to wait for this dork of a ref to count……1, 2, 3….yt
20:24 Karina_Fighter: "Doesn't this shit head know how fast a second is?" I think
20:29 Lara_Croft: I see you mouthing "Yeah!" to yourself as I go down, and it makes me want to beat your head in SO BAD. As long as I'm down, I take as much time as I can to recover from those brutal body shots. Part of me wants to just get up and slug it out with you with abandon... with my faster speed I still think I can beat you senseless toe-to-toe, woman-to-woman. But I know that I don't have the luxury of fighting dumb now, you have a reach and possible strength advantage, and I'm in worse shape, so if I'm going to give you the beating you deserve I can't slip up, and need to focus on the advantages I still have. So I take as much time as I can on the canvas, then push myself to my feet quickly after the ref says "8", getting my fists up and backing away immediately to buy myself a few more seconds to recover and strategize before we really go to war. yt
20:33 Karina_Fighter: The ref says fight, and both of us have reformed our guard in the centre of the ring, I send out a jab towards your nose to define my space, hoping to get it through your guard, but not expecting anything other than to make you keep your guard high, so then I step in closer, quickly firing a right straight targeting your solar plexus again, and then going for gold, pulling my right back, but keeping it low, I try to swing up an uppercut at your chin, at full power……yt
20:46 Lara_Croft: It's do or die time. I dodge right to slip your jab, leaning right even more to take your plexus shot on my upper left chest rather than dead center on the plexus... your knuckles catch some of my left tit, leaving a bruise there too. So far, you've done what I predicted, but the real test will be how you finish this combo.... liver shot or head shot, and I've started to sense that you like to finish your combos with big headshots, so I keep circling right in preparation. So my heart LEAPS when I see you start swinging your uppercut, and I know this may be my only chance. I plant my right foot, change directions in an instant with as little warning as possible, and slip my head to the left of your brutal upper, which still clips the side of my head as it rises. But then you're open, I hope, and I twist back right with the hardest left hook to your temple I'm capable of, forcing myself to ignore the pain that's coming to my knuckles. MTC
20:50 Lara_Croft: Meanwhile my right is already swinging up to hammer your chin from underneath an eyeblink later, and I pull my left back one final time to slam it forward in a straight for your mouth if I'm lucky. I'm in enormous pain but as pumped as I've ever been in a fight, knowing that this is my do-or-die moment, and against someone as skilled at this as you, my odds are iffy at best. But iffy-at-best situations are what I live for, and this is the best move I think I have to leverage my speed and stamina. yt
20:54 Karina_Fighter: The brief few seconds that I spent in the neutral corner has done little to restore my energy…..the fight is moving very fast, much more rapid movements than in a gloved fight…..I’m staying in closer to you than what I really want, largely because I feel that if I can trade blow for blow, my heavier weight will prevail….not the best strategy I know, but running around the ring is draining me at this stage…..my jab is easily slipped, and my right straight connects with some of the tissue of your lower tit…..it must have hurt…..and the I send in my right to uppercut your chin….but you slip left and my fist strikes mostly air on the right side of your face….basically doing no damage….before I can retract my right, your left is outside my right arm, and you take full advantage of the situation….slamming a left hook directly into my temple…..mtc
21:00 Karina_Fighter: This is stuns me so I don’t see the right uppercut plowing into my chin, nor the right straight the punches into my mouth…..I’m daized and stumble backwards, now my back presses into the ropes, which prevent me from falling…..the only thing going through my mind, as my knees begin to buckle, is what the fuck…..I reach out with my right trying to steady myself on the ropes…..unwilling to go down, and bringing my left up to try to protect myself…..yt
21:12 Lara_Croft: YES!!!! My change of direction gives me the opening I need to get past your excellent defensive skills, and I connect three times, though the pain in my left hand from that opening temple shot is horrible. But now all my fighting instincts are kicking in and my body moves almost automatically to do as much damage in your moment of weakness as I can. I feint a right at your face to keep your hands high, hopefully benefiting from how badly my last combo rocked your head, while dropping my left arm and then pivoting HARD into a shovel hook for your liver, almost mouthing to my "YEAH!" as I deliver it. I do my best to sink my left fist as deep into your torso as you did mine, trying to bury my fist inside your body. Then I quickly twist and pivot into a much faster right-left-right triplet of hooks for your sides, trying to hammer a rhythm on your body almost musically. I want to break your body, and show everyone here how much harder mine is than yours. yt
