12:52 Ines_Smith: It is a Saturday afternoon and my club is challenged for an interclub match with our local rival club. The first youth matches have passed and the current score is 2:2. so it is all about the ladies fight to set the final score for today. Back in our locker room, my coach checks my equipment for a final time. And fixes my white 8oz Fairtex gloves with tape. Besides the gloves I wear a tight white sports bra and a white Thai trunk. Then we are called to the ring and I am the one to enter first. Making my way to the ring easy and silent. My coach opens up the ropes and I slip through ropes 2 and 3 and enter the ring. Backing up in our red corner as i wait for my opponent to arrive. The only thing I know so far, is that she is about my size and weight.
12:52 Ines_Smith: Yt
12:55 Patti: I arrive at the fight club sports hall for a Muay thai match with Ines Smith, someone I’ve never fought before, and it is an interclub match. Given that the club is 2:2, it is now down to us ladies to determine the final outcome. I’ve changed into some black Muay thai shorts with white trim, a black sports bra, and have wrapped my ankles for protection. I will be using black 8 oz Muay thai gloves and of course a mouth guard, but white. Size wise, I have a very slight advantage over my opponent being 5ft 6 in and 130 lbs…….but age wise I’m 6 years older at 30. After doing some light stretches and a little shadow boxing to warm up, I come out to the ring and climb the steps to the apron and then slip through the top and middle rope to go to my blue corner, looking over Ines as I go. yt
13:12 Ines_Smith: My opponent climbs up to the ring. A girl named Patti, that I have never seen before. My coach puts my black mouthguard into my mouth and I bite down on it and smack my gloves together. Showing my toned body. You have some inches on me as I stand 5‘4 but we equal in our weight. The ref calls us to the center and I focus you with a determined look on my face. Not even blinking as the ref takes one of eachs gloves and holds them against each other in the middle. He goes over the rules, which I have heard often before and so I barely listen and stare right into your eyes. Smiling at you with my black mouthguard. „…. If you like. Touch gloves and come out fighting!“ he finishes and I reach out to tap your gloves hard. Showing respect and a glimpse of my power.
13:12 Ines_Smith: Yt
13:20 Patti: I move to the centre, to listen to the refs instructions. Your stare makes me uncomfortable, so I just stare blankly back at you, not blinking, and showing no emotion. I know I’m ready for this, and I will make my club proud of me. At the end of the instructions, I send out a snappy tap into your gloves, and then offer a little smile, as if to say, whatever. As the signal to fight is given, I raise both gloves in front of my face, and begin to bounce lightly on the balls of my feet, and to bob erratically from side to side, and begin to circle to my right, deciding to measure you up before attempting a strike. yt
13:25 Ines_Smith: The bell announces the start of the first round and I raise my hands up in an orthodox stance. And come out of the corner easy on my toes. Moving more like a boxer to stay quick should you go for a surprise attack. But you bounce on your balls and bob from side to side. We circle each other in a safe distance. Measuring each other and looking for an opportunity to attack first. The seconds pass by and I start to bounce on the balls of my feet as you. Then charge forward, throwing a quick snappy left low kick at your left thigh and charge forward into striking distance to hit your face with a first left jab-right straight combination and test out your guard and reaction.
13:25 Ines_Smith: Yt
13:32 Patti: As I circle, and keep a close watch of your movements, and for any indications of an offensive move, suddenly you make your move. You send out a snappy low kick, crossing your left towards my left thigh, so I move to the right, to let the kick just graze the side of my left thigh. Then you charge forward, sending a jab and right straight towards my face, punching into my raised gloves, and forcing me back a step, but I counter with a right push kick, trying to target your sternum, and as I bring my foot back to ground, I try to advance with a left/right hook combo aimed at your jaws, trying to curve each punch around your guard. Both of us being warmed up and fresh at this stage of the match. yt
13:41 Patti: R1T1
13:41 Patti: yt
18:30 Ines_Smith: You are quick on your feet and get out of my leg kick. But my punches hit your guard - at least - and force you to go back. Your counter kick hits my sternum right between my breasts and pushes me back about two steps. And you folllow me and try to connect to my jaw with hooks. I bend backwards and duck under your hooks and then come up again. Throwing a left uppercut right on your navel and try to connect it to a fast right cross to your nose. To get into distance again. I use another quick left jab to re-establish a safer distance and circle you again with quick moves.
18:30 Ines_Smith: yt
19:04 Patti: I feel my right foot push into your sternum, and it forces you back, but as I try to follow you back, you very quickly duck under my hooks, leaving me to look like i'm shadow boxing with the air. As you come up, you are inside my guard and swing a nasty right uppercut into my navel, as I tighten my abs to absorb the blow, but this is followed by a quick right cross to my nose, that hurts, rocks my head back, and starts a little dribble of blood coming out. You also throw out a jab, but I parry it with my right forearm, and quickly send back a combo of left and right overhand punches towards your temple, stepping forward to maintain contact, and hoping I can go over your guard with the overhand punches. yt
19:07 Patti: R1T2
19:15 Ines_Smith: I feel your hardened abs through my gloves as my uppercut hits home. They must have absorbed almost all of the power and that leaves an impression on me. In the next second i can feel the feedback of my right hitting your nose all the way through my arm. Oh, how i love this feeling! It doesn't matter, that my jab only hits your forearm. You return quick and come with overhand punches. I manage to deflect your left by hitting it with my right glove and pushing it out of direction. But still in the move, there is nothing i can do about the left. My head gets pushed backwards and i blink and have to shake my head. We are definetely not playing around anymore. I throw a quick but hard left kick at your right thigh just at the upper end where all the nerves are and then step back in, punching with a right hook to your jaw. Not willing to back up or give you control of this fight early in this round.
