FIRST CONTACT - THE MINNEAPOLIS AFFAIR PART 1

Starring

09:08 AgentJamesMason: My job as one of MI6’s top agents took me to some very exotic places. Today, it was the middle of a frozen hell as I strode down the busy street in the middle of Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was cold, with a cold that soaked right into your bones. London was a tropical paradise in comparison. I tightened the collar of my heavy overcoat, and looked up at the imposing, towering building that housed the headquarters for the Minneapolis Police Department. I was one of the world’s leading experts in countering the Syndicate’s far-flung empire of crime and terrorism, designated by MI6 as the head of their counter-Syndicate operations. And, today my job brought me here to Minneapolis.

09:08 AgentJamesMason: The Syndicate was at it again. They had developed a new drug, with the street name B. It caused a highly addictive state of blissful euphoria in about 90% of users. But in the other 10%.... it caused brutal psychotic breaks. They'd tried pushing this drug in London, taking over the local organizations, flooding the city with it. They had raked in the cash, and the resulting chaos, the rash of bizarre murders from psychotic bastards going on a rampage had nearly brought the city to its knees. I had spent nearly three months infiltrating their distribution organization, going deep undercover, until I discovered the link with the Syndicate. From there, I used ... other channels... to figure out where the head of the snake was, and cut it off. I still had nightmares about some of the shit I saw as a result of B.

09:08 AgentJamesMason: When we got word that the Syndicate was spreading their operations to Minneapolis to try again, we let our Yankee mates in on the tip. Apparently, Minneapolis has a savage drug problem already, and was proving to be a lucrative market for them to try their tricks again. To our shock, the Americans actually listened and behaved with something approaching rationality and requested my aid in exchange for other favors.

09:08 AgentJamesMason: I entered the lobby of the Police headquarters, and approached the reception desk, grateful to be out of the freezing cold. I showed my credentials to the receptionist, after which I was led deeper into the building, walking down a long hallway to a small conference room. I was told that Inspector Kyle Byrne would be with me shortly. I nodded, and shrugged off my heavy coat, my shoulder holster with my Glock sidearm now exposed.

09:08 AgentJamesMason: I turn to look in a mirror on the wall, checking out my form, stopping to make a small adjustment to the cuffs of my white button up shirt, with my thick, powerful, 91 kgs and 5’10” of SAS trained muscle straining the seams of the cotton fabric.

09:08 AgentJamesMason: With the Syndicate’s involvement, I expected this assignment to be a rough ride, but I was always ready for trouble. I was at the top of my game. My background in the British SAS had given me the fighting, stealth, infiltration, weapons handling, and survival skills I needed to be the best. I’d earned my position as MI6’s top man through hard work, diligence, and training. And the training never stopped, I worked just as hard today as when I was in the SAS to keep my body packed with hard, combat-ready, lethal muscle. There were always situations where the best weapon was my own muscle and skills.

09:08 AgentJamesMason: I turned and moved to take a seat at the small table, reviewing what I knew of the detective I’d been assigned to work with. I’d reviewed Inspector Kyle Byrne’s CV, and his training and accomplishments were impressive. He could take care of himself, and he specialized in psychology, with an unique gift in getting inside the criminal mind. He was, also, to be totally fair, an incredibly handsome man, very fit, and well-trained. I was looking forward to working with him.

09:49 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Life was challenging, and sometimes pushed the limits of a person. I bite my lip in desperation and nod to my uncle who was talking on the other side of the phone.

09:49 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "Alright Uncle Tim... I will dress warmly, and I will be careful. Don't worry... Fine... I will visit you as soon as this case finishes, okay? Good... Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a meeting with someone special... Uh huh... Ahh, I love you too, bye..."

09:49 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Then I finished the call, and put my cell phone in my pocket. Adjusting my belt and checking myself in the mirror in front me, still in my office, I take a deep long breath. Since my childhood, I loved challenges, it all helped me to improve for the better. However, this one was different. This was my third case as a detective, but I have never seen something like it in my entire life. This drug, this B, was unique, beyond the human imagination. And it was definitely not something that a small time criminal gang could come up with. There was much more to it. And for some reason, for the first time in my life, I needed assistance. Minneapolis was trying to fight against this cursed drug, but it was not enough. There was something wrong. Why do challenges have to be this hard sometimes? This was really confusing, and I really didn't know where to start. Maybe this was related to the Syndicate, hell it was probably because of the Syndicate, but I have little information about them sadly.

