STAR TREK ©️ the legacy of lagos station. Ch 1.

Starring

Lieutenant Alexa Freeman stood at the helm of the USS Kar’Valiant, watching as the distant lights of Lygos Station flickered weakly against the void of space. The station had been abandoned for years, its once-vibrant halls now a quiet tomb. Alexa had been assigned to guard it for the next three weeks while the Federation evaluated whether it could be salvaged or should be decommissioned.

She was used to solitude. As the only security officer aboard the kar'Valiant, her job often led her to lonely assignments. Yet, Lygos Station felt different. There was an unease in the air, a strange whisper in her mind that set her teeth on edge. Still, Alexa, with her fiery Italian spirit and disciplined nature, dismissed it as nothing more than her imagination. She had more important things to focus on—like her assignment.

Alexa was a striking woman, a compact beauty whose eyes had a sharpness to them that few could ignore. Her physique was a perfect blend of strength and sensuality, a result of years spent in rigorous training and her natural, captivating presence. She had worked hard to get to her position, and the small, quiet station would be no different.
Her boots echoed across the cold metal floors as she made her way to the central command deck of the abandoned station.

The faint hum of the power systems was the only sound, the station’s systems limping along despite its age. Alexa tapped her comm badge.
"Lieutenant Freeman to Kar'Valiant," she spoke crisply, "Lygos Station secured. No signs of life. Proceeding with inspection."
"Understood, Lieutenant," came the static-laced voice of the Kar"Valiant’s officer in charge. "Report back in six hours."

Alexa nodded, then turned toward the darkened hallway ahead. Her pulse quickened for reasons she couldn't quite place. The station had been a hub of research and diplomacy years ago, until its sudden abandonment. Nobody knew why—just that communications had stopped, and the Federation had moved on. But the rumors… those were what bothered her.
She wasn’t one to indulge in ghost stories or superstitions, but as she ventured deeper into the station’s heart, something felt off. Her breath came in shallow bursts as she entered a long, dimly-lit corridor. The walls seemed to press in around her, the shadows too deep, the silence too heavy.
That’s when she first felt it.

A presence.

Alexa’s hand instinctively went to the phaser at her hip, but there was no sign of movement—no intruder. Her mind tried to dismiss it, but the sensation persisted, like a pressure against her thoughts, a strange hum against the edges of her consciousness.

The security officer walked cautiously forward, her senses alert. And then, as though summoned by her thoughts, the figure appeared.

A tall, gaunt alien, with pale skin and large, black eyes, stood before her in the middle of the hallway. His body was almost translucent, his features sharp and unsettling. A humanoid form, but something about him seemed… wrong.

As she watched his features changed his skin taking on a pinkish colour and his form filling out until he appeared almost human.

The moment she laid eyes on him, a strange compulsion washed over her, a pull, a magnetic force that seemed to distort the air itself.
"Who are you?" Alexa demanded, her voice firm despite the sudden wave of dizziness crashing over her.

The alien’s lips curled into a smile, though his eyes remained unreadable. "I am someone who has been waiting," he said softly, his voice a melodic hum that seemed to vibrate in her bones.

Alexa’s hand trembled on her phaser, but her body refused to obey her. She couldn’t look away from the alien, even as the thoughts in her mind swirled into a haze. His words wrapped around her, gentle yet insistent. "You are… beautiful. Strong. I can see it. You can feel it, too, can’t you?"

She opened her mouth to respond, but the words didn’t come. Her thoughts were slowing, a fog creeping into her mind. The alien's voice was soothing, sweet, like a lullaby, and Alexa's entire body seemed to thrum with something dark and alien. Her heartbeat quickened, then slowed, the pulse now something out of her control.

"What… are you doing to me?" Alexa managed to gasp, struggling to maintain control. Her body seemed to weaken, her arms hanging at her sides.
"I am awakening what you already are, Lieutenant," the alien murmured, his voice growing louder in her mind. "Your mind, your body, they are mine to shape. To mold."

Alexa fought to resist, her senses screaming for control, but the alien's mental influence was too strong. The pull in her thoughts grew unbearable, and she staggered, her knees buckling beneath her. She couldn’t move. She couldn’t think. Only his voice remained, soothing her, guiding her deeper.
"You are mine now, Alexa Freeman ," the alien whispered. "You belong to me."

Her mind cracked like fragile glass. And in that moment, she was his. His will became hers. His desires, his thoughts, began to fill her. Alexa could no longer remember who she was. She only knew what he commanded. She was nothing more than an instrument for his whims.

When Alexa awoke, it was in a darkened chamber. She was no longer in control of her body; every movement was a response to the alien's commands. She felt an aching emptiness in her chest, as though she were a marionette with no strings, yet trapped by a force that kept her bound to him.
"You will remain here, in service to me," the alien told her. "You will guard this station with unwavering loyalty, and you will make sure no one disturbs our peace."
Alexa nodded, her eyes glazed, a faint smile curling at her lips.

She was no longer the confident, fierce officer she once was. She was now only his—his servant, his slave. Every thought was clouded, every instinct stifled, as his control tightened around her mind.
The station, once abandoned, was now a place of eerie silence, its halls haunted not by ghosts, but by the hypnotic whispers of a creature whose power had consumed a once-proud security officer.

And Alexa Freeman, once a woman of strength and will, was now bound by the alien’s will,

trapped within the cold, dark walls of Lygos Station.