19:15 Ines_Smith: yt
19:25 Patti: Your speed and expertise impress, having humiliated me with a bloody nose in the opening of moves of round 1. And you are not backing away, willing to go toe to toe with me. I begin to redeem myself a little, as I feel my left smack into your temple, thinking that might disorient, but as I try to advance to follow this up, your left foot comes out and smacks into my right thigh, making me wince in pain. I manage to keep in contact though, so then a right hook comes at my jaw, which I weave under, and as I come up, I try to send a left hooking elbow strike up into your jaw, and then pivot quickly, in an attempt to land a spinning back fist with my right glove onto the centre of your face. As I turn back around to centre, I try to wipe some of the blood off my nose and mouth with my left glove. yt
19:33 Ines_Smith: You take my kick and wince, but weave under my hook easy. I rush to pull my right back into guard. And see you are coming in with your elbow. I manage to bring my forearm inbetween and wince in pain as your elbow crashes into it leaving a red spot. You pivot, probably thinking that i am disoriented from the elbow and set up for a spinning backfist. But i manage to weave under it now and hit a hard right cross into your abs just as you turn back and follow it up with a quick left pushkick to reset the distance and circle you again if i manage to push you back just a little.
19:33 Ines_Smith: yt
19:39 Patti: My elbow strikes something hard, and that led me to try the spinning back fist, but my back fist hits only empty air, and as I come back to centre, you strike out with a fast moving hard right cross into my abs, and then a left push kick towards my abs as well…….I did not have a chance to tighten the abs for the cross, so it eats into me hard, but as I tighten them for the kick, that sends me back three steps, so I can’t immediately counter punch. Breathing hard from the blows, I raise my guard and begin to circle with you, bobbing from side to side. yt
20:11 Ines_Smith: My cross connects and I expect to feel hard muscles again. But instead I impacts deep into something soft. Probably throwing your organs through each other. As i kick your abs are Hard again and you step back. Finally time to catch my breath. My breast pumping as I take some deep breaths and circle with you. We bob from side to side again. Waiting for chances to attack, our team members cheering us loud from the sides. But I only hear that from far away as my total focus is on you. I just feint a quick jab to your face to force a reaction and maybe counter after that.
20:12 Ines_Smith: Yt
21:12 Patti: I'm breathing hard as I circle the dance with you, the cross to the belly taking some wind out of my sail. I was expecting you to attack as I was pushed back from your kick, but you seem to be content to circle with me, until a jab flicks out towards my face, and I raise prepare to block it with my guard, but the jab never comes. But this gives me the opening to move, deciding lunge forward, sending a left cross at your left glove, trying to punch it out to the side for a second or two, so I can send a right straight towards the centre of your face, and then as I step in closer, a left knee strike at the centre of your right quads.......yt
23:19 Ines_Smith: You charge in to close distance and hit my left glove. A loud smacking noise makes its way through the arena as leather hits leather. And i can't keep it up straight. Instinctively i pull my head back some inches. Just enough to take the power out of your cross. But it still connects and i can feel the leather on my face. You continue your attack with a knee into my tensed abs. "OOOOOOFFFFF!" i breathe out hard to soften the impact. And try to return a right knee strike at your navel while you are still in close distance. My skin around the point of impact starts to burn. I try to keep that out of my mind and hit a right cross to your temples. Following it up with a quick left jab to your face to push you off again.
23:19 Ines_Smith: Yt
23:28 Patti: I manage to get your glove out of the way, but I feel the power in my cross start to drain as you pull your head back by instinct. My knee strikes in hard, and I have to give a slight smirk as I feel my knee pound hard into you, but before I can move out of range, your knee comes up fast, striking me in the belly button, and pain radiates out from the point of impact. I see your right cross coming up, and I don't have to dip my knees too low to avoid it, as I feel the rush of air go above my head, as I come back up, though, a fast jab connects with my cheek and causes my head to snap back a few degrees. I'm still in close, in pain, more in the abs than the cheek, but feint a left jab back at your temple, wanting you to look high, and then try to shoot a right straight out towrds your solar plexus region, and follow this with a left hook going for your jaw, wanting to test your boxing skills, as I bob side to side......and try to keep going toe to toe....yt
07:07 Ines_Smith: „Oooooh!“ the crowd noise rises as we exchange knees. You duck under my right cross easy but my jab catches your cheek. This quick exchange has both of us almost equally taking and giving. As i pull my left back to guard I can get a glimpse of your left coming high and raise my gloves to a high guard to block. „Gnnnnnhhhhhhh!“ a Heavy right straight strikes into my solar plexus, pushes my back two steps and takes wind out of my body. But it also pushes me out of reach and your hook passes in front of my guard. I breathe hard and fight the pain for a second. Then I raise my knee for a teep kick. With my leg low it seems like I am about to crash your abs just again. But in the very last second I pull my leg higher and hope to let the sole crash into your chin. Showing off my flexibility. If I manage to hit your chin, I will put my left leg down and pivot on my left toes. Spinning in for a hard right round kick to hit just below your ribcage. (Mtc)
07:09 Ines_Smith: Taking a high risk now as the warning buzzer announces the last seconds of the first round. But I can’t leave out a chance now, as this fight is way closer than I wanted it to be from the start.