09:49 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: But today, I have an appointment that can answer these questions. Agent James Mason, an experienced fighter and a strategist was going to be my partner in this case. I guess my request for assistance got the attention of the administration, and led them to ask for help from Great Britain. Which was definitely a relief for me. I was clever, but I have little experience with an operation this massive, and for some problems, experience can be much more valuable than intelligence.

09:49 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Tidying my hair, I take another breath, and start heading to the conference room. I was in my white shirt, black dress pants and shoes as well, at 5'8 and 82 kg. I didn't have time to read this Agent’s background and history properly, but the department was full of rumors about the famous Agent, which was making me feel a little better. But still, I had doubts, doubts that I can't deny and ignore. I was hopeful that maybe his experience was the key to my doubts as well, so I was happy to reserve judgement.

09:49 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Finally, I enter the room and quickly notice a muscled big guy sitting in a chair. I close my eyes, inhale deeply, then start walking towards you slowly, as I open my mouth. My tone was both sincere but also professional. I smile warmly, my eyes sparkling as I examine your body and features, slowly moving my gaze from your toes to your face.

09:49 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "Welcome Agent James Mason... I am Inspector Kyle Byrne, it's a pleasure to meet you. Sorry for keeping you wait..." But my eyes widen in amazement as they touch your face. You were so handsome. You were not that young, I definitely can read that experience from your manly features. But this was not preventing you from being hot as hell for sure. Realizing that my mouth opened unwillingly in astonishment, I quickly shake my head and chuckle randomly to distract you. Hoping you don't realize my stupidly expressed admiration. But you definitely seem like the type to notice that. I try to continue with a much more excited tone. "I'm glad you are here..."

10:22 AgentJamesMason: I look up as the door opens, and get my first sight of Inspector Kyle Byrne. Immediately, as you begin to check me out from top to bottom, I'm drawn first to your face, you are far more handsome in person than a photograph can convey. Two things that catch my eye, first, your smile, warm and sincere, lighting up the room. Then, your eyes, sparkling and bright.

10:22 AgentJamesMason: I'm a good judge of men, it's necessary in my line of business. And I've learned over the years that you can learn more about a man from his eyes than the rest of his words and mannerisms put together. The eyes of Inspector Kyle painted a picture of a sincere, honest, dedicated officer who had the warmth and determination of a man I would be proud to serve with.

10:22 AgentJamesMason: My eyes move down and take in your form, looking sharp and clean in your black trousers and crisp, white shirt. I can tell that while you are not as thickly muscled as I am, you keep yourself fit and in shape.

10:22 AgentJamesMason: As you start greeting me, our eyes meet and exchange glances. I feel the electricity in the air as you falter mid-sentence, your jaw dropping open in astonishment as you took in my lightly bearded face and eyes. My own eyes widened, and I could feel the thick, sudden, unspoken mutual attraction hanging in the air between us. Wow.. talk about being hit by lighting. You were younger than I was, much younger, but your handsome features, your determination, your sheer strength of character, all of it, I found incredibly appealing. And it was clear that you were struck equally hard by my presence.

10:22 AgentJamesMason: You try to recover from your slip, and I break into a warm grin, as you continue, but your voice carried some of the excitement of our initial reaction to each other.

10:22 AgentJamesMason: I stand up, my powerfully muscled body moving with the grace and poise of an elite fighter, as I walk around the table to face you, reaching out my hand to take yours in a firm, strong handshake. The physical connection between us sent a thrill up my arm. The attraction I was feeling towards this young, handsome inspector was intense.

10:22 AgentJamesMason: I speak up, trying to keep my tone lightly friendly, and firmly professional, but not quite able to keep the excitement out of my voice. "Likewise, Inspector, I'm glad to be here. I'm grateful your government invited me. Any opportunity we have to counter the Syndicate is a service not just to your nation, but to all of us. I promise you, I'll do my very best to help you break the Syndicate's grip on your city. I've seen what this drug did to London, I know the challenge you are facing here in Minneapolis first hand."

