Chapter 9: Promission Training through Spain - Part 1

After the mysteries of Germany left The Traveler devastated and confused, he decided the best way to move on was to move out. After getting the details from his personal coach, he took the earliest flight he could out of Germany. Next stop: Spain. After getting a full night's rest, he contacts his personal trainer to let him know he's in Spain. He sends Traveler an email of who is next trainer will be, along with what style of training he's in for. Adam Reigns; 5'9", 167 lbs, for promission, aka pro submission, wrestling.

01:22 The_Traveler: The morning after I landed in Spain, I get an email from my fitness coach of who my trainer will be and what I'll be training in. "Hmm, Mr. Adam Reigns, 5'9", 167 lbs, pro submission wrestling... This is gonna be new, and he seems to be a formidable wrestler. It's a good thing I'll be meeting him to train," I say to myself. After reviewing Mr. Reigns' profile, I shoot him an email. "Good morning Adam, my name is Jackson, and I believe my fitness coach has been in contact with you to verify my interest in wanting to train with you in pro-submission wrestling? I have a background in striking based martial arts, and I've been in Italy and Germany for the past two weeks learning freestyle submisson wrestling. Let me know what time works best for you and where to meet you, and I'm there! - Thanks, The Traveler"

10:22 Adam_Reigns: Just back from a trip away, I have a long list of emails to plow through. Skimming through the subject bars I come across an intriguing training request and remember a PT friend of mine was going to recommend me to train a client of his. I've never considered myself an expert in pro-sub, but I get by and can definately give the guy a good grounding in holds and moves (and tricks!) and I'm impressed by the "Traveler's" dedication embarking on a world-wide search to improve his skills. He also says he's been learning freestyle AND is skilled in martial arts. Sounds like I might learn a thing or two from him also! Who knows? I decide to give it a try and reply suggesting a meeting at my gym to start off as soon as we can.

11:09 The_Traveler: I get an email back from Adam, suggesting we meet at his gym and that he's available as soon as possible. I shoot a reply back to let him know I'll be down there in the early afternoon hours around 1pm. As soon as I send out the email, I punch in the directions on my phone's GPS and see that Adam's gym is quite nearby to the hotel, so I set an alarm for 12:30pm, and I get back onto my hotel bed and begin meditating, to reflect on everything that happened so far. Time flies faster than it should, and the next thing I know my alarm goes off, so I pack all the essentials in a dark green sling bag and head out to the hotel and make my way to Adam's gym. As I near the gym, I shoot him an email to let him know I've arrived.

15:27 Adam_Reigns: The Traveler will arrive early afternoon, which is a good time as the gym doesn't normally have users around this time. I spend the morning looking up training schedules I have used in the past, and planning how to get the most effective methods to work with the Traveller. Still intrigued to know who this is and what will happen. I change into training shorts and vest and do some stretching and light muscle work as our appointment approaches. My phone pings an email and the Traveller has arrived. I tell him the door is open and get ready to meet this enigmatic character.

15:54 The_Traveler: I enter the gym and go to meet you at the ring where you're stretching beside. "Hey, Adam, right? Nice to meet you, I'm Jackson!" I go to hold out my hand to shake yours. I see you in your training shorts and vest, have this feeling you're a well seasoned wrestler. My body contracts here and there through my standard black compression shirt and dark green athletic shorts.

23:15 Adam_Reigns: I am presented with my new training partner- slightly shorter and lighter than myself, but obviously powerfully built in frame. We shake hands. "Please to meet you Jackson. I hope our time together will be productive for us both. I'll leave you to get warmed up and prepared and then we can hit the ring when you feel ready. Looking forward to our first session."

23:19 The_Traveler: "sure thing Adam," I say while locking eye contact with you. I then go to a side of the ring, put my bag down, take off my shirt and shorts to reveal my signature training camo-themed compression shorts, and take from my bag and slip on my hand wraps and ankle support socks. I begin stretching and doing some light jumps and shakes to get my body loose, energized, and ready. After I do my final stretch and wind my arms back and forth in a windmill fashion, I walk over to you and say a little excitedly and a bit tense, "alright Adam, I'm ready! Should we get in the ring?"