07:09 Ines_Smith: Yt
09:03 Patti: My feint to the temple works, and it lets me punch a right straight into your solar plexus, which naturally forces you back a couple of steps so that my left hook only swings the empty air space in front of your face. Your still in kicking range though, and you telegraph a teep kick as your knee comes up, I’ve no idea where it will go, so I split the difference and lower my gloves to chest height, then you demonstrate your kicking skills, raising your leg higher, and launch the ball of your foot towards my chin. It first smashes through my guard, and then smacks into my chin, snapping my head back. I suspect my gloves took some of the power out of the kick, as this would have been a KO kick, but it leaves me momentarily stunned as my head comes back forward, then your spin on your left toes, launching a round house kick with your right, that cuts into my side like an axe. This kick sends me careening off my feet and onto my side near the ropes.
09:03 Patti: As I land, grimacing from pain from the two hard blows, the bell sounds.yt
09:35 Ines_Smith: I can feel your gloves touch my feet as it smacks through your guard. Still hitting your face but not as hard as it could have been. I smirk as i circle and Hammer my roundkick into your side. Sending you tumbling into the ropes. I try to take the advantage and charge into you for another attack. But the bell ends this round and I have to stop in motion. With a big smile of my black mouthguard I point my left glove forward for you to tap and nod in respect before I walk over to my corner to sit down on my stool. My breast heavily pumping as I try to recatch my breath. My coach places some ice in my neck for me to refresh and I drink some small sips of water
09:35 Ines_Smith: Yt
12:59 Patti: I slowly push my gloves into the canvass, so that I can push myself up, onto one knee, and then get to my feet, holding my side with a glove, and hobble back to my corner. Clearly, I will have to deal with your kicks in round 2, and I think I know the strategy that I want to use. I spit out my mouth guard into a bucket, and notice a little blood mixed with the spittle, clearly the result of the teep kick to the chin. That was just luck that my gloves prevented a full power kick. After getting towelled down, and a cold pack placed on my side, I get a fresh mouth guard inserted and then I get up to my feet, banging my gloves together, and wait for the bell. yt
13:06 Ines_Smith: My mouth guard is refreshed and I feel refreshed from the break. My breath calmed down and I know, that I took the way better outcome and have a clear lead on the scorecards now. As the bell rings again, I raise my guard back up. No need to rush this time. Slowly I walk out of my corner and focus you. My guard tight and my abs already tensed. I look out for signs of a fast attack as we close and circle again. My weight on the balls of my feet and ready to counter you.
13:06 Ines_Smith: Yt
14:05 Patti: I come out of the corner slowly, at the sound of the bell, very aware that I need to pace myself. And to catch up after the disastrous ending to round 1. I begin to circle to my right, my guard now up, and scanning you for movement, from head to toe, now aware at how fast and powerful your kicks are. I’m determined to watch those legs closely. I bob gently from side to side, and put my reflexes on high alert. Initially, I stay out of kicking range, but then suddenly dart in quick, I feint a left straight towards your solar plexus, figuring it might be a bit tender, and you might try to protect it, but then I shift the trajectory and try to swing it up towards you chin, and then hook that I hope to curve around your guard towards your jaw. yt
18:40 Ines_Smith: We circle and ob from side to side in an almost choreographed way. For some seconds the tension rises. Before you take your chance an dart in. Your left coming for my solarplexus and i cover up high and try to jump back. Your left hits my gloves way higher than expected with a loud smacking noise. You continue to charge and we are in close distance now. I see you are throwing a hook and try to get even closer to you. "GNNNNNH!" Too late! Your hook pushes my head aside and i feel dizzy for a second. Again, my fighting reflexes take over and i try to wrap my gloves around your shoulder for a thai-clinch. Blinking to get my vision clear again and shaking my head. If i manage to clinch i will throw a hard left and right knee to your navel.
18:40 Ines_Smith: yt
23:53 Patti: This is now close combat, as you move into me, but my hook lands before you get too close. But you keep coming, and get your gloves on my shoulders, and I know I’m in danger, so I tighten my abs as your hard left knee comes up, striking my navel, my face contorts with pain, as not even tightening my abs will mitigate all of the pain, but it does stop the knee from rearranging my internal organs. I lower both gloves as your right knee comes up, blocking the knee from striking a tender area, and then try to strike my right glove upwards between your outstretched arms, aiming an uppercut towards your chin, and then try move back from you. yt
09:35 Ines_Smith: In an almost classic Thai move we Clinch and I Hammer my knee into your abs. Almost overcoming the resistance of your hard muscles. The pain distorts your face and I get a great feeling for a second. But you take your gloves down and block my next knee. Leaving me open for an attack now. I try to pull you even closer to bring my chin on your shoulder but you build up pressure against and keep me away. Now I know I am the one in great danger and tense my abs, expecting you to send knees. „GNNNNNNHHHHH!“ my teeth are clenched into my mouthguard hard and my head flies back from a hard impact onto my chin. Blurred in my vision I step back, indefensive and uncontrolled. I end up 3 steps back, almost touching the ropes and not very clear to fight. Before you can continue your attack I see a shadow coming between us and feel a hand on my chest. „STOP!“ I hear the referee yell. He sends you over to a neutral corner and starts the count on me. „1….2…..3…..4….“ i blink my eyes (mtc)
09:36 Ines_Smith: And try to regain control of my aching head and my wobbly legs. My corner shouts commands to keep the gloves up. And I try to raise them again. Feeling my heart racing in my chest and shaking my head to keep the aches away again.
