Yes, we have an optional reason "why leave CF," but most leave it blank.. and the same might happen to your fed reason, as already mentioned below.
If a fed admin wants to share the reason, they can always send you a message. But honestly, a lot of times, members don’t even bother to read the rules or understand what the fed is about before they apply. So, it doesn’t really make sense to force admins to give a reason when some folks aren’t even paying attention to the basics.
Of course, not everyone is like that; plenty of people do read the rules. But just keep in mind that no one is obligated to explain why they don’t want to interact with someone. You don’t automatically have a right to an answer.
Yes, technically it wouldn’t be a big deal to add a reason, but again, if a fed admin wants to let you know, they can reach out to you even without that 'feature'.
Communication goes both ways; you know who the fed admin is (at least one of them is always visible), and you can drop them a message, too.
Part of what you need to realize, is that even if they implement something like that, you won't necessarily get what you're asking for anyway. If it's a box that says "Let them know why you're rejecting" it could just be left blank. Or they can just write one word..or just leave you in limbo and not accept or reject. I don't see a problem with not giving a reason.
That may be true, but the reasons are certainly more diverse. It was also just a suggestion from me to promote the trust of some members in CF here. It doesn't work that way and is not satisfactory for the person concerned. Nevertheless, it wouldn't hurt to add an additional function. It can't be such a big effort. After all, the CF system also asks you why you decided to leave CF before you confirm your deletion and then you shouldn't be surprised if the admin tells the truth about your disappointment.
The justification is that the owner/administratior doesn't think you would be a good fit, whatever the reason. I limit males, because they would over-run my feds. Simple as that, strictly business and ratios.
For example, if I'm curious about a federation and want to join, so I click on "Apply to join", then I always try to write as original or funny an "application" as possible. If I am told that my application to join the federation has been rejected, it would be very helpful to know the reason for the rejection. It shouldn't be too much of a technical hurdle to create an additional button or function for this, should it? I would consider this to be much more transparent and also more human-friendly than if you were simply "slapped in the face" with the blank rejection, as the German expression goes. Otherwise you really have to feel like a nobody.