23:24 Adam_Reigns: I see you have a really ripped build as you stretch out and shake yourself loose. I can also see you're a little uptight or nervous about what might happen during training. "Yes let's get in the ring...But relax...we can do this two ways: Have an initial fight so I can see what you bring and what we can develop from that, or start with by praticing some holds on each toher before we spar..what would you prefer Jackson?" I ask as I slide into the ring and lean my shoulders against the corner turnbuckle.

23:26 The_Traveler: I take a couple deep breaths to relax myself a bit... I look you up and down, observing your build and can feel your experience emanating off you. I close my eyes to contemplate, and then upon opening, look up at you "let's start... With a spar so then you can fully assess everything!"

23:28 Adam_Reigns: "Ok Jackson, let's do that - no holding back from you is all I ask, and to expect the same from me". I move to the centre of the ring..."Let's start with a lock up"

23:30 The_Traveler: I nod at you affirmatively, "of course Adam," I meet you at the center... "Collar/elbow lock up or test of strength lock up?" I say while keeping light on my feet and moving back and forth

23:32 Adam_Reigns: "Collar elbow...to start"...I move around the ring circling you..watching to see if you instinctively mirror my movements...

23:33 The_Traveler: I go to match your movement and pace, but add two extra steps to keep my own rhythm in, and then I lunge at you to initiate the lock up!

23:37 Adam_Reigns: As you lunge towards me I bring my left leg slightly forward, wrap one hand behind your neck, as you do the same to me, and my other hand grabs your other lower forearm, and we lock up. Pressing my weight against you

23:40 The_Traveler: With my right leg slightly forward, we balance the force on opposite sides, however with your slight weight advantage over me, you are able to shift me back a couple shuffles. I try to stay planted and get a feel for your strength but I can tell it has the potential to be quickly overpowering. I begin to lessen the resistance by voluntarily stepping one step back, observing for any changes in body angle

23:42 Adam_Reigns: At first I feel you defiantly pushing back on me full force, but then you slightly step backwards as your resistance lower...I quickly force your forearm upwards and swivel to side step youwrapping both my arms around you from the back and throwing you down to the canvas on your side

23:44 The_Traveler: When I see you force my forearm upward I immediately realize my mistake, but you utilize the break in guard and your own speed to quickly toss me on my side. I instinctively put my hand towards the damaged area but very quickly roll up to one knee while coughing, trying to rise up to both feet, hoping I have enough time

22:37 Adam_Reigns: You take the fall well and roll up to one knee. I swivel and side step behind your wrapping one arm round your neck from behind, while the other pressures the back of your neck in a reverse choke, leaning back i apply further pressure

22:41 The_Traveler: "fuck!" I let out as you get behind me and apply a reverse choke. As you lean back though, I let my feet get off the ground to gather some energy to generate momentum, and I wrap my hands around your head at the last second and lunge us both forward to try to throw you off me! If that works, you'll have hit the ground and I'll try to get to one knee to recover

22:58 Adam_Reigns: You raise your legs to try to destabilise me, but as you lunge us both forward attemoting to throw me off I wrap my legs round you and twist to the side so we both crash down to canvas, my legs scissoring your waist and one of my arms still in place wrapped round your neck...I roll u so that I am under you and begin to tighten the scissor

23:00 The_Traveler: "ARGHHH!" I let out as you just lock in another hold. In a cycle, I try to pry that one arm around my neck off and try to beat your legs to see if they would loosen, doing this over and over hoping it would get me loose

09:56 Adam_Reigns: You start fighting back trying to pull my arm away and punching on my legs..I'm still underneath you and as you raise your arms to try to pull mine away from the choke, I quickly release the hold but loop my arms under yours and joining hands trap you in nelson scissor combo..begin to stretch you out, pressing on the back of your neck..tigthening the scissor

10:01 The_Traveler: "AGHHHH, Adam..." I let out as you switch the choke to a full nelson and tighten the scissors. "I can't.. go out.. like this.. DAMN!" I let out, and I plant my feet to the ground and try to raise my lower body to destabilize the scissors while rocking my lower body and midsection back and forth, hoping to destabilize the scissors and get us rolled over

23:51 Adam_Reigns: You bridge up to try to get me to loosen the hold..I wrap my legs slighlty more inwards so that they are pressing down on your calves while at the same time I press my hands further forward on the back of your neck. I can feel you weakening.

