People will not be able to understand the history of Natsuki without understanding the history of her family

Kensen

A single name. The name of an ancient family, a powerful one. One that not only has a long and rich history, but also one that has a lot of influence in Japan, and recently as humanity enters the contemporary era, the world.

The Kensen clan

The clan and family behind the military and R&D company known as The KS Technologies & Arms Corporation, K-Tech in short. A know and large company in Japan, but probably not familiar for many in the world. However, despite their low profile outside the country, the company is an international giant with a lot of influence. Owners of multiple R&D companies, arms manufacturers, research institutions, electronic and hardware manufacturers, heavy naval and aircraft industries and even owners of one of the worlds top aerospace companies, K-Tech is a very powerful company with a lot of influence around the world, Japan been their main HQ and where they are LAW.

However, despite been one of the most modern and sophisticated companies, the family that controls and owns the company itself is quite traditional and connected to the mystical. The Kensen was previously a clan with a lot of political power even before modern times. What made their clan so powerful at the time was their strong family line of warriors and monks connected to spirits. Spirits that are connected to nature, giving the clan an important role on the religious and spiritual affaires of the country. On times of conflict of war, their skilled generals and warriors gave them even more influence while allowing the clan to survive during turbulent times. But it is argued that their greatest strength came from the clan’s ability to adapt to the changing times as the world entered a period of modernity and innovation while remaining connected to their roots.

As a large family, the Kensen have a main family branch as the leading family and owners of KS Technologies & Arms Corporation, while the other branches of the family lead and help on various sector of the large corporation. This means a more organized and cohesive company, that has greatness as their primary goal. Our heroine Natsuki was born on the main branch, lead by her father, Kensen Kanji, also known as General Kensen.

Unfortunately, she was born second and as a woman. Even worst, her mother dies from childbirth complications. Natsuki’s big brother, Kensen Kenji, was born first as the first child, thus making him heir. Kenji, even at an early age, was seen as an intelligence child with a big heart. He was charismatic and respected, making him the perfect candidate for the family. He was seen as the future of the family, the one that will guide it into greatness. Been a second child and a woman, little was expected of Natsuki. Well, if the Kensen felt that they were lucky to have Kenji, they will soon feel as having won the lottery with Natsuki.

You see, despite the times, the Kensen clan can still connect with the spirits of nature. Some of them, mainly on the branch or extensive side of the family, are monks or warriors dedicated to the mysteries and mystical arts. Thus, even with technology, spirits are important in the family. The birth of the second child and first daughter of the main family sent shock waves through the clan. For Natsuki was not only a prodigy, both as a warrior and intellectual, but it was soon discovered that her spirit was a Kitsune with the potential to reach nine tails. In other words, a divine spirit. The monks and researchers of the company did not take long to study her case. The entire clan praised her existence as the ultimate sign that the Kensen clan and family was destined for greatness, an opinion shared by Natsuki at the time. Thus, her first and one of her most famous titles….

The Blessed One

As she grown up, Natsuki did her best to contribute to the Kensen clan. She practiced a lot the art of the sword starting early on her childhood. Her skills as a prodigy only made her skills more notable. Yet, it was not enough for the Kensen clan, nor Natsuki. As a child, due to her potential value as an asset and her unique circumstance, the K-Tech corporation with the help of the recently founded, but rapidly growing, organization known as EVO, choose Natsuki as a candidate along with other children for a superhuman program known as Project Genesis. A program proposed and initiated by EVO to other organizations and companies, with K-Tech been one of the main sponsors. As objective, the synchronization of the subjects and their inner spirits, with hundreds of children as candidates.

In the end, only a few dozen survived, Natsuki, and another she made friends with named Shizuka, a prodigy like her, among them. For the Kensen family, it was another sign that the second child was truly blessed, and the family was destined for greatness. For Natsuki, it was a horrifying and traumatic experience. One she talks with few. Yet, the experiment was a success. Connected like never before with her spirit, Natsuki quickly became a powerful warrior and figure in the Kensen family. The took a lot of roles, but mainly the role of enforcer for the company’s assets. Thus, Natsuki became to be known as a great warrior, with a title, the most famous one….

The Fabled Blade

She had it all. She was at the height of her life. Yet, Natsuki was ambitious. She wanted more. Her relationship with her brother was great, each loving like siblings do, like a little sister does…. But her ambition was greater. So, she started to accumulate influence in the company. More and more, trying to get hold of the leadership in a way that will not weaken the family, but make her the head. For her, power was more important than family. Yet, something changed one year….