11:05 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: As you offer your handshake and I grab your hand, I feel a tickling inside me, something I have never experienced before. But I calmed down a little, your tone, voice and attitude were really comforting. The attraction I felt for you was definitely not something I expected from today, not that I was complaining.

11:05 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: And afterwards, I listen to your words carefully, almost like a student trying to learn a lesson from his teacher. As soon as you finished, I put another smile on my face, much more professional compared to the first ones. Nodding, I put the documents in my hand on the table while taking a seat, but my eyes were still examining your face with the same astonished gaze as before. I clear my throat, and finally answer in a confident and determined tone.

11:05 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "Glad I am not alone in that painful experience, sir. This case... It's just..." I quickly shook my head, I was planning to finish it with a hopeless comment, but that was not me. I still had faith, besides, there was no reason to act so negative in the first meeting of ours. I chuckle and continue in a much more cheerful tone "I can’t wait to catch those Syndicate men..." Then taking another deep breath, I start to search the documents that I put on the table, extracting a sheet from among them, then slowly stretch it out to you. It's a map of Minneapolis that has some red dots on them, two purple and one blue dot as well.

11:05 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "These are the main places that the drug dealers can be found in our city. Think of those red points as the bridges between the civilians and drug dealers. They are small scaled though, more local." I extend my arm to show you the purple dots this time, our hands touch unintentionally as I try to demonstrate, and I shiver a bit unwillingly.

11:05 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "These two are the main mafia organizations in our city. The difference between red dots and these ones is that their arms and hands can reach much larger scales, with contacts to some of the other closer states and even other countries as well. But until this time, I didn't find a connection between them and Syndicate. However, we know that they have a connection with London."

11:05 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: And finally, I show you the blue dot "And this is a place where I am suspecting now. My department finds it a bit far-fetched, it's an old and abandoned warehouse, where homeless people hang out. But recently, I got a report which showed some connection with London..." then I locked my gaze onto yours, clearly focused on the work on "And interestingly, the date drug B started to show up in London and the date of the communication we intercepted are the... same..."

11:05 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Afterwards I lean back on my chair, with a huge sigh, "Maybe I am focusing too hard on that, I don't know... But it feels a bit odd to me... Still, my department is forcing me to examine the purple dots first since we have only limited time before this drug takes over the city... But before investigating, I wanted to hear your advice..."

11:57 AgentJamesMason: I let go of your hand, and move back around to take my seat, eyes watching as you sit down across from me, as you keep that warm, inviting smile that draws me in.

11:57 AgentJamesMason: I can tell as you start to speak again that the enormity of the problem has you concerned, but you recover and continue smoothly, trying to stay positive.

11:57 AgentJamesMason: I begin to examine the map of Minneapolis as soon as you push it across the table, scattered with red dots, but only two purple and one blue dot. I nod in understanding as you point out the red dots, representing local distributors. Then, as you point out the purple dots, we once again make contact as your hand brushes mine. It sends another thrill through me. Man, I'm really falling for this earnest young detective.

11:57 AgentJamesMason: I focus hard and pay attention. The purple dots represent the locations of the two main mafia families dabbling in drug distribution, as you point out your suspicion of a connection with London criminal elements. I nod, that was exactly how we got our tip off, through our contacts with the London mob.

11:57 AgentJamesMason: I really take an interest when you point out the blue dot though. When I heard your news that you became aware of communication from this warehouse to London at about the same time the drug epidemic crashed through my city, it really caught my attention. I immediately began to put two and two together. I felt my guts clench as you finished your explanation. I could see the pattern.

11:57 AgentJamesMason: I looked up from the map in time to catch the concerned exhale. Then, I replied. "In London, when we finally got to the bottom of the situation, we discovered that the Syndicate had embedded one of their agents into the criminal elements of the city. He was the sole source of B in the city, but he kept to the shadows, stayed out of the spotlight. Instead, he worked solely through the established London Mob families. He let them do all the dirty work. We were only able to put a stop to the flow of B once we found and ..." My face darkens as I'm talking, bringing up a painful memory of the brutal fight I had with the Syndicate agent in London. "... put him out of action."

