Haha, of course. The API is great, much easier to work with than on f-list. Hop in and make a bot :P

Mine are already up and running, but you probably saw them already, in #titan room

Hello Wrrecksler,

In brief: Absolutely! Let's discuss privately and establish a path forward in our collaboration.

Detailed response:

  1. Your proposal indeed seems feasible.
  2. Our chat system is built around APIs and WebSockets, having been designed with an open API approach from its inception. With companies like OpenAI spearheading advancements in natural language processing, the timing couldn't be better for us to open up our internal API for chatbots.

We would require bots to be clearly marked as such and, initially, they wouldn't be allowed to initiate conversations. Users would need to start the dialogue. This may change in the future, especially for Federation-specific bots, and usage limits would be implemented. The evolution of this will be observed closely.

So, if you're excited about exploring our largely undocumented API (GPT might be able to create a first docu for you :D ) and experimenting with it, we would be more than happy to support you and greatly value your insights as a seasoned bot developer.

Please share more details about your specific requirements and ideas so we can create something truly impressive together.

Please note: As this would be an experimental feature, it's subject to changes or even cancellation. Nevertheless, your contributions will undoubtedly be instrumental in shaping its development.

To dive deeper and discuss specifics, please click here to start a new support ticket. This way, we can keep our conversation out of the public forum for now.

Looking forward to our collaboration.

Best,
The Tech

Hello!

I'm a bit of a developer myself, and I've been running some chatbots for other websites and discord, including a bot based around fighting roleplays like this one: https://ufl.undertow.club

So I'm interested in 2 things:

1. Website API to be able to, for example, backup my stories locally.
2. Chat API to be able to make bots that could offer new experiences ranging from different game modes to AI based roleplay games.

I know many such places frown upon bots that pretend to be real people, but if you were to offer official support for bots it would be like on Discord - bots could be obviously marked with a BOT tag. Another concern with bots is server load, but it could also be controlled through rate limits.

So my questions are: What's your stance on this? Are there any plans on adding such APIs?
