20:55 Hanna29fights: I have been an employee in the corporate offices of a gym near my house, Life Fitness, for years. It’s a great gym, even has some padded rings for wrestling and boxing. I usually get to workout for free at least once a day, sometimes more. I have also done some amateur matches in clubs since my early 20s, either, rough submission wrestling, rules NHB matches or some boxing. I win some and lose some. I have never fought here in the gym and no one knows of my fighting experience. Needless to say most of the girls in the corporate department are totally inexperienced. So, one day I was talking to Jenny, the owner. She wanted to get us more active in the facilities and to have our gym members interact more with the staff and also encourage members to rent out the fighting facilities. So, having a sense my co-workers can’t fight for shit, I suggested we do some competition for some bonus money. mtc

This will be like shooting fish in a barrel. I would love to fight any of these girls from the office. She suggested that maybe she would give $1,000 for each win. 20:56 Hanna29fights: I come to the office on a typical Monday morning. Jenny tells me that we have a new employee coming in to start work today and that she has stepped up to wrestle and box. She will be here at 9 am. Well 9 am rolls around and low an behold Patti strolls in. I say, “Hi Patti, I remember you. I already fought Patti. We had a brutal battle at a private club and I barely beat her 2 submissions to 1. Even worse, it was rough submission wrestling and Patti is an even better boxer. 20:56 Hanna29fights: The day of the fights arrives, a Friday. It was agreed we would fight after work. Basically, the wrestling will be similar to the last match with Patti, rough submission wrestling, one fall. Generally, with one exception, no punches to the face, neck and head area. We can slap in the face, pull hair and are allowed a limited number of shots to the chin. Can submit to anything, a painful submission hold or getting beat up in the corner. Immediately after the wrestling, we will box. No rounds. Just box until one of us is knocked out, like unconscious. mtc

I enter the ring between the top and middle ropes, walk across the padded mats to the far corner. I start to loosen up, get a sense of the ring and prepare to fight. 18:38 Hanna29fights: I am always a little nervous before matches and this one is no different, especially being in front of my co-workers, half of which are either drama queens or weak jealous bitches always ready to tear you down. That thought alone offers enough incentive for me to want to crush Patti right here, right now. The possibility of $2,000 if I win both the wrestling and boxing is icing on the cake. As I watch you enter the ring, do your kick, I start to feel the tingle of rage kick in.

While our first match was a virtual toss-up, Pattie knows I have had several other wrestling matches since, wins and losses, fought women of many styles, MMA, BJJ, learning different things along the way. I also took up boxing, endured an epic beating vs Felicia, a 6’1 boxer, in my first ever competitive boxing match. But also won a couple boxing matches against women more my size. While Patti is probably looking forward to the boxing part, she has to get past the wrestling first and boxing is not going to be as easy as it might have been had we boxed some time ago. Patti got crushed by Felicia too—and someone named Alexis, she knows that, but maybe I should remind her.

Jenny has no idea what she is hearing and what she is about to witness as these two former opponents get ready to crush the other in her gym. After going through the rules, Jenny asks “You ready to fight, ladies?” I look at you, then Jenny, and just nod and take a step backwards. Shaking out my arms and legs.

As you get up close to my right side, there are only a few things you could be going for, the most likely strategy is to try to trip me. While your right foot is raised, I turn into you and use my left arm to swat away your oncoming right arm. I lunge with my right arm and try to curve it around the front of your neck, trying to knife my forearm into your throat hoping to rip you down backwards into a kind of reverse headlock and squeeeeze the fuck out of your neck if I get you.