09:36 Ines_Smith: Yt
09:42 Patti: I managed to get enough space between us in the clinch to bring up an uppercut, and that seemed to work really well, as you have a vacant look on your face, and of course the ref stops the fight very quickly, to do a standing eight count, and to assess you. I'm hoping a TKO might be declared, and I wait in my neutral corner, but no such luck. The declares "FIGHT!", so I move out of my corner as quickly as I can, although energy is running low. I need to capitalise on that uppercut, so I come at you, orthodox stance, and try to get within range of straight punching, and hoping you might still be stunned, send a double left jab towards your nose, in an attempt to see if I can send them through your guard before you react. yt
09:51 Ines_Smith: He continues to count up to 8 and I nod quickly as he asks If I want to continue the fight. Still feeling dazy a little, but cleared in my vision I put my guard back up and he clears the fight again. You move in quick and try to throw to jabs at my nose. But my guard is back up and you only hit leather. I raise my left knee up and try to push you back with a teep kick into your abs. Followed by a high side kick coming for your cheek. Feeling much safer in the kicking distance for the time, and hoping to put the pressure back on you.
09:51 Ines_Smith: Yt
09:58 Patti: I realize that you can defend as you ably block my jabs, and then your knee comes up and a quick moving teep kick plows into my abs, sending me back for or five steps, I don't come forward because my abs ache......you have been working them over pretty good during this fight, and its a good thing i don't rush back, because a powerful high side kick comes out, that just falls short of my chin. But this creates an opportunity to rush forrward as your leg comes back, so I move quickly towards you, and try to curve a right hook around your guard, hoping it will land somewhere on the side of your face, and then hoping for more magic, I dip my left shoulder and try to send an uppercut between your guard, wanting to target that chin again......yt
10:07 Ines_Smith: My teep lands on your reddened abs and pushes you back. But just a little too far as my side kick misses your chin by inches now. I try to bring it down but you Rush in again. Not giving me much time to prepare. I try to duck right and under your hook, but it still scratches my cheek. And bend backwards a little so that your uppercut hits the air as well. Coming back up I hit a left hook coming for your right side just below the ribcage hunting for your liver. And follow it up with a quick left jab at your nose. To get the distance again
10:07 Ines_Smith: Yt
10:14 Patti: My hook is avoided as you move, so it only grazes your cheek, and my uppercut hits only the air as you lean back, leaving me unbalanced and vulnerable. You send a left hook into my lower left side, targeting my liver, causing intense pain to shoot through my body, my face now shows it too, distracting me from the left that that smahes into my nose and causes some blood to once again dribble out. I need some distance now, and a few moments of time to let the pain in my side subside, so I take a few quick steps back to put me out of range.....yt
10:19 Ines_Smith: I can feel the hook and the jag connect and see some red sprinkles on my glove as I return to my guard. That makes me smirk right away. You backpedal fast and try to get out of range. But I know that I can’t miss out on this chance. So I hunt you down through the ring in a quick sprint. Cutting your way off to lead you to a corner. And kick two snapping side kicks into your hurt left side to keep you busy with your pain and try to pin you against the corner now.
10:19 Ines_Smith: Yt
10:25 Patti: I try to keep my guard at mid level now, needing to protect my body and face, the blood now moving down my chin....and i can see a little red on those white gloves of yours......i'm getting trapped in the corner, by your fast movements, and two rapid side kicks are sent out, the first one plows into my gloves as i lower them, blasting them both out to the side, and the second one, I avoid by twisting to my right, letting it pass just in front of me, and the i turn to face you, trying to come out of the corner and box you backwards, with a quick over hand left, trying to go above your guard towrds your temple, and a right hook towards you cheek, trying to curve it around your guard, desperate to try to escape this. yt
10:36 Ines_Smith: Once more you prove your almost perfect defensive work and block my first kick to twist out of the second. With your back almost at the cornerpost, I feel that you will try to rush out and try to raise the tension in my arms to harden my guard. You try to come over it and I bend into my knees a little. Letting your glove pass above my hair. As i come back up we are so close that our gloves touch each other’s. I can feel your warm and sweaty body and hear you breathe through all the noises from our corners and the crowd. Your hook hits my cheek and my head gets shoved to the left with another little moan. I try to get back up again fast and not let you out of that corner. I throw a knee to your navel, working your red abs again. And hope to push you back as I twist my hips in to add some extra power to a right uppercut, running close to your chest and hoping to make it to your chin.