A large terrorist organization started to create problems for the company, targeting assets on different countries, including company property. Enrage, the company send Natsuki to eliminate the threat. Following that, Natsuki proceeded to destroy the large terrorist organization part by part. Unknown to Natsuki, the terrorist organization had ties with EVO, a now colossal organization with huge amount of power, influence and partners like K-Tech. A few years ago, the terrorist organization acquired a new asset from EVO to help them with their goals in exchange of influence on the terrorists. A superhuman girl created on a lab besides other girls like her in a project initiated by EVO known as project Terra. The fusion of the female body and the spirit of animals into a single being, creating beings with a lot of abilities and the capacity to evolve far and beyond what humans can. The beings created on this project are consider as a new form of life known as human Primordials, or Primordial girls. By technicality, Natsuki and the other girls that survived Project Genesis would also be consider as Primordials. But, to EVO’s outrage, one of their assets would be used, abused and made into a terrorist killing machine. One of their best creations, the primordial known as The Black Ratel. And soon, after the terrorist learned of Natsuki’s rampage, their human weapon was sent….

The Black Ratel was soon sent against The Fabled Blade….

… And the battle ended as a one-sided fight and victory for Natsuki. After that, Natsuki proceeded to destroy the last base that threatened K-Tech’s assets. When Natsuki returned home, she returned…. With a little girl of 14 years old. This is how, using Natsuki’s influence to make it happen despite her father’s protests, the main family of the Kensens got their second daughter, the adoptive daughter and little sister that Natsuki named Yamiko. Natsuki could not kill the child. She could not and was horrified at what the terrorist did to the girl. The abuse…. The mistreatment…. The… The signs of sexual abuse… Natsuki was outraged. She wanted to go in a warpath and destroy the terror organization entirely. Bue she could not since she was on a timeline, thus decided to bring the girl with her and adopt her, opinions be dammed.

Luckly for Natsuki, the leadership in EVO was also outraged to what was done to their asset…. Although for far more pragmatic reasons. Yet, certain Primordial girls soon learned what happen, and soon, with the approval of the leadership, started hunting season…. And a few months later, the entire terrorist organization was destroyed and their entire leadership and members death…. Something that only serve to further increase EVO’s influence and power projection.
Meanwhile, Natsuki was busy working as an enforcer and learning what it means to be a big sister. And soon, she started to give a greater value to what people call family. With her father’s approval growing…. her big brother and their relationship improving….and her genuine love for her new little sister flourishing… Natsuki came to know the happiest days of her life.

Then a dispute between clans happened.

As a massive international organization, EVO has a lot of partners of various kinds. From industrial enterprises, R&D organizations, national governments, billionaires, heavy industries, militaries, secret organizations, mystical organizations, powerful clients, and others. In this case, the dispute was between the KS Technology & Arms Corporation and the Saigo clan, a very powerful and influential ninja clan that gives its services to EVO and supports various secretive operations for the Mega organization. Both heads of K-Tech and the Saigo Clan disputed over a potential place of leadership in one of the seats at the future Cabinet in EVO, as representatives of their own organizations. Both men hated each other not only for political and pragmatic reasons, but also for personal ones. EVO, as intermediary, tried to solve the issue. Due to the unwillingness of the Kensen family to hang over their previous asset now known as Yamiko, mostly due to Natsuki and her brother Kenji’s influence, EVO decided to settle the dispute in favor of the Saigo clan. Of course, this enraged the Kensen family, but instead of responding by going against their partner EVO, K-Tech decided to sanction the Saigo clan using Kensen’s economic power and influence. Of course, this enraged the Saigo clan, and since both head already despised each other’s existence….

Well… Things went down hill FAST.