11:57 AgentJamesMason: My features harden, as I remembered facing off against a series of poor, psychotic bastards whom the Syndicate agent kept like guard dogs. Men whose minds had cracked from the drug, reduced to animals.

11:57 AgentJamesMason: "If you want to kill a snake, Inspector, you need to cut off it's head." My finger points at the blue dot. "I'm willing to bet that your clever detective work has already found the head of our snake, but you didn't realize it yet. I can't prove it, but the facts line up." I smile at you suddenly, with a mischievous grin, "I'll bet you a round of drinks that this blue dot represents the hideout of the personal representative of the Syndicate. I bet we are going to find that the drug supply comes from him. This lines up with the intelligence tip we provided to your government."

Then, my face turns serious. "How bad is it Kyle?" I used your first name almost unconsciously. "How many psychotic breaks have been reported so far? I'm hoping that if we move fast and hit him hard, we can cut off the supply at the source before Minneapolis becomes a repeat of what happened in London." I catch your eyes with mine, and my gaze is hard, strong, determined. But once again, I feel that sense of electricity in the air. That sense of attraction. In my black slacks, my cock starts to stiffen, despite the seriousness of the situation, in reaction to your presence.

12:27 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: You listen to me carefully as I continue to talk, not intervening at all. Then you start explaining the process that you conducted in England, and from your speech, I feel a bit relieved, it was giving me the signs that I was on the right path even before you approved my discovery "directly". But my smile fades away as your face goes darker, clearly you are recalling a bad memory. A story - line that is hidden in your mysterious past. Normally in these positions, supporting your listener by applying physical contact would help a lot. It may seem a little thing, but in psychology, it really helps to move on. I stretch out my hand towards your wrist to rub and grab it, but all of a sudden, I pull it back and clench my fist. We were in a professional position right now, and sometimes, bringing your soft side, especially that early can make a bad impression. I just nod to your words.

12:27 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: But then, my smile widens again as you support me, and grin at me. I raise up in my chair, my confidence boosted. But your expression and eyes go darker again, asking a painful question. I shiver again at your serious face, and take a deep breath once more, leaning towards you while shaking my head, breaking the eye contact. I mumble quietly in a hopeless tone.

12:27 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "A lot... It is estimated that almost 1.000 people have become addicted to the drug B... And, in line with your calculations, approximately 100 people had psychotic breaks so far... Considering that this is just the beginning, that number is a lot..." I sigh deeply and lower my face a bit, rubbing my hands together. Then I finally manage to get enough courage to look into your eyes again, much more embarrassed now, with a weak smile, "You are thinking our government acted too late, huh?" I chuckle, and lean back on my chair once again. Trying to process all of those things in my mind, unlike you, my expression softens, almost like a little kid who is day dreaming. Then after a couple of seconds, maybe almost a minute later, I meet with your gaze again, and clear my throat before I start talking again.

12:27 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "So... Cutting off the snake's head, huh? Would you mind accompanying me to that warehouse then, "James"?" I smirk, unlike you, I consciously emphasized your name, thinking the distance between us is fading away fast, and I thought this would be a good start.

12:27 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "But you just had a long flight... Sorry, where are my manners? You want anything, drink, food? Probably you are tired?"

13:01 AgentJamesMason: I listen as you reply, nodding in sympathy as you recite the statistics. It's bad, but not yet as bad as London was. I can tell though, that this entire situation is hitting you hard. Really hard. My respect and attraction only grows as I see you rub your face, feeling how much this upsets you.

13:01 AgentJamesMason: I'm captivated by the play of emotion across your young face, in your mannerisms, I can sense how innocent and child-like you are in some ways.

13:01 AgentJamesMason: Then, you turn to me, and show me your hard side, your determination and training as you ask for my help to investigate that warehouse, deliberately using my first name. I chuckle, my face lighting up. "Of course Inspector, that's why I'm here. I'll be right at your side and we'll cut the snake's head off together."

13:01 AgentJamesMason: Then you mention something that is very much on my mind. A drink, some food, and some sleep.

