Rather than watching boxing matches on a large TV screen, patrons get to witness live fights in a 20x20 ft ring right in the middle of the bar! The action at Marty’s is intimate and electrifying. Tonight, I'm one of the fighters stepping into that ring. As I enter, I notice the ring with its vibrant ropes and a buzzing crowd of patrons enjoying their drinks. The air is thick with anticipation as everyone eagerly awaits the night's main event.

19:13 Valenzuela: Tonight’s event: Karla, from Mexico, “La Princesa” (5 ft 3 in, 120 lbs, 32 years old) versus Laura, the Danger Angel from Poland (5 ft 7 in, 150 lbs, 23 years old). Standard boxing rules apply, but since this is an unsanctioned fight at a local bar, they’re not strict about enforcing weight classes. The prize to the winner is €1,000!

The ref calls us to the centre to go over her instructions, then sends us back to our corners. I offer you a tap before returning, to wait for the bell to ring.

09:41 Valenzuela: DING! I come out of my corner quickly, forming an orthodox stance with my left glove and foot leading, elbows tucked in, bobbing from side to side as I bounce lightly on my feet. As I approach you, I decide to test your reflexes by snapping a quick double jab towards your nose, left glove.
09:44 Laura_Danger_Angel: DING!! I shuffle out of the corner in my orthodox stance, mirroring yours. You fire a couple of tentative jabs that land on my gloves and as the second one lands I take a step forward sending a hard right hook towards your ribcage under your extended arm...quickly shifting weight trying to add a short left uppercut to your navel (R1 2:40)
09:49 Valenzuela: You block my jabs with your gloves, and quickly step into me, landing a hard right hook into the side of my left rib cage, and I grimace and grunt form the impact. This is followed up with a short uppercut to my navel, so I tighten my abs to absorb the impact, grunting and exhaling and rather than pull back, I try to go toe to toe, sending a sweeping right hook towards your jaw, wanting to go over your left shoulder, then take a half step back, trying to follow up with a left/right straight punch combo towards the centre of your face.
09:53 Laura_Danger_Angel: my punches land hard and I can hear some grunt from you when...UFFFF...your hook turns my head and as you take a step back I reset my guard, taking your straights on my gloves again and with your right extended I fire a solid left shovel hook towards your liver area, quickly trying to add a hard right uppercut under your chin
09:58 Valenzuela: I land the hook, and feel it up my arm as it smacks into the side of your head, but you block my straights, and then send a nasty shovel hook to my liver, so I twist my torso to the left, and down, so the hit to the liver, lands on my ribs, it hurts, but not like a liver shot would. Almost immediately afterwards, this is followed by a right uppercut, but rather than landing on my chin, it hits the centre of my face, because of my downward twist to my left, I can feel the impact of your gloved knuckles on my nose, which immediately dribbles blood. The impact snaps my head up, and I stumble backwards, and try to quickly reset my guard.
10:03 Laura_Danger_Angel: my uppercut bloodies your nose and sends you stumbling back...I come forward to keep pressure with a left and right straight towards your chin, trying to keep your guard up as I fire a vicious and solid left short uppercut towards your liver again
10:07 Valenzuela: As I retreat, you stay in step with me, and I keep my guard up to block those straights, and then an uppercut comes in at my live, but my elbows are tucked in and the shot hits my right elbow, deflecting away from my liver. I try to get in the fight by sending a right hook towards your jaw, hoping to go around your guard, then I try to drive a left uppercut between your elbows up to your solar plexus
10:11 Laura_Danger_Angel: you deflect my uppercut with your elbow and UFFFF...once again your hook turns my head...I take a step back resetting my guard and your uppercut is blocked by my forearms as i take half step to my right and fire a heavy right hook towards your jaw as your left arm is out of position...trying to force you back adding a short left uppercut under your chin

10:14 Valenzuela: My hook hits your jaw once again, twisting your face, but you snuff my uppercut with your gloves, and with my left out of place, you SLAM a brutal right hook into my jaw that twists my face to the right, spit spraying out of my mouth, and then as I turn my head back to centre you punch a short left uppercut into my chin, snapping my head back, I stumble a few steps, but the top rope presses into my back and I regain my footing, and bring my guard up.