The Saigo clan, a ninja clan, sent their best to do what no one saw coming…. And soon enough, to Natsuki and the entire Kensen family and clan’s shock and rage, the head of the corporation and family, Kensen Kanji, also known to everyone by General Kensen, was assassinated. Nobody bothers with an investigation, for everyone knew who order it. This of course means that Kensen Kenji, as heir, was now the head of the corporation and family…. Yet, things took an unexpected turn. The assassin was none other than Natsuki’s first and old friend, Shizuka from Project Genesis, and none other than the daughter of the head of the Saigo clan, Saigo Shingen, and heir to the clan! And, again, to the entire clan’s shock, and Natsuki’s full outrage, the Kenji and the woman fell in love with each other!!! And following that, he helps her escape! It was too much…. Natsuki initially believed her brother was seduced and lied…. But Natsuki was smart enough to see that there was genuine love between them. Yet, Natsuki felt betrayed, and as soon as Kenji married the bitch, Natsuki used her political power and influence, together with the approval of an outraged Kensen clan, and removed Kenji, her brother, as heir. Then… In her outrage, Natsuki the new head of the Kensen family, vanished Kenji, which with the help of Shizuka, fled from the Kensen family. A decision that felt right at the time… Meanwhile, Natsuki hid the truth from her little sister, Yamiko, not wanting to destroy the image she had of her big brother.
It was calm for a few mouths…. Time Natsuki used to solidify her position on the clan and do damage control. But it did not last… For some months later, Kenji died by the Saigo clan’s hands. None knew what happened, but none cared. It was the last straw for the Kensen family. For Natsuki… and more importantly, for her little sister Yamiko. It was WAR. Natsuki and the entire family agree. And although Natsuki was an emotional mess after learning about the death of her brother, mostly because she considers herself responsible, she iron herself and promise to avenge her brother personally…..

…. But it was too late to act…. Again, for someone already did the Kensen clan’s work.

Because…. To the shock of the Kensen family…. To the complete shock of EVO… to the shock of everyone… The ENTIRE Saigo clan, everyone including elders, women, children, babies…. Was death…. Except for one. The culprit. The murderer. The kunoichi….

Saigo Shizuka…. Now known as Kensen Shizuka to Kensen Natsuki’s fury.

That woman… She stole everything…. She is the one that caused this…. She is the one that destroyed Natsuki’s perfect life…. So…. Natsuki. Will. Destroy. HER!!

It does not take much time to track her… A prodigy like Natsuki and enforcer are good at tracking people. Thus…. At last, the former friends united by the horrors of Project Genesis meet each other again. Shizuka does not beg for mercy, nor forgiveness. In fact, she also glares at Natsuki with rage, named Natsuki responsible for exiling her brother…. Making him vulnerable…. True. But Natsuki does not care about that right now. Neither Shizuka when Natsuki calls her mistakes that let to this mess. Neither of those things matter. Arguments are unimportant right now…. Because….

Right now, what is most important to BOTH…. Is to see the girl in front of them DEATH!!!

And thus, in a place far from civilization, beneath a little mountain where two tombs can be found….

And the result….

A DRAW

Both girls fought with all their power, holding nothing back… their rage towards the other would not allow it. More impressive even, their rage was so immense that their normal abilities got empowered by it. Yet… It was not enough to kill the girl that destroy their lives. Both failed. But…. They know that their opponent doesn’t have much left. They are almost out. Both Natsuki and Shizuka prepared themselves to die at that moment…. Just to kill the girl opposite to them… But their fight was interrupted.
A woman that disappeared from their lives returns. A woman that suddenly gets between them in tears and beg them both to stop.
That woman’s name is Lisa Herrera. After Project Genesis, both girls where traumatised. But this woman saved them both from suffering from that trauma. She was an employee from EVO that took the role of handler to monitor them after the project. But…. For both girls, the woman was the mother they never had. A mother figure that shows them love, hug them, spoiled them, and took care of them in the darkest moments of their lives when they were small. Yet…. She disappeared years ago without trace. Both girls tried on their own ways to find her without results. Both fear that she died and her identity erased. Both in some way or another tried to get her location or status out of EVO without results.
Yet…. Here she was.

Both girls lost their anger as they both look in shock at their mother figure. Then, probably due to the fatigue, they collapse and lose councience. When they woke up, they were both heavily bandaged in the same room in different beds. Their mother figure taking care of them. Both feel like little girls once again. Yet…. They recognize the presence of their hated enemy too and were prepared to restart their fight to the death once again. But their mother stops them. Using her influence over them, she acts as meditator. And, after some persuasion, Natsuki narrated her story soon followed by Shizuka. Each other story followed by sobs as both girls hugged their mother trying both relief their pain with her warm and keep her with them so she does not flee again. They have not really forgiven each other, but both girls agree to a trust, for they both recognized that although both were at fault in some way, they are also victims that have suffered from the lost of someone dear to them…. Although Natsuki did not say it at the time, but she could not help herself at feeling pity and sadness for Shizuka’s story and fate. And…. Rage at the Saigo clan and the head for the monstrous thing they did to her former friend. But… She and Shizuka feel that… With their mother figure back, they can both move forward and try to create repair those wounds with their mother’s gentle and good nature.

