Instant Defeat

Instant Defeat refers to situations in fights where they end very quickly, usually within a few seconds. The prime example of that is the scene from the original Mortal Kombat movie, where a monk-guy shows off in front of subzero, only to be killed with one move, known as The Banquet Scene:

It can be deadly finisher at the start of the fight, like that from the movie, or a quick snap of the neck. Or a knockout.

But it could also refer to figurative defeat. For example when your opponent charges at you, and you punch them and they are left dizzy. You can also break their wrist, for example, and this leaves them basically unable or very unlikely to win the fight... from there all that remains is to just finish them off... or have more fun with them!