10:36 Ines_Smith: Yt
10:43 Patti: My overhand left falls just over your head, and then my followup right hook hits your cheek, but this is not enough to move you back, your knee comes up fast, and I gasp from the pain as it smashes into my belly button, the pain is intense and distracting. with my gloves out of place, a wicked right uppercut comes up, and I lean back far, and take half step back as it narrowly misses my chin, but now my back is firmly pressed into the padding of the corner turnbuckle, I bring my guard up quickly, in a high guard and brace myself for an attack, as I try to work through the pain in my body....which is intense. yt
10:51 Ines_Smith: My knee rises the pain and I can clearly see that in your eyes. Still you step back and my uppercut hits nothing. But now you are pressed against the turnbuckle and the crowd starts to go crazy. Some shouting at you and the supporters of my club cheering loud. Your guard is high and protecting your head. Almost out of the book. But I know your stomach is the weak spot now and so I raise my knee for another teep kick into your abs and then come closer, hoping for a lowered guard to hit your jaw with a left hook. To trade damage before the round ends
10:51 Ines_Smith: Yt
10:56 Patti: Your foot explodes into my abs, and I try to tighten the muscles, but it feels like my guts will explode, and then, as you predicted, my guard shifts down, and I take a hook to the jaw, that sneds my face twisting to the left, i know I need to try to hold on for the bell, but this is a very tough situation. With my lowered gloves, I try again to box you back, sending a right straight towards your solar plexus, hoping to push you back.....the ref looking intently to see if I will fold, but decides intervention is not yet necessary as I'm still fighting back. yt
11:01 Ines_Smith: With your face twisting left, something in my looks change and a kind of anger can be spotted. Your straight hits my solar plexus and sends me back one step. But not enough for you to get out of the corner. I send another teep to your abs… but stop it before it hits, put my foot down and step in close again. Going for your jaw with a left-right combination of hooks and then for your temples with a left cross
11:01 Ines_Smith: Yt
11:07 Patti: Your feint with the teep kick works, as I bring my gloves down to block it, i'm protecting my body at all costs, it's not a concious decision but rather a refexive action. But shit, I realize it is a feint too late, my face gets smashed rapid fire with a left/right hook combo, and a left cross flys up into my temple, rocking my head back into the corner turnbuckle, my knees start to buckle, and I try to lock them and press myself into the corner even tighter to hold myself up, the ref looks on with concern, but sees me starting to raise my guard......yt
11:20 Patti: Suddenly the issue becomes moot, as the DING! happens, and blessed relief....the ref now steps in, pushing my opponent back, and I drop my gloves and slowly come out of the corner. I feel I might have lost this round, even after having caused my opponent a standing eight count, but we shall see. My midsection aches all over, and does my head. I return to my corner and sit on a stool as the team stems the blood flow from my nose, and put cold compresses on my right side to stem the swelling. My coach wants to know if I can go on, and I say hell yes, but false bravado is my middle name. And then all too short, the warning buzzer sounds and my mouth guard gets reinserted, and I get back to my feet, feeling shaky, but otherwise my head is clear enough to fight on. yt
15:54 Ines_Smith: You bring your gloves down and take heavy damage to your head. Wobbly on your legs as you lean back against the turnbuckle and I get ready for another uppercut to send you down again. But not this time as the bell ends the round and I get pulled back by the referee before I can punch again. Giving you a last fierce look before I return to my corner. I sit down on my stool and the coach knees in front of me, allowing me to rest my gloves on his shoulder, as I try again to calm down my breath. Ice applied to my forehead and chin and I drink some water. My body shining from the sweat. And we are set to go again. „…. Last round. Stay calm, focus on your kicks and bring it home!“ I hear my coach and stand up with my mouthguard back in my mouth. I stand back in my orthodox stance and easy on my toes. Looking to let you attack first and counter again.
15:54 Ines_Smith: Yt
19:13 Patti: I slap my gloves together, and as I get into an orthodox stance, coach says "watch out for her kicks, and protect your body!"....."Put her on the canvass!" and then suddenly DING!....I move out towards the ring centre a little faster than I should, given I took some really hard knocks in round two, but I don't come straight towards you, instead opting to circle to my left, and keeping my gloves now at shoulder height, splitting the difference between protecting my head and body. I can see you don't engage me immediately, wanting me to try something first. I come forward quickly, trying a quick snap kick with my left leg towards your right inner thigh, wanting to try to slow you down, and also see what you have left......and then try to skip back a couple of steps. yt
22:58 Ines_Smith: You come out fast and we meet some inches closer to my corner as we start to circle again. It seems like you expect me to go first and you are irritated for some seconds as I stay passive. But then you dart in and snap a quick kickboxing my backfoot. I think a second too long about my options and take the hit. The smack makes me wince and I try to return a leg kick, fast and snapping but not very hard at your left leg as you already step back again. Following you I try to push you back to distance and get control of the fight again with a left push kick at your belly button.