But that dream died quickly…. For Lisa Herrera then told her story to her girls. The reason why she fled and… why she cannot go back

Turns out, Lisa Herrera was not a simple employee of EVO… But a researcher from Project Genesis…..
THE Researcher of the project. The leading researcher and the genius that came with the idea and way to do it. The one responsible that make it happen…. Responsible for the death of HUNDREDS of children via experimentation of the worst kinds
And it gets worst…..

She is also one of the two founders of EVO. The current most powerful organization in the world. And the other person that found it, the current president and head, is no other than her ex-husband, Lorenzo Salazar…. Which made her at the time, Lisa Salazar. A woman that only started to consider what she was doing after she took the role of handler to watch over us, her project’s results. At that time, she started developing doubts, but she continue regardless. Then, a few years later, she got pregnant and had a daughter. A daughter she experimented on while she was pregnant and while she was a baby! After said daughter became The Key on making Project Terra, which she designed with Lorenzo, she started to have even more doubts about what she was doing… doubts about her choices… Doubts about her experiments and the girls that will soon be created using her daughter’s special DNA. Then started to realise what she had done to other people as the love for her daughter develop. Then, as more and more Primordial girls were created or terminated due to defects or failures… After more than tens of thousands of those girls were terminated with just VERY SMALL number of survivors…. After her baby further experiments on her daughter…. After all of that… Her councience could not take it anymore…. She had enough.

So she fled. She fled and hid with her daughter. For years, she hid with her daughter, remarried with an abusive husband not for love, but to camouflage and hid…. A husband that subjected both mother and daughter to suffering. She did not do anything to stop the abuse, just hid…. Until her own daughter had enough and killed her abusive husband. It was only until her new teen daughter pull her out of there that she started to come back to herself… and then she detected our fight using methods that still today she refused to reveal and decided to come here to stop us. For the first time in years, she decided to be a act as a mother should do and stop us….

What a fucking joke…

Natsuki could not take it anymore…. After a few minutes of silence, she suddenly stood and began walking to the door, away from her mot….No… That woman. But not without saying the last words to her….

“Coward” And the response was, “I know” while keeping a painful smile

Natsuki is too prideful to admit it… But after exiting the door, she FLED. She ran away as tears fell from her eyes and sobs got out of her mouth. It is not until much later that Shizuka tells Natsuki that, when she asked in tears if Lisa’s smiles, words and emotions were true at the time, Lisa answer no at the beginning, but yes at the end. The answer was enough to make Shizuka flee herself.
Back with Natsuki, the tragedies for her were not over. Her little sister, Yamiko, had fled from home…. And it does not take a genius to know that it was to avenge her big brother by killing the woman that took him away, that kidnapped him. But… Kenji-Niisan was not kidnapped. He went willingly. The reason why her little sister believes that is because Natsuki lie to her, with not only because she believed for some idiotic reason that she was protecting her little sister, but because she despised Kenji-Niisan at the time and wanted to keep him away from her imouto away for him. Of course, Natsuki tried desperately to bring her back home… but she could not find her.

It was only a few months later that a crow arrived at her office with a message from Shizuka. Yamiko found her and tried to kill her. Now she is on bed after Shizuka was forced to knock her out. Of course, Natsuki went personally for her imouto. Once her imouto awoke, she had not choice but to tell her the truth. As expected, her imouto got angry at her, said some horrible words and ran away, again. At this point, Natsuki could not keep going anymore. She lost her entire close family. People very close to her. Ironically…. Seen her like this, Shizuka took her in. For the next few days, Natsuki fell into depression with Shizuka taking care of her at her temporary home. This made them…. Reconnect. But, due to the previous events and the death of Kenji, the two of them still had a hatred for each other. And in the next months, Natsuki gradually recover from her depression with the help of Shizuka. In turn, Natsuki helped Shizuka with hers, for not only she lost Kenji, her husband, but their newborn daughter as well, been burned alive in front of her, and been forced to be in a isolated cell with her body for 3 days until she broke and killed everybody. Both were breaking…. So… They will try to patch each other, help each other, and cry in each other’s chest. When they feel very lonely, they both lose themselves on sake and… make a mess. In fact, Shizuka was Natsuki’s first! Or course such things helped a lot on creating a curious relationship of lovers\enemies\sisters\rivals\best friends\coworkers\lady and kunoichi\sisters-in-law…. So… In summary, it is complicated.