23:54 The_Traveler: I strain even more, getting weaker. You're completely dominating me, and as I get weaker, I get more disappointed I'm not living up to any expectations. Finally, I let out, ".... Urghhh... Fine.... This isn't over Adam..." And I tap on your interlocked hands

23:55 Adam_Reigns: I release the hold, rolling you off me as I do..I stand, smile and reach out a hand to pull you up..."Just showing you some moves Jackson...as a starter"

23:57 The_Traveler: I take your hand to get myself up, struggling, so I grip onto you a little tight. "Damn, I should have gone with moves demonstration before sparring" I chuckle out. "Now I fully know why my coach put us in touch," I say with an exhale while rolling my neck

11:10 Adam_Reigns: "Ok Jackson, that was a great start. "I smile. Let's start with groups of sub holds..perhaps some back weakeners, and holds to use with back weakening moves?"

13:45 The_Traveler: "Sounds good Adam! I could really add a lot more of that to my aresnal" I say while putting my hands on my hips. "Just don't break my back," I chuckle out

23:56 Adam_Reigns: OK Jackson, let's try some holds on you - we'll do each one- you can see how it feels to be in it, then try them out on me yourself. BAckbreakers....WHere do you want to begin?

01:28 The_Traveler: I look down in contemplation... "Let's work out way up, start with the hold you think is easiest to apply!" I say looking up at you

12:03 Adam_Reigns: "Ok, so I suppose the easiest, but for me one of the hottest moves Jackson, is the OTK- Over-the-Knee backbreaker. Give your back a stretch out bedore we start!" I say smiling at you. Then as you're standing next to me, i bend down in front of you and wrap my arms round your waist. Place my hand on the back of your thigh and lift you up almost horizontal..then I drop to a knee and SLAM your spine back down across it. That gets you nice and sprawled out over my knee, your whole body vulnerable

15:32 The_Traveler: I nod as you tell me about the OTK, and then all of a sudden you wrap your arms around my waist and then SLAM my spine down on your knee! "AGHHHHH" I scream out. "Pretty easy hold, and painful– AGHHHHHHH!!" I scream more. I can feel at the same time my buldge swelling ... Damn....

23:27 Adam_Reigns: "Yes so how does that feel then Jackson? I can press down on your neck and your thighs to stretch you a bit more...and also do a little choking...like this!", I viciously press down bending your spine back as far as I can..."Occasionally I might bring up an arm and slam some elbows intot your abs...like this! Or even claw your abs..like this! - Tell me how's it feel?"

23:34 The_Traveler: "urghhh, AHHHH AGHHHH AHHHHHH!!!!" I scream out as you demonstrate what you can do. "It... It hurts Adam," I strain out

23:36 Adam_Reigns: "Yeh with some weakeners beforehand ..this can get a submsiion..and of course the bod is all stretched out to work on!" I playfully tap your swelling bulge as I roll you off my knee onto the canvas and pull you up to standing..."You want to see it again? Or try it on me?"

23:39 The_Traveler: You slide me off your knee and I hit the canvas. I grip my back for a second, and then take your hand. "I think I got it!" I let out while I stand. "Let me try it on you?" I ask

23:40 Adam_Reigns: "Of course- go for it!"

23:42 The_Traveler: I take a deep breath and then wrap one arm around your upper back and one arm between your legs. I scoop you up and then SLAM you on my right knee, placing one hand on your throat and another my other forearm across your thighs. I begin to bounce you. "Is this good Adam?" I ask

23:45 Adam_Reigns: "AGhh yeh that's it...the bounce is very er....effective too Jackson!" I say to cover up how much my spine is burning.."Feel free to punish me a bit with your elbows or hands..be inventive!"

