2021-04-28 01:38"What if?" Inspiring words from an inspiring man, Erik I don't know how you do it, but every time I read your words my creativity just flares. So I had this idea I'd like to share with the guys here and see if anyone is interested in participating.
Themes involved: Action, Adventure, Death, Extreme Violence, Fantasy, Romance, Weapons.
You were living your life normally, but today... today was being weird, either too good or too bad for you... that's not normal, you even question yourself if this is a dream or a nightmare... And that's when it happens. A strange dark mist starts to surround you. You look around confused/scared as the world around you seems to freeze as the mist covers you completely and then... complete darkness.
When the light finally comes back to your eyes you find yourself in a place straight out of movies or games. You're in front of a tower, in the middle of nowhere, the area around you reminds you of an island, but instead of water around you all you can see is an endless space with what seems to be floating rocks with nothing on them. You turn your attention back to the tower, a strange blue light coming from the top, it reminds you of a lighthouse. So you decide to step closer and climb it, but that's when the piece of rock you were standing on falls off and you're back in the darkness of the dark mist.
The next time you awake you find yourself in a room, like a museum with three different paintings and eight sculptures. You feel something drop on your cheek and as you check it you notice it's blood! You look up fast and find words written on the ceiling: "Chose... your... path." You wonder what those words mean, and as you read it in your mind the words slowly start to fade away...
You turn your attention to the paintings next. They all seem a bit odd to you, not the kind of paintings you'd usually find in a museum. You slowly move towards the one to the left, it shows a dark area with what looks like a storage house in the middle, its lights blinking like they're having some power problems in there, you can tell that the place looks abandoned. As you approach you to see a name appear written in blood at the lower right of the painting: "Loneforge Retreat". Then you turn your attention to the middle one a strange-looking gas station, it is not located near any road, it seems to be in the middle of nowhere. It is nighttime and the light from the moon helps light the scenario along with the lights coming from the abandoned gas station. When approached the painting's name appears in the bottom right: "Azatov's Gas Haven". The last one at the far right shows a brighter scenario, a corn farm with a large tree on the far left side of the painting and an abandoned house on the bottom right. When approach you find the name of the painting, written in red at the bottom left: "Hidden Creek Ranch".
You turn your attention back to the sculptures:
The first one is a muscular man standing with his sword in front of him in a defensive stance; The second a big man with an angry expression holding a giant ax in front of himself like he's trying to use it as a shield; The third one is an oriental man wearing gauntlets in an unusual defensive stance; The fourth is a smaller man holding a dagger backward over his forearm standing on his tiptoes, ready to make his move; The fifth one shows a man holding two pistols, one in each hand pointing them forward; The sixth shows a large man holding an equally large greatsword he has it positioned diagonally in front of him in a defensive manner; The seventh shows a man holding a bow with an arrow ready to be fired at whatever stands in front of him; The eighth one, however, feels off among the rest... It shows a young boy on his knees looking curiously forward, in his hands you can see a small ring he holds in front of his eye.
You suddenly feel a chill go down your spine, you know exactly what that means, you're being watched. When you turn around you notice that the paintings from before have changed, the dark mist from before is coming off of them and you can see it slowly making its way towards you. You look at the ground and you can read the words "Make your choice... What path will you take?"
To continue this story I would like a group of 4 men (myself included) all of us have found ourselves in a room exactly like this, seeing the same paintings, sculptures, and words. If you're interested in helping me develop this story please contact me by message. I have a plan on how I want this to play out, but I'd love to hear your ideas and thoughts on where to go with this.