21:19 Karina_Fighter: I see you coming towards, much faster than my mind can register right now, my head spinning from the massive left hook that you planted in my temple…..Oddly…..i wonder if you broke bones in your hand doing the shot…..but my chin is nearly wrecked from the right uppercut and your followup right straight to my mouth……but here you come again…..you feint a right at my face, but reactions are sluggish and I don’t bite on it, my guard now formed at shoulder level, you drop your left to shovel a hook at my liver, but I twist my body and take the shot on my arm, but as I come to centre, I’m not prepared for your triplet of hooks into my sides, I grunt in pain, as the pounding makes loud sounds of knuckles beating into flesh…..I’m in agony, but my stubborn Irish nature won’t let me go down, even with my knees beginning to turn to jelly, I swing out with a wild right haymaker towards your jaw, as my back presses even deeper into the ropes…a last attempt to drive you away…yt
21:27 Lara_Croft: You're fast enough to block my liver shot, but I pound your abs anyway after. I almost laugh as you telegraph your desperate right haymaker, and I duck it easily before popping right back up and slamming a left hook at your right cheek while your arm is still out, then a short, close right uppercut at your chin. I really should be going for your temple or jaw with my left, but I'm hoping that going for your cheek will cushion the blow on my knuckles a bit. I have to restrain my power on it anyway, but the right is meant to ruin your day. yt
21:35 Karina_Fighter: My haymaker shot at Lara, gives the ref a clear indication that I’m still fighting, but it was a weak attempt at best, but allows the ref to let the fight go on. Before my right comes back you slam a left hook over my right, punching hard into my chin…..I see the uppercut coming and manage to bend back hard into the ropes, so that it clips my nose, causing blood to spurt out……..but the hook did the damage….my reaction delayed a couple of seconds as my brain goes from the front to the back of my skull, and then back again…..and I feel feint, my legs just fold from under me, and my back just slides down the back of the ropes, landing me on my ass…….my blue eyes are open, and I can see you standing over me….your fists still raised……yt
21:37 Karina_Fighter: blood from my nose staining my bra, a black eye.....a total wreck......and in a stupor..........yt
21:41 Lara_Croft: I'm still bouncing on my toes above you, fists up as you breathe heavily on the canvas. Totally pumped now, my whole body yearning to fight. But as the ref pushes me away while he starts the count, I relax for a moment and drop my hands to my sides, still fidgeting with unrestrainable energy with my feet. I'm ignoring the cheering crowd, just letting my still aching liver and left hand rest for a bit while the ref counts. "Come on, Irish." I say to you from above, 10 feet away. "Get up and fight me." yt
21:47 Karina_Fighter: I hear that bitch taunting me......telling me to get up, and I hear the ref counting.......and i'll be damned if i'm going to lose a fight by a TKO.......I wait.....and then begin to slowly get to my feet......my head hurts like fuck.....but I'm not dizzy.....I drag this out as lang as I can, the ref looking me over and asking if I want to fight on.....I wipe the blood off my face from my hands....and say "shit yeah"......my legs are still rubbery but I reform my guard........too proud to stay down......yt]
21:51 Lara_Croft: I get my fists up with a smile as I see you struggle to your feet, waiting for the ref to wave me in again. He does, and I bounce out towards you joyfully. Although it's tempting to just whale away at you right now, I know I don't need to, and from past experience I know that it's not over until it's over, and overconfidence has done me in before. So instead I weave my fists in my guard, bobbing my head left and right, bouncing on my feet and circling with you a bit, daring you to come and slug it out with Lara Croft some more. yt
21:54 Karina_Fighter: I’m wondering if the situation were reversed, would Lara have stayed down for the count? I’m thinking maybe we will find out in the rematch, unless I can work a miracle as this smaller amazon comes at me…I’m now flat footed, as you still have energy to bob and weave around me, but if I tell myself, if I get at you, I’m going to cream you…….and the watching you bounce around gives me a little more recovery time…..but I need you to come at me……I wiggle my fingers at you, trying to provoke a response…….”c’mon bitch, show me what you got!”…….yt
21:58 Lara_Croft: You decline my taunts and offer one of your own. So I shrug my shoulders and commence the festivities again. While dancing a bit on my feet, I snap a left-right pair of straights at your solar plexus again to keep you on the defensive and lower your hands, then twist into a right hook at your left eye, trying to close it up too with my less-injured hand, still staying light on my feet, looking to dance, not brawl, with my greater stamina. yt