23:48 The_Traveler: I form the hand that is on your neck like a claw around your throat, "heh, alright teach'" I let out. I bring my forearm up and elbow and pound each your thighs, and pound my way up your body. When I get to your abs I elbow them and then claw them. "How's that Adam?" I say slowly increasing the pressure of the claw around your throat and abs

23:52 Adam_Reigns: "Umpppf!" my body rocks as you pound your way up my body then lock in the claws. Once your arm is away from my thighs and the other arm is working the throat claw, i swing up one of my arms and start throwing fists hard and repetetively into your side .. making you jerk in pain with each blow, though the choke and claw combo has me red-faced and squirming

23:56 The_Traveler: I flex my torso to withstand more blows. "Urghhhhh" I let out and then I elbow your abs again before moving that forearm back to your thighs to stretch you out and hold your legs down. I begin reworking the claw on your throat and pushing down on your head to stretch that out too

00:00 Adam_Reigns: "Ummppf..that's it!"I stutuuer out throught the choke- "You got it!" I tap on your back leg asking you to release the hold.

00:01 The_Traveler: I feel you tap on my back and I smirk a little... My package has been getting harder this entire time, but I release the hold immediately and gently place you on the ground. As I get up, I offer my hand down at you to help you up. "so coach, how did I do?" I chuckle out

00:05 Adam_Reigns: "Ha yes - you learned that one fast!" I quip.

00:07 The_Traveler: "haha, thank you coach," I chuckle out. "Hope I didn't hurt ya too bad!" I continue to chuckle and even lightly tap your back with the back of my hand to tease you. "So, what's next, coach?"

00:10 Adam_Reigns: I quickly wrap my arm round your waist again and slam you back over my knee in the same hold....Stretching you right out..I then shift my arms to behind your knees and neck, scopp you up and then SLAM you back down agin into the backbreaker hold..then roll you off onto the canvas! "That's good weakener to use once you have the guy in the hold..you can do it multiple times if he's not too big!"

00:11 The_Traveler: "AGHHHHH!!" I scream out as you slam me twice on your knee and stretch me out a bit before you roll me onto the canvas. "Damn Adam, you're quite the punisher!" I let out while arching my back and rocking back and forth on the canvas a little

00:12 Adam_Reigns: "It helps you remember the hold" I smile mischieviously

00:14 The_Traveler: I look up and see you smirk. "Quite the schemer too I see..." I then send a surprising sweep to your legs to send you to the canvas on your back. Once you're on the ground I scoop you up and slam you on my knees, then pick you up and slam you down on my knees again before wrapping a claw on your throat and placing my other hand on your outer thigh. "Like this Adam?" I let out

22:17 Adam_Reigns: I let out a growl as you unexpectedly slam me over your knee again and stretch me out on a much more severe position than our last practice...squirming and a little humiliated by your "playfulness"......."YES! Jax that's it!" I stuttuer out as your fingers are choking me..."I think you get an A Star for this one....You can let me go anytime you like now!"

00:11 The_Traveler: "well Adam! Even I know the rules of a submission," I wrench the hold even tighter, just a bit so you can feel a twinge of panic, "if you want me to let go you're gonna have to tap!" I bend you back a little more

00:13 Adam_Reigns: "Grrrr" I over emphasize a tap to your knee .."Ok Jax I give!"

00:15 The_Traveler: "ah, good!" I let out and then I immediately take my hands off your throat and thigh and bring my arms around you to set you down gently on the mat. I fully kneel beside you. "Well that was fun, Adam!" I grin at you, "hope I didn't hurt you man!"

00:17 Adam_Reigns: "Well not at all..." I grimace..."Really to get full OTK impact it's best to work on the back some first..." I stand and offer my hand to pull you up to standing.

00:18 The_Traveler: "yeah, well I know how to work a back through good strikes, but maybe you can teach me other good wear-down submissions to really get the back... Tender" I say with a sincere and small smile while taking your hand so I can stand

00:24 Adam_Reigns: As I pull you up with my hand I duck slightly and pull myself under your arm, grab your thighs and quickly hoist you onto my shoulders into a rack! "This is effective as a finishing sub if you've done enough spine work before hand or as a real weakener to work towards that killer sub.." I walk round the ring with you over my shoulders...and show you yourself in the gym wall mirror.."See the position? How does that feel eh? Of course I can bounce you a little bit up there aswell as choke you out!" I bounce you as your limbs flail.