13:01 AgentJamesMason: I wonder... My eyes sparkle, as I stand up, stretching my arms out and up to loosen the kinks from my long journey. "You know Kyle, I think some food and a stiff drink or two would be ideal, especially if you'd care to join me! And, I'm embarrassed to mention this, but I left in such a hurry that I didn't book a hotel room. Could you recommend someplace cheap I could stay? I'm on a tight budget. I think after a good meal and a good sleep we'll be ready to see what that warehouse has in store for us. Lead on Kyle!"

13:47 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Hearing your words, I nod to you, grinning, then raise up to my feet all of a sudden just like you, taking out my phone from my pocket. While the phone rings, I wink and continue in a soft tone, even while my attitude is determined and a bit commanding "Follow me Agent... I will take you on a tour of our beautiful Minneapolis... Welcome to America..." I turn my attention to the phone again while starting to walk towards the conference room door. Talking in a friendly tone with the guy on the phone "Hey Hank... How are you dude?.. Good... I see... Well, I was going to ask something... You owe me big, you know that... Hehehe... Listen, I have a guest who needs a place to stay..." I don't talk for a moment, it's clear that I am listening to the other side right now. But that doesn’t stop me from looking at your eyes with the same sparkling expression, mischief written across my face.

13:47 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: In the meantime, we arrive at my office and I finalize my call. "Thanks Hank... It really means a lot to me... Take care... I will visit you soon as well, don't worry..." I put my phone in my pocket while opening my office door, but I don't enter, just grab my black jacket from the coat hanger next to the door, and shrug it on. Afterwards, I lock the door.

13:47 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: I turn my face towards you, and lick my lips in satisfaction, almost piercing your soul with that confident gaze of mine. I take out a luxurious hotel card from my pocket, and offer that to you, and mumble while giving you a wink "Well... I have my own resources as well, agent... I am assuming staying for free is cheap enough, right?" I laugh, then continue "Don't ask why... He and I have our own reasons let's say..." I examine your face a little to understand your expression, and at the same time, by taking advantage of it, I watch your handsome features once again. You are really like a beautiful portrait to watch.

13:47 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Then I shake my head quickly, and start walking towards the entrance of the building, feeling your footsteps behind me. I arrive at my car, and open the door for you before taking my seat just like a gentleman "You're my savior angel today James, so today is kind of a gift for you from me..." I wink at you once more as you sit, then close the door, and take my driver seat as well. I crack my neck before running the car, then turn my gaze towards you again "Now... A more friendly bar? Or a luxurious restaurant?" It's a simple question, but the answer really tells a lot about a person’s personalities. I wait for your response curiously while I start driving.

14:41 AgentJamesMason: I laugh as you stand up, a laugh full of warmth, to make a call, welcoming me to the frozen hellhole that is Minneapolis.

14:41 AgentJamesMason: I grab my overcoat from the coat rack, and I follow closely behind you, listening to your half of the conversation with interest and amusement, especially as you turn to look at me, your eyes sparkling with mirth and mischief. Oh yes. I'm going to really enjoy working with Inspector Kyle Byrne. He is my kind of man.

14:41 AgentJamesMason: You finish your call with your friend Hank, and I realize, reading the nameplate above the office, we've reached your own personal office. You start to shrug on your black jacket, and I shrug on my overcoat.

14:41 AgentJamesMason: You turn to look at me as you lock your office on the way out, and those eyes, man those eyes... That look goes straight to my soul. This is a rare man. You hand me a card from a really posh hotel, and my eyes go wide. I look at you, and smile back, breaking into a wide grin, appreciation, and attraction, and delight mirrored in my expression.

14:41 AgentJamesMason: "You are too kind Inspector, too kind! This will make my mates back home jealous." I wink at you, reading into your statement about Hank and how you managed to get a free hotel room for me out of him. I have my suspicions.

14:41 AgentJamesMason: I reach out and give your shoulder a friendly clap and a squeeze, before following you out to your car, once again shivering as that icy arctic cold blasts us. Your courtesy is exquisite, as you open the passenger door for me. I slide into my seat as you slide into your drivers side seat.