22:58 Ines_Smith: Yt
23:08 Patti: I feel my left snap kick land on your inner thigh, but as I step back, I'm bit surprise for you to come forward with a snappy kick to my left leg, pushing me back, making me wince from the pain, and then again with a left push kick into my abs, this was a powerful kick, but I'm already moving back, so it does not do much damage. I'm trying to remember my instructions to watch out for kicks, but easier said than done. As your leg comes back, I move in quickly again, trying to swing a left/right hook combo around your guard, hoping to connect the punches with your jaws.....yt
00:34 Ines_Smith: My kick hits your thigh and just as I planned it, the push kick scratches your abs and increases the distance. But it takes time for my foot to go down after this stretching kick. And so you are able to rush in again. I weave left to avoid your first hook. As you fire a second one right into that move. I try to turn my head away. But not quick enough. My head gets shaken once more and the dazy feeling comes back. I return a left hook at your jaw. Hoping to hit you back before your right returns into guard. And a right cross at your chest. But this punch is anything but precise as I move back with it and just want to distract you from a further attack and get back to a kicking distance…
00:34 Ines_Smith: Yt
00:42 Patti: My left swings out, a well formed hook, but suddenly you weave to your left, and my hook never reaches the intended destination, but your weaving to the left leads you to encounter my right hook, that smack the left jaw, I call this combo the double wammy……but as I pull my right back it is at shoulder height and your left swings out and BAM…..it smacks into the side of my jaw, twisting my head to the left. This is disorienting, and the right cross shoots out, pummelling me in the centre of my breasts, pushing me back three steps, and into a place I don’t want to be, as I bring my guard back up to orthodox. yt
00:46 Ines_Smith: My hook hits your jaw and I see your head flying around. And you are pushed back. Back into kicking distance. You bring your guard back up but stay in the distance and we circle again. This time I try to make the first step with a quick left low kick at your bruised thigh. To keep you away and let more time of the round pass as I feel like I am probably leading on the scorecards
00:46 Ines_Smith: Yt
00:53 Patti: We begin to circle, and your left foot comes out again, landing a low kick into my already bruised thigh, making me wince in pain, but it reminds me to get out of kicking distance, either move back or forward, and I make the split second decision to lunge forward quickly, feeling I need to score some catchup points, and I feint a left hook towards the side of your face, but check the left, as I then shoot a right straight out towards your solar plexus, but the left is quickly then sent out again, this time with a real left hook aimed high, towards your temple. yt
01:04 Ines_Smith: Once more I can hurt your leg and you wince. It seems like you limb a little from that hit. But maybe that’s just my imagination taking over now. You Lunge forward and i start to backpedal in the same second. I weave right to avoid that hook and…. „Ooooooffffff!“ take a hard hit at my solar plexus. I wince in pain and feel the air getting pressed out of my exhausted body. Trying to catch my breath again as I raise my guard back up. „Gnnnnnnnh!“ and my head gets shaken again! Your glove crashes into my temple and I stumble to the right and back. Trying to defend and sending out a desperate push kick as I feel I get close to the ropes. Hoping to hit your stomach with this attempt and to escape sidewards.
01:04 Ines_Smith: Yt
01:09 Patti: My attack worked, something worked out in a split second, but you weave away from my feint, and I catch you in the SP with a solid right, and then a decent left hook that is for real this time. Of course I'm going to follow this up, and ummmfffff........I get a psh kick in the gut that sends me stumbling back several steps towards the ring centre, and gasping for air, and all I can do is watch you slide away from the ropes and move towards a more central area that I really don't want to share with you. yt
01:32 Ines_Smith: Still dazy and a little wobbly on my feet I feel my kick finding your gut more than I can see it. I shake my head and the first thing I can see is the ref leaning in on my. I wink and raise my guard back up. And quickly move to the center where you are gasping and trying to find out what hat happened. As we are back in the center I take my time to settle and fight the aches in my head. Then I decide to Lunge forward and kick a teep kick. It seems like it is aimed at your abs. But in the last second I raise it up a little and try to crash the sole of my left foot into your solar plexus. And raise my guard back up, feeling my arms getting heavier after these hard fought rounds
01:32 Ines_Smith: Yt
01:41 Patti: You come back out to the ring centre slowly, and I'm using this time to let the pain in my belly subside, and we go to guard up. But rather than waiting for me to initiate contact, you suddenly come at me, i'm watching your foot work carefully for any sign of the kick that I am positive is going to come. Your knee goes up, it looks like you might target my abs, but rather than wait, I step right, and as you leg lifts up, and goes high, I'm on the outside of your left leg, and rushing forward, I try to hook the underside of your knee for a moment with my left glove and send a right hook towards the side of your head. yt
