Superhero Proving Grounds

Evil runs this world. Demons, phantoms, monsters, nightmares beyond human understanding. They roam the street with impunity, terrorizing the populace for nothing more than sadistic entertainment. The police are useless, and it seems the heroes are too busy taking on muggers and bank robbers instead, enjoying their fame and glory whilst looking the other way when real evil rears up. It's been the state of things for as long as anyone has known. But it ends now. Armed with my peak physical form, advanced hand to hand and firearms training, an entire arsenal of weapons mundane and otherwise, and secret knowledges acquired from brokers in other realms, I have taken on the moniker of "Night Stalker" and I will enact the pending vengeance of so many victims upon the darkness.

To destroy your enemy, you must first understand it. And so I travel through the deepest Hells trading, stealing, and killing for forbidden tomes, barely whispered secrets, and otherworldly weapons. I won't hide behind the black and white thinking of most heroes, and wouldn't hesitate to take one down if they stood between me and my vengeance.

So if you are of the darkness, a malevolent being who hunts the innocent, or anyone who would stand between me and them... you should start running now.
