What kind of explanation is THAT?
I also wrote that many people abuse the tag system but going from using ALL to using less than 50% is senseless! Don't we have enough restrictions in our everyday life right now???

Going from 12 to 15 doesn't change anything...
I noticed I missed in the last update to explain the reason why certain limits got introduced.
I fully understand that limiting something that was not limited before is creating some negative responses.
The reason to limit it is very thought out. - Although the exact number might be balanced and will be fine-tuned.
The number that was chosen based on a Database query, including the "average," "median," and "gut feeling."
About limiting the active Characters: Flooding the Chat with over 15 of your characters gives a wrong impression and frustrates other members if they are ignored continuously when reaching out to someone but always reaching out to the same person.
15 Characters is a relatively high limit to handle at the same time. And you don't need to leave the Chat to activate more.
This process takes 5-10 seconds. :)
Workaround: create another account, and you have again 15 characters. About limiting the keywords I got frustrated when searching for certain types of stories or Characters, to realize that someone selected everything he thinks he likes to find out after a bunch of lines chatting that he is not into that and wants only a basic match.
The intention, and the reason I created the keywords system, was not to select what you like, but what you LOVE and be passionate about.
If you compare it to food, currently, keywords are used to let people know what kind of food you like.
But the intention was to find out what your favorite food is. Food that tastes like everything actually tastes like nothing.
If I search for a keyword like "Gutpunching," I would like that the Chat is mainly focused on it, and not that somewhere in line 50 out of 1000, there was ONE punch in the gut.
This is just an example, but you get the idea.
Limiting the keywords means avoiding characters and stories that are 'spammed' with keywords, which reduces the usefulness of filters and searches.
Yes, you need to think about it and make a choice! :)
Moving forward
Short term:
Bumping the limit to 15 keywords to ease the current pressure and frustration
In the long term:
a new system will be implemented to let you chose a 'main keyword' plus additional optional keywords.
And remember, you do have a Character introduction the add as much additional text as you wish.

- Open your settings in a 2nd browser tab
- Disable a character you don't need right now.
- Activate the character you want.
- Reload the Chat with F5