00:25 The_Traveler: "oh, WOAH!" I let out as you hoist me on your shoulders. "Yeah, I've seen this before," I begin panting, "doesn't feel great! AHHHHH!!!" I let out as you bounce me

00:27 Adam_Reigns: "Yeh and it's easy to do more damage to your spine when I slam you down from this!" I swing your body round catching you legs then slam you on your back crashing down to the canvas

00:28 The_Traveler: "wait, Adam, wait– AGHHHHHHH!!" I scream out as you slam my back down on the canvas. I roll around and wince in pain, coughing here and there, like the air just left my lungs

00:30 Adam_Reigns: "Of course it's harder to do that with bigger guys.. but I 've surprised a couple of real big guys with a rack who didn't expect me to be able to get them in it.. and wow they fall back heavy!" I smile as I watch you pick yourself up from the canvas rubbing your back with both hands

00:32 The_Traveler: I get to one knee and eventually in a doubled over position. I walk around holding my back and breathe deep to collect my thoughts. "So is... This the next move I should try?" I ask between breaths

00:35 Adam_Reigns: "Yes Jax, but recover a little first- don't want to damage your back more trying it out!" I laugh

00:40 The_Traveler: "ha ha very funny, even if there's a hint of sincerity in your concern" I chuckle back. I take a few deep breaths to focus and recuperate, and then quickly sprint at you and then get to my knees to slide behind you. When I get behind you, I get to my feet and send a little kick to the back of your left knee to get you to buckle and then I bend down to try to spread your body across my shoulders, locking my right hand across your lower jaw and my left hand gripping tight to your right thigh. I swing us up so the lock is fully locked in and widen my stance a little and then begin walking you around, bouncing you on every fourth step. "How's this Adam?" I ask while very slowly bending your body with my grips

00:42 Adam_Reigns: I am amazed by how skillfully and swiftly you manipulate me into the rack.. and then the pain kicks in... "Ahh fu.....yeh that's ahh..that's it Jackson...." sweating up in your hold

00:45 The_Traveler: As I walk us around, I move to bounce you every second step now, making that second step extra thunderous. "How's the scale of pain? Wanna tap yet?" I ask as I bounce and stretch you with slow but increasing intensity

00:46 Adam_Reigns: "Agghh damn you got this good Jax! Yeh I'll tap!"

00:47 The_Traveler: "ah, good!" I let out and then I crash bounce you as I land on my knees and release my grip on you so you drop to the mats. "How was that for my first rack, Adam?" I ask while I turn to you and get to one knee and offer a hand down to you

00:47 Adam_Reigns: "Excellent! Just Excellent!" I grimace. I let you pull me up and straighten myself out, with a slight rub of my now quite painful back. "great then Jackson, let's keep working on things to really weaken the back and make it vulnerable to a big sub hold later!" I smile... "So if you get your opponent flat on his face to the canvas...." Taking you by surprise, I grab you again as for the OTK but this time slam you down to the canvas face down. "From here there are many options...easiest I suppose is this," I stomp my foot firmly between your shoulder blades, slightly lower, reach down and grab your arms, wrenching them upwards as my foot pressurizes your spine.. twisting your arms too as I heave and bend your torso off the canvas, curving your spine..."How's that feel?"

14:58 The_Traveler: I nod and watch you as you explain what to do. Then you pick me up and and slam me down onto the canvas and I cough out. Immediately after, you stomp on my back between my shoulder blades and then grab both my arms and stretch me back, your foot well planted on my back. "AHHHHHHHHHH!!" I scream out as you pull me back, curve my spine... I growl out, "HURTS LIKE HELL ADAM!"

15:38 Adam_Reigns: "Yeh it's a good one this one! "I say as I lean further back wrenching on your arms and cranking up your spine.."And what's better is you can transition this into a couple of killer subs! But let's not get ahead of ourselves" I adjust my balance a little really pushing my foot down as I stretch your arms and your legs...."Think you've got the idea of this one then Jackson?"

15:41 The_Traveler: "AHHHHHHH COACH ALRIGHT!!" I scream out as you crank up my spine. And then you balance yourself, really stomping into me, stretching and twisting my arms more. "YEAH.... I... I DEFINITELY GOT THE IDEA OF THIS ONE COACH!" I continue to shout out

15:42 Adam_Reigns: "Awesome!" I let go of the hold leaving you flat on your face on the canvas..."Stay like that for a while Jackson, give yourself a break....I can show you another awesome hold while you're down there! I stand up and move to your side, then I drop down at your side both knees landing on your spine...your bod jerks as I do.." From here I can just scoop up your neck ,pull your ankles up and wrap them together... And... ready Jackson? I roll back, and haul you up across my knees in a suspended bow and arrow!...Ready...here we go!!!" I stretch you over my knee, hand choking on your throat , spine bent and tortured again.