22:02 Karina_Fighter: My reflexes are slow, my head is aching like something you would not believe, and here I continue to try to box it out, bareknuckle with this younger, energy driven woman. I know any attack I try on her will fail, my only chance is to defend and counter punch…..pretty pathetic, I know, but here we are….and here it comes…..you swing out with a pair of straights at my SP, and I take a step back to et them fall short, yes, I can do that much……so my hands are not lowered, and as I come forward, I dip under your right hook, a miracle in itself, and try to counter punch with a right straight at your SP, my reflexes to sluggish to get another shot in as well….but I grin at you as you realise all three shots missed…….”c’mon Lara!”yt
22:13 Lara_Croft: You annoy me with your cautious response to my attack, but I can't really blame you, I'd be playing it careful too in your position. You grin as I whiff to rub it in though. Two can play that game though... I dodge back as well from your long plexus strike... I think I could have deflected it with my hand, but it's not worth the risk, and I keep my hands high. My left hand is still seriously injured, and my left eye is partially closed, but these delays have at least allowed most of the pain from your cruel liver blow to fade, and my body feels ready to fight. I lunge in towards you suddenly, with my guard tight around my head, but instead of punching as I get close, I put both hands on your upper chest and shove you dominantly, not really trying to hurt you, just having some fun with the bigger but broken fighter before I put her away for good. yt
22:17 Karina_Fighter: I surprised baby bear and tweaked her nose…..which might have been a mistake, but fuck, I’m not going to let this bitch put me down without a proper fight, even though my face is wrecked and my ribs are bruised……. Again, I can’t match your speed anymore……and I can only really counter punch, assuming I can defend against what you throw at me…….your still moving fast…..I brace myself for the next attack, knowing it is likely to be more sophisticated and brutal than the last clownish attempt….and here you come charging into me…..expecting an attack….but suddenly your hands are on me….giving me a sharp shove…so totally unexpected……I was not ready for this, and it sends me stumbling backwards…my arms flying to my side making circular motions…..when I stop….I get angry and charge at you with a combo of straight punches at the centre of your face…left-right-left….using what little energy I have left in sluggish punches….yt
22:25 Lara_Croft: There we go, I think as I see anger cloud your face... there's Karina again. I try to slip to the right of your combo, but your first left still cracks into my nose, and I feel warmth in one of my nostrils, before your right connects a bit with my left cheek as I move to dodge it, not doing much harm, but reminding me of how easily the tables could turn if I'm not careful. That's ok, it was worth it... I move right to avoid your next left, then slam my still good right fist at your jaw in a fast hook, before stepping in closer and curling both my fists up at your chin in a left-right pair of uppercuts, the right one much harder than the left. I'd love to turn your face into a ruin, but just seeing you bloody, bruised and beaten at my feet will have to be good enough for today... I'm still wary of your power and serious Irish bareknuckle training. yt
22:26 Lara_Croft: oof, so many typo, you know what I mean
22:30 Karina_Fighter: One of my strikes hits you in the nose, but neither of the other two does much damage. I’m totally spent, every ounce of energy now drained….my ability to defend myself is depleted….I know it, you know it, the small crowd of spectators know it…..I could not put you away when I had the energy…. I banged you up good, but it was not enough to put you down…..and then the counter punching comes….a vicious right hook slams into my jaw, and shit, I can’t even roll with the punch, a fast moving left uppercut slams into my chin, not so hard, but then a MASSIVE uppercut with your right sends my body flying backwards and landing as a heap on the canvass……not moving….totally KO’d……..yt
22:35 Lara_Croft: I finally let myself relax and celebrate as I smile down at your bruised, bloody face, putting my left fist in the air in triumph, my abs showing clearly in my stomach as I breathe deeply, relishing the sight of Dublin's best beaten at my feet.
22:35 Lara_Croft: The end!

Many thanks Lexi! This means a lot coming from such a great fighter as yourself.

This was a really well written match.

The pacing of the intro, the factors taken into account on each play by play...

Some folks might be tempted to just try and catch who won but if they did they missed out on a talented display of constitution, technique, and discipline from both fighters.

I love fights like these because they dont read as scripted, making each post feel intense as the flow of the combat proceeds.

Hopefully there'll be a rematch sometime.