01:50 Ines_Smith: My kick isn’t as fast as it could have been and I can see you step right out of the kick. The next moment my eyes open wide in a shock as I see and feel your glove hook in underneath my knee. I try to put my foot down but you hold up against that and I can barely keep balance as I shell up in high guard. Knowing that you will hit me or pull my leg away to let me just fall down. Your hook touches my left glove on its way. But it just gets deflected by a bit and hits my cheek. I stumble to the right again. Blurred vision and wobbly legs. And i lose control for a split second. My left foot hits the ground in an unsusual ankle and I fall to the floor. Sitting there and trying to get my head clear as I hear the ref start his count „1……2……3…….4……“ my head seems to explode but I try to push off the ground „5…..6……7…..8…..“ I stand up and raise my gloves. Hoping to be cleared again as I already hear the warning buzzer announcing the very last seconds of the fight
01:50 Ines_Smith: Yt
10:37 Patti: As you go down, and the Ref intervenes, pushing me to a neutral corner, as he does the count, I’m feeling good, thinking this will give my score a boost, and yeah, I avoided an almost catastrophic kick. I can see my coach across the ring giving a thumbs up. You get up as I expect, my right hook did not have major knockout power, because of the angle, and you went down must because I had hooked my left glove under your knee and you were on one leg. The ref clears you for fighting, and I come out with me guard up and in orthodox stance. I begin to bob from side to side, and try to stay back from your kicking range. yt
11:38 Ines_Smith: I am up on my feet and we are cleared to fight again. My coach shouts at me to go all in and knock you down now. I come out in my orthodox stance and my guard high, protecting my head more than my body. You stay back and are almost flighting. But I rush in, eager to put you down now. I feint a quick left low kick, but step out to the right and try to hunt you downtown to get in range for a massive left-right to curve around your guard and rock your jaw hard
11:38 Ines_Smith: Yt
11:44 Patti: I prepare myself, and am watching your feet closely, and a quick left low kick comes out, I step left to avoid this, but rather than kicking, you step right, cutting into my left movement, and a left hook comes out, curving around my right glove, and smacking me hard, and twisting my face into an incoming right hook!......I feel woozy and take several quick steps back in full retreat......as suddenly the bell rings. DING! yt
11:54 Patti: At the sound of the bell, I'm breathing hard, and breathing a sigh of relief, the match is over, three rounds ended. I move to my corner and spit out my mouth guard, the sides of my face burning after getting pounded by your leather in the last parting shots of the match. My coach looks nercous, shrugs his shoulders, "Could go either way, Patti". I start to sip water slowly, as I get towelled fown, and I can see a flurry of activity at the judge's table, an intense conversation going on. yt
17:31 Ines_Smith: My hooks smash into your jaw and you retreat in panic. Just as I try to set up for the next attack, the bell ends the round and I return to my corner. My coach leans in „I guess we have lost this, but it’s a close one!“ I spit my mouthguard into his bucket and nod. There are vivid discussions at the judges table but then a paper is handed out to the ref and he calls us to the center. I join in at his right side and he grabs my left wrist as the announcer grabs the microphone „Ladies and Gentlemen, after 3 rounds we have a draw. All judges score 30-30. As we need a decision for the interclub ranking, there will be a fourth, decisive round now. After a short break of 2 minutes!“ I look to my corner in a mix of shock and relief.
17:31 Ines_Smith: Yt
17:42 Patti: I can only say I am stunned.....as stunned as if I just took a full on teep kick in the chin. I move back to my corner to prepare, not just physically, but mentally for this new and very unexpected challenge. My coach is all smiles, tells me I can do this, as he massages my shoulders. My mouth guard is reinserted, and at the warning buzzer, I get to my feet. and slap my gloves together, wanting to make some sound. yt
17:45 Ines_Smith: My coach smiles to me as I sit down in my corner again. „See, the judges are on our side! Now it’s on you. Continue with your kicks. She has nothing against that!“ I nod and get my mouthguard reinserted. As the bell sounds I raise my guard back up and explode out of my corner towards you. Almost running into kicking distance and waiting for you to step forward to snap a low kick at your bruised thigh again.
17:45 Ines_Smith: Yt
17:52 Patti: I come out of my corner, slower, and suddenly you have come two thirds of the way across the ring, so I form an orthodox stance, I see you are going to chamber another kick, and I'm not in boxing distance yet, and i would certainly be nailed if I tried to move in just yet, so I try to beat you to the kick, first sending a right low round house kick towards the side of the knee of the leg that you are itching to fire off, and then try to circle to my right, try to pivot and then plant my right foot down, lean to my right, and send a left side kick towards your abs. Deterimed to show coach that I can kick too. YT
18:16 Ines_Smith: We meet a bit after the center as I manage to cut off a lot of ring space already from you. But you don’t step into my trap. Instead you kick at my knee. I shift weight to my right leg and jump back out of the kick. You continue your attack with a side kick to my abs. I lean my upper body backwards and try to tense my abs again. And kick a left low kick to your right leg that seems in range now. „Oooof!“ I breathe out with the foot impacting my abs and continue my kick. Trying to plant my foot down as quick as possible now to rush into your and rock your head with another hard uppercut at your chin.