10:20 Laura_Danger_Angel: BAMMMM BAMMMM!!! my 2 punch combo sends you back to the ropes, crowd on its feet...I come forwards as you reset your guard and faint a left straight to your chin to make you keep your gloves high, blocking it mid way and firing a hard left straightto your navel, hoping to land hard and make you lower your guard to create space for my upcoming powerful right hook to the chin
10:26 Valenzuela: My back presses into the rope, stopping further retreat, and I know I have to box my way off these fucking ropes. The crowd is animated as they watch the intense fight unfold. A left straight comes at my chin, so I raise my guard to block, but before it reaches me, it shoots downward, striking my navel, and I let out a grimace. I try to drop my right to block your left, but its too late, then a right hook shoots out, so I weave under it, breathing hard, and try to hammer your navel with a left and right uppercut as I come back up, trying to force you back so I can circle around you and get off the ropes. My skin now glistening with sweat.

10:30 Laura_Danger_Angel: My left lands but you manage to duck under my right and UGHHH...your left uppercut tags my tensed abs...I take a step back and your right just misses me leaving you open for a counter as you try to get off the ropes...and I send a huge left hook towards your temple trying to shook you up a bit while I follow up with a brutal right uppercut under your chin (R1 1:00)
10:33 Valenzuela: My left hits a solid wall of tensed abdominal muscle and my right misses as you take a step back, my right over extends, and you are fast to take advantage, sending a powerful left hook into my temple....uggg....it feels like you slammed a brick into my head, then a brutal right hook hits my chin, snapping my head up, and forcing me back into the ropes, now glassey eyed, I swing back with a wild left hook towrds your head asmy back presses into the ropes. (1 0:50)
10:36 Laura_Danger_Angel: My powerful punches send you back to the ropes glassy eyed...I smell blood and come forward ducking under your left hook sending a counter right uppercut under your chin trying to lift your head fot the upcoming left hook haymaker to your jaw (1 0:40)
10:41 Valenzuela: My left hook misses, and then you land a right uppercut to my chin, that lifts my head up for a massive haymaker that pounds my jaw, twisting my head to my right, and suddenly my knees buckle, and collapse under me, my back slides down each rope, until my ass lands on the canvass. The ropes keep me propped up, as my chin drops onto my chest, and my gloves drop to my sides, idle, eyes roll back in my head, as I sit propped into the bottom rope, knocked out, crowd erupts from the action. KO'd in round 1, at 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

The event featured Karla "La Princesa" Valenzuela from Mexico against Laura "The Polish Hammer" from Poland. With standard boxing rules in play, but a relaxed approach to weight classes, the fighters competed for a €1,000 prize.
Karla, standing 5 ft 3 in and weighing 120 lbs, entered the ring with confidence, sporting a white sports bra and blue boxing shorts. Her opponent, the 5 ft 7 in, 150 lbs Laura, entered with a black sports bra and trunks, her silver gloves gleaming under the lights.
From the opening bell, the action was intense. Karla tried to assert dominance with quick jabs, but Laura's powerful counters soon took their toll. A right hook to Karla's ribs followed by a left uppercut to her navel set the tone. Despite Karla landing a few good shots, Laura's relentless assault, including a brutal left hook to Karla's temple and a right uppercut under her chin, proved overwhelming.
At 2 minutes and 30 seconds into the first round, Laura's devastating combination left Karla propped up against the ropes, completely knocked out. The crowd erupted as the referee waved off the fight, declaring Laura "The Polish Hammer" the winner by knockout. Laura flexed victoriously to the cheering audience, her first-round victory a testament to her formidable power and skill.