As for Yamiko, Natsuki begged for Shizuka to keep an eye on her, which the kunoichi agreed to. But not for long, since to their surprise and irony, Lisa Herrera, their mother figure, took Yamiko as her daughter, which is technically true, although Yamiko does not know it, and gave her a home and a new sister. Thus, Yamiko gained the middle name of Herrera since she refused to discard the Kensen name. Of course, Natsuki and Shizuka pay their mother figure a ‘visit’ in secret. They were still angry and their mother figure but could not really hate her. They both wanted to but could not. So, they allow her to keep Yamiko.
However, after that topic, another came…..

What now?

Their mother figure aside, Natsuki and Shizuka were horrified at what the EVO organization was doing. You see…. The EVO organization might have a lot of partners, provide a lot of different services and have ownership of different companies and organizations. But, at its core, EVO is an organization focus on research and development in biology, the body and the soul. They integrate a lot of other fields including mystics and mysteries on their research. And their goal? The advance of humanity as a species.

It is a noble goal…. But the problem comes at the methods used, for they don’t care much about morals when it comes to experimentation. They not only conduct mass human experimentation on people obtained in various ways including kidnapping, slavery, debts or blackmail, but they also promote individual research that sometimes is conducted by individuals that don’t give a damn about ethics and commit the most atrocious crimes ever. To Natsuki’s shame, some of those experiments have been conducted by K-Tech too. Her disciple that she toughs the art of the sword and the feeling and use of spiritual energy, Kisara, enters her mind. A Primordial girl created in a collaboration between KS Technologies & Arms Corporation and EVO’s Project Terra development team. Lorenzo Salazar himself participated on the collaboration. Using the Kensen’s family knowledge and expertise on spirits, data about mystics and the data collected on me, the scientists succeed after thousands of trials to make a Primordial using the concept of a Soul Butterfly. The end results? Kisara. ‘A unique Primordial and a true masterpiece of K-Tech and EVO’s research’ they say. Natsuki kind of agree at some level… When she was at age, Kisara was assigned to her to be trained on the use of the spirit and katana. She was reluctant at the time to teach someone, but in the end, we both developed a good Teacher-Student relationship. They also did some girls nights and sleep cuddling together. It was a pleasant experience for Natsuki who was habituated to a more reserved and upper-class life, although that was years ago, before Yamiko came to her life. Something that Yamiko never revealed to her, for fear of hurting her imouto’s feelings. Really, Natsuki loves her imouto and might have done a lot of mistakes in trying to keep her ‘safe’.

Ironically, it would not be known to Natsuki until much later that Shizuka was having similar thoughts a the time. Thoughts involving her own clan’s involvement on creating a Primordial called Ran, that she herself trained. Although they kept their relationship a little more reserved, there was a certain sisterhood between kunoichis there, with Ran sometimes calling the older kunoichi ‘Shizu-Neesama’.

But that does bring back the question of what to do to oppose EVO. They cannot simply go to ‘war’ against them, for it would be the same as going against the entire world. EVO has influence everywhere, even superpower level governments. And Lisa predicts that their influence will only grow more. A direct fight is impossible. Yet, something must be done. Luckly, their mother figure is called a ‘Sage’ for a reason. She does not consider dismantling the organization possible, for there was too many people involved. Hundreds of companies have connections with EVO. However, some also have influence on the organization. As Lisa explains it: Even if Lorenzo Salazar is a man of an intellectual equal to hers, he is mostly a scientist at heart and not a politician. Sure, he can do the job, well, but no man alone can maintain control of an organization the size of EVO alone. It is simply TOO big. Hence, the creation of a board that leads the company. This board is made of people representing their own companies that have connections to the organization and are consider as essential or important enough to have a say on the organization’s management. There are a lot of people in this board, but on the top of the pyramid is, of course, Lorenzo Salazar. Recently, the company has moved into making a more efficient governing body called The Cabinet. Now, representatives are still been selected. Representatives made from companies that are big, resourceful and important to EVO’s goals…. A company like K-Tech.
There is a problem however, the recent disaster with the Kensen and Saigo clan has certainly shaken things. Soon, people and companies of all kinds will use this opportunity to undermine Natsuki’s corporation. Things between K-Tech and EVO have not gone so well lately. Thus, Natsuki has a lot of work to do to advance the Kensens’ interests. Luckly, she has two great allies that could help on this.