15:48 The_Traveler: As you sort of taunt me to stay where I am, I know something is coming, but I have to recover, I have no choice. You then bring both your knees on my spine, "AGHHH" I scream and then my body jerks upwards before falling flat. You then bring your hands around my throat and ankles , pulling me up in a suspended bow and arrow. "AHHHH!!!! A-Adam....." I scream and breathe out

15:49 Adam_Reigns: "Yeh this one is a killer I think!- Get submissions from this!" I shout over your scream.

15:52 The_Traveler: "I can... Definitely feel... How this can...." I pant out, "AHHHHH!.... Alright.. ADAM, I TAP!!" I say tapping on your knees

15:55 Adam_Reigns: I roll to one side and release you slamming you on your side to the canvas. Panting a bit myself too.." That one.." I say between panting..."Is best saved as a killer move when you've really worked your opponents spine to breaking point before...Its quite painful to hold you up there for a long time!"

15:58 The_Traveler: I roll around on the mats, clutching my back. "You've definitely... Worked my back... Quite a bit...." I pant, "was it... Actually... Straining you too?" I ask

19:12 Adam_Reigns: "Well yes it does some- It's difficult to keep it going too long.. though nothing compared to the next one we'll try...either for me keeping the hold on or for the amount of pressure or er,, pain you're put in!"

19:23 The_Traveler: I slowly roll onto one knee, before slowly rising to my feet again, taking deep breaths. "Alright, what's next Adam?" I look to you, hoping I can withstand what's next

23:38 Adam_Reigns: "Yes next we're going to try a real demon of a sub- Are you sure you don't want to rest your spine a little first Jackson?" I smile.

02:02 The_Traveler: I look at you and your smile unsettles me. I continue panting, my heart begins to pound again, I try to calm my breathing, close my eyes, and then open my eyes. "I'm sure... I'm okay, coach, I can handle it," I say and look straight at you in your eyes full of determination.

10:14 Adam_Reigns: "great so wee need to get you face down to the floor again..." I quickly repeat lifting you and slamming you down..."This time I grab your feet from behind, then I put my feet behind each knee and lock your legs bent around my thighs.. I reach forward and grab your wrists ... if you stretch them away from me..I can jab you hard in the side to get you to move them nearer. Once I got your wrists- like this! I wrench back on your arms...start rocking you arched back and forth and then roll right back onto my back as I haul you up in the aire in a suspended Mexican surfboard!!!! Man this is a killer." I quickly execute the whole move on you..you are stretched out suspended in the air. "Tell me, how is that for you Jackson?"

13:36 The_Traveler: You slam me on the ground repeatedly again. Vulnerable, you place your feet on the back of my thighs, then you strike me in my sides to get my arms up, which you grab my wrists and rock us forward and back until you pull me up and suspend me in mid-air in the Mexican surfboard! "AHHHHHHH!!! FUCK!!!" I scream out in pain

14:50 Adam_Reigns: "Yeah! I know Jackson! How you doing up there?"

15:29 The_Traveler: "HURTING ADAM! AHHHHHHHH" I continue to scream out.

16:02 Adam_Reigns: "Yes! I can only imagine...You want to give?"

16:08 The_Traveler: "MMMM-RGHHHHHHH!!!" I let out. I grit my teeth, and growl out, "no, I won't give!"

00:37 Adam_Reigns: "Damn Jackson..I would give if I were you...I KNOW this one is excrutiating!" I lean back as far as I can, confident I can keep you trapped in this long enough to break

00:38 The_Traveler: "URGHHHHHH.... I will not!!" Suddenly my body very softly emits this subtle green light

00:39 Adam_Reigns: "What the fuck is this, Jackson?"

