I've had 2 or 3 users reach out to me from various characters repetitively despite being met with rejection, this is frustrating and I can't help but wonder if it's them again whenever a new profile messages me.
Can we implement a way that entirely blocks all communication from a user if you block just one character of their own? I think this is logical right?
This is already in place. If the same person is contacting you after you've blocked them, then they're using different accounts (different email address, different login data). I don't think the Tech can do anything about that.
Yus that's how it works, if ya block one character it blocks the whole account. I've had to deal with this too. Ya gotta report it via the help/support ticket system. Be prepared cuz the first report or two is just gonna get them a warning and that'll probs piss them off into stepping up the harassment - that's what happened with me, ya just gotta report that too until they get suspended/banned and have to make another account and start over again. Best to just screenshot, block, and report if someone's using alts to mess with ya.
There's also another workaround you have to be careful about that I had someone use on me. If you block one of their alt accounts and not their main, while it still blocks all their characters...if the delete the alternate account that you had blocked, it removes all the blocks, and they can contact you again on any characters or alts they have once again. If you manage to catch the main account and block, then they'd be forced to delete and create an entire new account, but if you only catch an alt, if they delete the alt, all gates are back open.
I learned this when I blocked one account that was being really pushy. All of a sudden another account that I had been chatting with was also blocked. I checked in, by unblocking, and the other was unblocked as well, so I knew it was the same person. After verifying, blocked again. A couple days later, the alt account that I had blocked, was deleted, and the other account tied to it was suddenly unblocked.
Honestly, have you considered letting the tech or admin know? I have a guy stalking me, and I recognised his writing style. I never realised how he was contacting me through so many accounts.
Also... just my two cents, maybe consider sending this to the OP as a DM instead of a public forum. Obviously your decision but some people may just see this as an idea.