18:16 Ines_Smith: Yt
19:01 Patti: My low kick only sweeps through empty air, as you quickly dart back from it. As my side kick comes out, you are already leaning back from it, and sending out a low kick with your left. I can feel my left press into your tightened abs, but not with much power because you increased the distance to my target site. Your left foot pops into my lower right leg, causing me to stumble back a couple of steps, but keeping my balance, but grimacing from the pain of the strike. The distance between us is closed fast, as you rush forward, swinging a right uppercut towards my chin, and I manage to lean back just a fraction late, and rather then cleanly missing me, the upper clips my nose, causing a dribble of blood to come out. Damn! But you are in range of my gloves, and where I want you, and as my head comes back forward, I dip my left shoulder and try to send a left shovel hook punch towards your liver region, and follow this up with a right straight towards your midsection. yt
19:12 Ines_Smith: I feel my kick connecting as I continue to rush in and hit the uppercut. Sadly missing your chin but luckily clipping your nose. And some more blood colours my right glove now. We are to to toe again and I see your shoulder dip and quickly twist my body to the right. So your hook misses my liver but hits my tensed abs hard. I feel the pain and know that would have been much greater if it had hit my liver. You follow it up with a right straight at my midsection, I can deflect it with my right forearm as I tighten my guard. A pink spot shows where your glove hit. And now I try to rush forward again. Attempting a left hook at your liver now and then another quick and.hard right uppercut at your chin. Then i try to step back quick
19:12 Ines_Smith: Yt
19:21 Patti: I feel my left shovel hook connect with a solid wall of abdominal muscle, and know that I did not do much damage there, and then my right straight punches into your forearm, protecting that delicate bundle of nerves in the centre of your body mass, we are both going hard for body shots, and I stick my right forearm out to parry your left hook away from my liver, our forearms now clashing together, with mine on the inside of yours, I try to shoot a right straight up towards your left eye socket, but just as I'm doing this, your right comes in hard and fast, poping me in the chin, rocking my head back, and making me stumble backwards until my back presses deeply into the top rope, which keeps me on my feet. Since you moved back from me, the distance between us for the moment is considerable. I look unsteady on my feet, but raise my gloves, so the ref does not intervene yet. yt
20:27 Ines_Smith: You stick your right forearm down just in time to block. A sting of pain rushes through my arm as your bones crash into mine. Then my uppercut hits you hard and rocks you all the way back to the ropes. Out of my range. You look shaken and unsteady. So I decide to dart in again. Throw a teep kick at your chest to pin you to the ropes and then step in closer to sink an uppercut into you stomach
20:27 Ines_Smith: Yt
21:01 Patti: I try to bring myself to focus, that uppercut rocked me, the ref seems to know this, as he watches on intently. You rush forwards at me, sending a teep kick that lands on my chest, and nearly pushes me through the ropes, gasping, and as you dip your shoulder to send an uppercut to my stomach, I tightnen my abs to try to take the blow, but it hurts and it forces some air out of my lungs. In desperatiom, I try to swing my right knee, targeting your abs. yt
23:25 Ines_Smith: The teep pushes you hard against the ropes. And I can feel your hard abs through my gloves as my uppercut hits home. We are still in close combat and so I have no choice but to take your knee. My abs tightened and I breathe out with the impact. Still it hurts and pushes some wind out of me. I try to retaliate quick with a left hook at your chin and a right one at your jaw.
23:25 Ines_Smith: Yt
23:31 Patti: I feel my knee strike into your abs, and I can tell from your face that it hurt. I try to keep my guard up, blocking the left hook to my chin with my right glove, but then the right hook plasters my jaw, and it feels like my brain is reverberating around the inside of my skull. I need to get off these ropes, so I try to reach across with my left hand to place it behind your neck, and if I can pull you in closer, I will try to send a hooking right elbow towards the side of your face, and maybe slide down the ropes and circle to get away. yt
23:44 Ines_Smith: My left hook hits only leather but the right gives you something to chew on. Still you are on your feet and not going down. Damn! You try to clinch with one hand and I try to use my upper body to stand against that. You pull me in some inches and I raise my forearms. And feel something very hard impacting into my left forearm. I moan in pain but have deflected your elbow attack. As the pain decreases again I try to put you back against the ropes with a right knee just inches above your beltline
23:44 Ines_Smith: Yt
23:53 Patti: My elbow crashes into your forearm, and well.....it hurts, as well, and of course, it is not your jaw. The ache in my elbow is distracting, and I get pused quickly back into the rope, and gummfffff......I take another knee strike just below my navel. I drop my guard to shoulder height to try to use my forearms to protect my body. I've got to get away, so I try to slide along the ropes to try to escape, let the pain subside, and reset. yt
06:59 Ines_Smith: You bend and moan from my knee strike and try to slide away. As you move to your right and more and more out of my range, but towards a corner. I need to stop your moves before you get out of my range and away from the ropes. So i move back just a Little and realize, that your guard is temptingly low now. I switch my stance to southpaw in a split second and pivot on my right foot, my left high in the air now for a spinning round kick. The ball of my left foot races towards your temples and I can hear „oooooooooh!“ from the crowd as they recognize what is about to happen now.
06:59 Ines_Smith: Yt
08:53 Patti: My intent is to move towards the corner, and before I get there to swing out to my left, and move to the centre of the ring where I will have greater manoeuvrability. This was the plan, anyway. You bring your right foot out to the lead, and then launch a massive spining kick with your left leg, my gloves are lower than they should be in my haste to get away, and with my movements towards the corner, I actually step into the kick, the ball of your foot smashes into my temple. It's an odd sensation, as for a second or two, I think....wow...but then things start to wobble in my brain, I loose power and control, as the crowd, the ref and my opponent see my knees begin to buckle, my eyes roll up and go blank, and I'm propelled back to my left, collapsing on the canvass. For an unknown period of time, things go blank, i don't know if the ref did a count or just waved the fight finished, because there was a medic hovering over me when I regained consciousness. I doubt I was out long. yt
09:31 Ines_Smith: The risk pays off as I feel a feedback from the Kick rushing through my leg. Seconds extend to unknown length as you first seem to take that kick without damage and then slowly begin to buckle and then collapse onto the canvas. I can see your eyes closed as you hit the ground unconscious. The ref steps in and pushes me away from you and instantly waves the fight off. No chance to recover as you are out cold. Your team and medics rush into the ring as I start to realize my victory and raise my left fist high in the air and shout a loud victory cry. Then the ref declares the result with you still on the ground. But at least your eyes are opened again. I come to your side and get down on my knees.I hope you will feel better soon, thanks for the great fight!“ and then i stand up and leave the ring
