I'm not sure if I'm being extremely thick - but how do you delete a story? I'm searching everywhere for a delete button but I can't see it, whether I'm viewing or editing the story. Thanks.

Deleting a story is not possible yet.
You can set it to private what has an similar effect.
If you send me the link I can delete it for you.

Question, is anyone getting a "this file seems to be missing" error when they try to upload a new pic?

I just figured this out. Go to manage photos to upload your pics it seems to get around the problem of trying to do it in the character editor page

A couple of days ago, I started editing a fight story, labeled it private, with the intent of sending it to my opponent for their approval at a later date. But when I went back to review and do further edits, there was no longer an option to add another character. So I had to redo and then add the opponent. Could this be changed, so that you can save something to yourself, and then add someone later? Secondly, I would like to delete the story that is held privately, but there is no option to delete private stories (just a house keeping issue on my part). I agree there should be no option to delete published stories, at least unless all character approve the deletion,

I fully agree with you.
The story management system will get all these features in one of the next updates.
But for now, you have to recreate a story (copy&paste) the text to a new story and add the members there.
You can send me in a private message the link to a story you like to have removed.

In the future everyone who is part of a story can delete a story - no questions asked.
- for data privacy laws, deleting your own data can't require any approval. (At least that way it is much easier to handle on my side.)

Private rooms store the stories for 30 days, yet when I go to download the story in Stories, it only downloads the last 24 hours or so. So I have to cut and paste the first parts of the story into the story box. Real bummer. Can this be fixed please?

Sure, please tell me the exact amount of hours/days to go back when you load the transcript. Where everyone on this site would be happy with.
If we always load 30 days it will very soon too much and useless as you need to delete most of the text all the time.

I'm happy to change this, but I this is one of the cases where no right answer exists.

4 days is better, as fights sometimes can go on for a while due to peoples schedules and time zone differences. Thanks

There a lot of ways of doing, easy way is by copy and paste.

Why can't one load pictures directly from my hard drive to chats? seems to create alot of unnecessary storage... ending up duplicating pic files on this site... not real cost effective... unless storage for pics is not an issue... but it also creates extra steps.

How do I get multiple pics to display on my profile page? I uploaded multiple pictures when I created my profile, but I'm only seeing one on my profile. All of the photos are set to public.

Nevermind. I figured out I had to move them to the character's folder.

Question about private rooms...WHen you provide an option so that when you invite someone into a private room that they are allowed to return if they logout, and don't require a second invite? not allowing people to come and go after they are invited makes it difficult to have a fight over an extended period of time.

This is already the case.
If they logout by just closing the browser they will log in automatically into the private room.

But if they leave the private room (closing the x of the Room) they get a warning (telling them that they leave a private room), and if they confirm the warning they need to be invited again. (--> Don't confirm every warning without reading it ;) )

Quick question about relationships:
On my profile, I see both sides of the relationship, for example:
Cyber Villain is FRIEND of The Tech
The Tech is FRIEND of Cyber Villain

To avoid the duplications, if I delete the first one (Cyber Villain is FRIEND of The Tech), does it delete the entire relationships?

Yes that is correct. If you remove one, it deletes it in both directions.

Also, in a future update, these duplications will be clean up. So only one relationship entry will be visible.

Can we use the ignore instead of blocking , when chatting in the chat room.?

No. this is currently not possible.

Is the ability to insert photos from our photo files into mail messages not available any more? I think I remember being able to do that earlier ...

The button for that got removed as it was never working on ChatFighter.
It was a part from MeetFighter message system.
The message system will be rewritten next year, inc. the ability for attaching pictures.

May I propose a suggestion, I noticed on Microsoft Edge that when talking on the chat, when you have a new message, the number is over where the X would be and I end up often closing the tabs for private messages. Is there anyway for the new message notification to either be on the left of the user name or for the x to be further away from where the new message notification.

Hey chief, I had a question - I had a match today with "Vice master" or "Vicemaster" and can not pull the file for the interaction so I can post - not sure what I'm doing wrong. The character does not seem to be on chatfighters any more.