00:40 The_Traveler: As the light emits from my body, you can feel as heat also generates from my entire body. It burns your hands a little. "AGHHHHHHHH!!!" I scream out, and the green light shines brighter as I'm suspended in the hold

00:42 Adam_Reigns: I feel you getting hotter as you suffer in the hold...can feel the heat on my hands...I swing to the side letting go of you and slamming you once again on your side to the canvas..."What was that man?" I asked looking down at you.

00:44 The_Traveler: You slam me to the side on the canvas, "URGHH!" The light begins to shrink and fade back into my body. I breath heavily, shrinking up my body. I roll onto my back, look up to you slowly. "I... I don't know for sure Adam." I reply softly and strained

00:45 Adam_Reigns: "Man you were getting hotter...did you feel that too?"

00:47 The_Traveler: I slowly roll up and get back on my feet pretty fast, as if I have no more pain. "... I... I uh, to be honest, couldn't feel anything once I felt something other than my heart pulsing in me. I could see the light through my eyelids as I was wincing in pain from the hold, but after it glowed more intensely, I physically couldn't feel anything until you dropped me from the hold," I reply with a little more solidness, but also a hint of confusion, in my tone

00:50 Adam_Reigns: "Damn it may be a sign sub holds aren't for you Jackson...I mean if you keep suffering and keep getting hotter, maybe it could get so intense you might spontaneously combust or something! And I never heard of anyone using burning as a counter so a sub hold!" I step back and look you over, still astounded by what just happened.

00:52 The_Traveler: I look at you as a shocked expression sort of solidifies on your face. "I didn't mean for it to happen. I didn't even know it could happen... Look, Adam, if you're still willing to train me in sub holds... I need the training," I say looking in your eyes with determination

00:56 Adam_Reigns: "Yeh we can keep going, but I'd also say if that thing keeps happening to you, you need to do something about it. I would recommend 2 things: One: keep it a secret....opponents won't like knowing about it.. well some might see it as a challenge, others will just be freaked out, and Two: you need to seek out a trainer, to train you to control whatever it is when or if you find out yourself what it is! I know I made you suffer in our training but I am saying these things as a responsible coach."

00:59 The_Traveler: I look at you, and I take a deep breath. "I know Adam.. especially that second suggestion. It's been... Mysterious. And I want to get this under control. Look, if you know any mystics in your area, feel free to point me to them after our session wraps up for the day, okay? I'll just tap more responsibly when something hurts... Maybe that will prevent me from having another outburst."

01:01 Adam_Reigns: "Or perhaps we should try to push it to its limits, and mine and your limits...though I don't think I can wrestle in asbestos gloves. We might know what you're dealing with then.... By the way has this happened before?"

01:04 The_Traveler: "My... Whatever this is, has acted on its own before, but never during a training or sparring session... It has never acted out during a combat situation... This is new. Look Adam, I appreciate you wanting to find out more about this, whatever it is, but in this situation, I don't want to risk you actually getting hurt worse than the burns you may have already begun to feel."

01:06 Adam_Reigns: "Well I know about it now, and I have to say your the oddest trainee I've ever had...Its piqued my interest so I'm willing to risk a bit more! Let's get on with some training when we're a bit rested!

01:07 The_Traveler: "alright then Adam. Should we hit the showers then, open training up tomorrow maybe with a spar?" I put my hands on my hips

01:07 Adam_Reigns: "Yes for sure- bright and early tomorrow Jax!"

01:08 The_Traveler: "sir yes sir!" I say saluting you.

01:09 Adam_Reigns: "You go shower , I'll not be far behind..and see you tomorrow!"

01:13 The_Traveler: "see you tomorrow coach!" I say and do a standing bow to you before heading off to the showers. As I finish showering, I yell out, "have a good night Adam!" And I put on some clothes and head back to my hotel room to decompress for the night.

01:14 Adam_Reigns: After you've left I shake my head as I turn off the gym hall lights, wondering what I've got myself into....And wondering if I in fact do know any local mystics!

Nikki I totally agree with you. There is something so enthralling about these adventures The Traveler is involved in and this latest one was no exception living up to expectations as he now moves to Spain

Adam Reigns added to the enjoyment too in a totally intriguing story. Kudos to you both for this and I hope we see more I am totally hooked! This gives HOTSHOTS a different dimension too!