Lisa has started a new company called Savanna’s Security & Surveillance. Her aim is to create a powerbase capable of influencing indirectly or directly EVO or its allies’ more direct operations around the world. Those operations been things like the managing of the slave traffic, experimentation black sites, large kidnapping operations, or the direct assault of assets. Of course, this will be done in a prudent manner that will avoid attracting dangerous attention or pissing the entire leadership in EVO. Also, Lisa comments on needing a power base of her own if she hopes to stand a chance against her husband, which will without doubt use his greatest asset in the form of the Primordial girls. Its is even more critical as old contacts in EVO from Lisa tell her that a special task force that will be known as Gaia Company has been assemble. This task force’s assets might be used by members of the board or the future Cabinet, but it is highly probably that Lorenzo Salazar will have the last word about their deployment. Thus, Lisa will need her own power base to counter it or other of EVO’s actions if necessary.

When it comes to the Primordials, Lisa is determined to do her best to protect those girls, for she knows that EVO is their only home, besides the ones that are made or the humans that are made into ones outside of EVO. Natsuki and Shizuka also agree that they will do their best to protect them from people that could abuse of them from a leadership position, or from Salazar that might use them as assets that can be thrown away. To that subject, Natsuki asks what Lisa will do if Yamiko ever discovers about Lisa’s past. Lisa answers that “regardless of what happens, I will look after my second daughter” Something on Natsuki relax at the response, she might feel anger at this woman that she once called ‘mama’, but she trusts that she will follow through her new commitment. It is also recommended to keep an eye on her, for Lisa and Shizuka noticed the grudge that Yamiko has against her creators, thus might act independently on her quest for vengeance.

In Shizuka’s case, she will be their trump card on certain scenarios. Sure, Natsuki proven as strong as her, but contrary to Natsuki, Shizuka does not have a large corporation like K-Tech to manage, and she is perfect at solo missions of all kinds. Shizuka swears to give her all for the cause, of going against EVO’s dishonorable activities and help both Lisa and Natsuki as their kunoichi, thus unofficially making them her ladies to serve as a kunoichi…. Although more in the case of Natsuki than Lisa since they are family now from Kenji’s marriage and…. Other complicated things.

This, as the Herrera-Kensen alliance is form, the three characters go on their separate ways to accomplish their objectives while further events develop over the next years.

Like the incident that led to a rupture on the Herrera family, after Yamiko learned about both her sister and her new mother’s past. A sister who now is dangerously close to getting involve now that she knows her role on the creation of the Primordials at Project Terra. A mother that Yamiko still loves but cannot bear to be close to after learning about her involvement on her creation, and for what she herself almost did on her rage after learning about it…. And after said accident, Natsuki has been trying her best to help her imouto in any way and hoping to one day reunite so she can beg once again for her forgiveness.

In the meantime, Natsuki has a game to play. She is now part of the newly formed Cabinet of Evolutionary Vison Organisation, or EVO in short order. She was given and voted to have the position of Director of Armaments and Modern Technology. Which means responsible for the development and production of weaponry and the development of technologies in the electronic, hardware, robotic and communication domains. However, it does not mean things have gone easier. At this point, despite EVO been called an organisation, it would be more accurate to call it a club. A club that works as an organization made by hundreds of private companies, organizations, rich families and governments. The Cabinet, as we are called, been the place where the ‘Directors’ of each field coordinate the members of this club to work together to have a better control on the R&D, the market, the production and the competition in the domains assigned to the director. It could be said that we are the babysitters of the entities related to those domains, and to allow for a more efficient decentralized market, yet at the same time making sure to strengthen the centralized organization known as EVO that is used to achieve this. In order words, to push for the development of the world from the shadows while making sure that the organization that does it stays strong. Of course, if a director sucks or fails at his or her job, then he or her will be voted out by the other directors or the members that the director is responsible for. A true meritocracy…. And a dangerous game where you are trying to take advantage of your position to push your people forward without failing in the process and turning everyone against you, thus making your people, aka company, corporation, and others, suffer from it. In Natsuki’s case, she is trying the hard way to change this organization for the better… which means going against others with their own agenda. Smiling at each other from here while we try to outplay each other with our assets instead of words. Meanwhile, Lorenzo Salasar, the president, Director of medical and biological research and Master of the Game outplay all newbies using his own influence and assets in various ways, while having the loyalty of the majority of the Primordials in a position of power, a majority which Natsuki is not part of. For Lorenzo Salasar is her enemy in this great game…

When it comes to her powers as a Primordial, they are quite versatile as a Nine-Tails Kitsune. It often involves controlling the environment around her and the use of a powerful class of spirit fire that is incorporated on her sword arts. Also, despite her female frame, she is able to easily use spirit energy in her body to augment herself and also move at great speeds in quite a few different ways.