Is there a way to add another "character" to a story once it's saved?
I thought I had properly added someone to a story, but they aren't showing up and can't see it while it's set to private.

Currently, you can't add another character after the story is saved.
As a workaround, you can create a new story and copy and paste the existing story-text. And add him to the new story.

This is on the list together with the delete function of stories.

They are simply not good pictures.

Would it be possible to have a "Do Not Disturb" or "Occupied" status in the chatroom? Something we can set to let the others know that we're occupied in a match or something? I think that would be really cool!

You could leave the #lobby (closing it) then nobody sees you anymore.
Over the room list, you can join the #lobby again at any time.

Hey, I have a problem with my picture. The same picture I have chosen in my profile doesn't show up in the chat, is there something I need to do to make it work?

This is because of chacing issues with your browser.
Hard-Reload with ctrl+F5 while you are in the chat. Maybe you have to press another key too, google for "Hard reload" and your browser name.

I have a suggestion. The different proposed tags and fetishes should have an explanation pop up so everyone have the same interpretation for them.

Did all guys you added to the story approve it? and allowed it to be published?
Sometimes people approve the story, but also select 'keep private' as long as one character selected 'keep private' the story will not be published.

What is the link to the story? - Then I can check the status for you.

Just a suggestion: Would it improve usability to have profiles open in a new tab, rather than on top of the last opened profile?

Would it? I'm not sure but open to suggestions.
The problem I see is with mobile devices, were you end up with having 100 tabs open then.
As people tend to not close tabs on mobile devices.

Lets be honest, this sound like fetlife.

Great site ... just an idea, you have a dedicated location for "stories" and "books" ... what about something just like the stories channel, but for bout logs? I'm on another cyber-fight site that has a channel devoted to keeping logs of bouts in a library, and it's got more than 100 logs in there now. It's a popular place for people to go and read other people's fights ... or their own. Just something maybe worth taking a look at ...

But that is our story page, people do upload they fights and chat transcripts there.
If I missunderstand you you can send me a link to the other site and I can have a look what you mean exactly.

It's not a major issue. Since I'm a writer, I probably look at it differently. I see "stories" and "books" as one person's creation, whether it be fiction or an account or description of a bout. I see "bout logs" as the actual transcript involving two (or occasionally more) people's actual "live" exchange of posts. Again, nothing major, it just seems that it's two very different things. But that's just one person's opinion and it's probably more complex than just adding another channel.

Why you don't add a way to understand if a character is on line or off line i never understand if my opponents are on or off...

Not as easy as you think, as a logged-in account can have more than one character attached.
Should they all at once be online?
Not as simple as on meetfighters, were one login = one account.
And on meetfighter we have the problem with mobile devices, some mobile browser keeps the browser tab active for a few hours up to half a day. And the online indicator is less useful then.

As you see, there are some options and design decisions to be made and there are more important features in my opinion (group functions). But I'm happy to change my opinion if more people want these features, but then please suggest how to handle multiple characters.

Also, I don't see the benefit, at the moment we mainly have the Chat.
You can quickly jump in the chat and see who is active.

Interesting site. I’m starting to play and explore. But a question, is there anyway to download another character’s picture? You can’t see the picture with all the stats overplayed upon it. Hard to size up the opponent.

Zooming pictures works now always.

Not yet.
Currently, this only works when the character has more than one picture.
(Then the picture slider appears were you can full screen the single pics)

After editing the avatar picture originally set during character creation, the avatar shown in Chat may only reflect the original instead of the update. I noticed this on an alt where I switched the pic to a newer one made available after I made the character. It's only happening on a secondary; for the primary character, the update was successfully reflected in Chat.

This is because of browser caching.
You can reload the chat - while you are in the chat with "shift+F5" or after 12-24h it will clear the cache itself and updates the picture.

Hi, everytime I try and load somebody's profile I instead see the guy with red background doing a "timeout" gesture. I thought this was for deleted profiles but it's doing it for people that are still active 😊

Never mind! It displays weirdly on phones and I found the "proceed" button