I plant my left foot down solidly in front of me, and decide I will slug in out with you, as I think that your lighter weight body can dish out punishment, but can’t take punishment like mine can. The fact that I’m still standing after all the blows you have delivered in wrestling and now in boxing is a testament to my toughness. You send out a nasty left hook to the side of my face, and I weave under it, letting it swish over my head, and then I step to my right, knowing that you are most likely going to punch out with your right glove, so that your predictable right uppercut to the body just grazes my left side.
15:24 Patti: You then pull back your right, trying to send out another uppercut, this time going for my chin, I was thinking you would go for the left glove, to keep a left/right/left pattern going, but no matter, I use my left glove to stop the access to my chin. And now I’m ready to brawl, with your right glove driven away from my left, I first use some long range punches, sending a fast moving left overhand bomb towards your right eye, and then taking a half step closer, I try to rip a right uppercut between your guard, trying to target that chin of yours, hoping to crack it open like a delicate crystal vase. I keep my feet planted solidly, as I make it clear, you want me, you got to duke it out. yt

You duck the left hook, then anticipate the right to the belly as my right uppercut grazes your left side. My right uppercut aiming for your chin gets blocked by your left glove. But I am not giving an inch. I know you’re dangerous and tough, but I also know you’re hurt. I see that overhand left coming as my right glove is jammed under your left glove for a split second and all I can do is duck the left which grazes the top of my head. I quickly dig out my right glove as your right arm swishes over my head, and send a hard right hook aiming for your wide open left side hoping to SLAM it in just under your left breast and work those ribs.
16:37 Hanna29fights: You keep coming as we trade punches and send a right uppercut to the chin hoping to take me out. I pull down my left glove to cut it off, but your swing gets partially through and POPS me in the chin "PAFT", jerking my head back some. I shake my head to shake off the uppercut but keep you in front of me, moving from side to side, moving my gloves up and down. Looking for my next opening, while keeping my distance from you to fully recover from the partially blocked uppercut to my chin.
17:08 Patti: My overhand left get’s avoided by you quickly ducking low, and then I get hit with a right hook under my extended left, SLAMING me just under my left tit. It was a clever boxing move on your part. My monster of a right uppercut seems to catch you under the chin, I know it was partially blocked, otherwise you would probably not still be standing, but it must have hurt, because you have backed away from the fight. You’re moving well, but I’m not having any of this retreat business. I decide to stay after you, and lunge forward, using all my energy reserves and ignoring my pain, I try to split your guard with a quick jab at your nose, and then try to curve a left and right hook combo around your guard, hoping to paint your jaw lines with powerful strokes of my gloved fists. yt
17:28 Hanna29fights: We trade punches, me slamming you in the ribs and you popping me in the chin. You decide to keep coming. Gloves up, elbows in tight. My legs feeling good as I bob and weave, shuffle my gloves, eying you like a hawk. You lunge forward and snap a quick right jab, I swing out my left glove hoping to come inside of your right wrist and swing your arm out opening up your guard some and lean into a straight right hoping to pound it into the middle of your face. You keep coming, swinging a right and left hook, I raise my left and right gloves in tandem to the side of my head “PAFT” “PAFT”, your left and right SLAMS into my gloves, causing my gloves to slap into my head and rock my head first to my right, then to my left. The partially blocked and indirect shots rock me some, but nowhere near as powerful as direct punches. Stepping to my left and backwards, side to side, paying attention to the ropes and corners and their proximity to me, hoping to make you work those legs.
17:36 Patti: My jab with my right get’s deflected as your left arm pops out, which loosens my guard considerably, and then your right shoots out like a rocket, your glove mushrooming over the centre of my face, partially obscuring my vision, as I simultaneously send out my hook combo that pound your gloves into you face. I blink my eyes from the impact of the hard right on my nose and mouth, and feel a little unsteady on my feet as I raise my guard, and follow you as you move about. I wave my gloves at you to come at me, as I’m not going to chase you unless I’ve hurt ya. yt
17:52 Hanna29fights: That face punch felt great. Stopping you in your tracks for a split second, before you rock me some with your wickedly fast combination. I wouldn’t say I buckled your legs in any sense, but you seem unsteady on your feet. You wave me on, but its you that needs to get this over with before your legs weaken further, not me. I bob and weave some, shuffle my head from side to side, up and down, but try something different. I want to press YOU. I lunge forward aiming my gloves for your gloves hoping to shove you backwards closer to the ropes and the corner. Send a right uppercut aiming as low in your stomach as possible to try to come in under your elbows using your bikini line as my target.

You lunge forward, pounding your gloves into mine, I'm determined to stand my ground, but the force of the impact sends me backwards towards the ropes. I'm keeping a high guard, so your right uppercut sweeps in under my elbows, pounding me in the abs that I tighten to absorb some of the impact, but my mouth still opens with a big O shape and a grunt. The impact bends me forward just a tad, and I try to send a quick left straight over your lowered right, shooting for your nose, and then a right jab shooting for the same spot, and then step to my right, trying to circle, as the ropes are only a couple of feet behind me. yt
18:10 Hanna29fights: I shove you backwards and bury my right uppercut into your stomach, the force of the punch bending you forward. You quickly counter, “PAP”…. “UGHHHH” sending a straight left over my lowered right, as your glove compresses into my face, slamming me in the nose-stinging me and causing my eyes to water some. The power and shock of the punch stops me in my tracks, jerks my head back and sends me backwards on the padded mats. You lunge with the follow-up jab, but your straight right sent me too far backwards for it to land. Shaking my head, blinking my eyes, to clear the blurriness. I take a few steps back on the mats and to my left buying some time.

18:20 Patti: My abs are now aching, but I have some well developed abdominal muscles that are still holding up. Indeed, at this point there is not any part of my body that does not hurt. My left lands solidly on your nose, rocking your head back, and my follow up right just lands in the empty air space. You’re back peddling over the canvass, needing time to regroup. RIGHT! This is it, my big chance to take you down, I tell myself. I feel a sudden rush of adrenalin, and I know it won’t last long, before fatigue and pain take over. I rush forward with speed, now changing into my traditional orthodox stance, left glove and foot leading.
18:20 Patti: With you looking a little stunned, I try to send a double jab with my left at your right eye when I get in range, trying to snap each punch between your guard, then a monster of a right hook towards your jaw as I get even closer, trying to curve it around your guard, and finally I dip my left shoulder to try to land a shovel hook punch into your liver. yt

Not entirely sure whether the punches are rights or lefts, or their intended target, I just know they are up, so I raise both gloves to cover my face. “PAP” “PAP” your jabs tap hard into my gloves, sending me back even further as my head jerks back. “PAFT” A right hook partially blocked slams into part left glove, part head, sending me leaning hard right. Rocked some but so far unscathed by the punches. Both gloves high, trying to survive the assault, “PAFT” “MMPPPHHH” “AUGHHHHHH” I don’t even see the wicked left smashing me under the ribcage, slamming into my liver. Instinctively, my right elbow drops and my right foot lifts off the padded mats as I fold some from the vicious punch to the body.

I see the left coming, but there is not much I can do about it, I need to protect the right side as another punch there, would crush me. “PAFT” “UGHHHHHHHH”. Your left hook slams me in the right side of the face, nailing me hard in the jaw, knocking the mouthguard halfway out of my mouth and sending my head HARD left. “PAFT” “OOOOOFFFFFF” your right uppercut lands just beneath my tits in the upper middle of my stomach. The punch ejects the mouth guard from my lips.
19:21 Hanna29fights: My boobs hanging and rolling some in my top and your punch folds me a raises me to my tippee toes—then leaning back and backpedaling on the padded mats as the ropes save me from a hard landing on my back. My right elbow protecting my right side. My left arm covering my stomach. My feet stepping here and there, my knees weak as I sway in the ropes.

I sense you closing in on the mats, “PAFFFFFFFT” “AUHHHHHHHHH” I don’t even see it coming, a wicked uppercut under my chin, you punch straight through me. My neck stretches, head jerks backwards, my gloved hands splay as I rock back on the ropes. As I spring back some from the ropes, my legs give out, essentially unconscious, I paw at you in the hopes of draping myself on you to break my fall forward.