14:41 AgentJamesMason: I grin as you tell me how today is a gift for me. So very generous. It's so easy to fall for your grace and charm. I let out a deep sigh, ready to put aside work for the evening and just relax. You ask me which I would prefer, and the answer is immediate. In my duties and travels, I have spent my fair share of time in the most luxurious restaurants and poshest casinos, among the rich and famous. But if I get to choose, give me a local pub, with simple food and good friends. You can learn more about a city by spending an hour in a local pub than a week in it's fanciest restaurant.

14:41 AgentJamesMason: "I tell you what Kyle, take me to your favorite local bar. I can get the fancy treatment back in London. Show me your city!"

15:11 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Hearing your answer, I burst into laughter as well, but that was a warm laugh, it felt right. You can sense that I liked the answer you give. A rare and precious reply for sure. Not everybody can understand the deepness of your sentence. Nodding to your answer without replying, I drove my car to my favorite local bar as you ordered.

15:11 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "Very well then... Here we are agent..." I mumble, then steal a quick glance at you with a smirk on my face before getting out of the car. We were in the middle of the city, the people were rushing around us, and the local bar I mentioned was in front of us, a simple building with a colorful entrance. I head inside.

15:11 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: It was a simple bar, there were some people inside, but it wasn't too crowded. Moving to one of the booths with black leather seats, I turn around myself to look at you, and start talking in a playful tone "Well... Not worthy of a big agent like you, but you asked for it..." I sit down and call the waiter with a wave of my hand.

15:11 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: The waiter approaches us with a smile "Oooo... Look what we have here... Long time no see Kyle..." I smile towards him as well, and reply with a friendly tone again, similar to the one with Hank "Hehe... Yeah... It's been awhile, I know. Being a detective brings some huge responsibilities as well Mark..." then I turn my gaze towards you, examining your beautiful eyes once more before opening my mouth again "I will just have a hot chocolate... But there is a guest that is waiting to taste your amazing food... Brian did his special today?" Mark just nods to my answer while examining "my" guest and gives you a menu. Then I lean towards you, and whisper impishly again "Burger slides with some onion rings? But maybe you prefer something else..." Then I lean back again and start watching you while you give your order, crossing arms on my chest.

16:09 AgentJamesMason: As we pull into your favorite watering hole, and step out, back into the freezing cold, I look up at the simple building, with its colorful sign and laughing, happy people walking up to the entrance. I follow you in, nodding approvingly, this is exactly my kind of place! Friendly, local, homegrown. I instantly feel welcome here. I take off my overcoat as we walk into the well-lit, comfortable interior.

16:09 AgentJamesMason: I follow you to the small booth with it's black leather seats, laying my overcoat down on the seat next to me as I sit down, shrugging out of my shoulder harness at the same time. I look over at you, seeing how much you are enjoying showing me a special piece of your city. I could lose myself just staring at your face, it's so expressive, you are so handsome. I find myself starting to get hard again. Damn.

16:09 AgentJamesMason: I listen to the interaction between you and the server, Mark. I can tell that you are well-connected in your community, and you have earned not only the respect, but the friendship of many. That speaks highly of the people skills your CV hinted at. I smile up at Mark as he hands me a menu, while you whisper your suggestion in my ear. I perk up, that sounds good. After a long flight with nothing but airplane food, I need something to balance it out!

16:09 AgentJamesMason: I turn towards Mark, my eyes flashing and a grin breaking on my face, "Bring me the burger slides and onion rings! And, let me have a pint of your finest local beer. Surprise me!!" I wink at him, as he takes the order and I turn back towards you, leaning back in my booth, and stretching my arms overhead, pushing my legs under the table, suddenly my heavy leg brushes yours, and again I feel that jolt of electricity at the contact. I slowly straighten up, catching your eye.

16:09 AgentJamesMason: I grin then, a wicked sort of grin, one that lets you know I am well aware of the mutual attraction sizzling in the air between us, and I am completely comfortable with it. I lean forward on my elbows, towards you as you sit across the table. My eyes are sparkling, and my muscles and arms fill out, stretching the fabric of my shirt.

16:09 AgentJamesMason: I decide to really push the limits of what is possible, but lead up to it casually, "I can tell that you are well-respected by the community here. You have such a way with people. I wish more policemen followed your example. Tell me, Kyle, do you have any family? A partner perhaps? Surely such a friendly, handsome man like yourself is bound to be spoken for."

17:58 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: I sense your leg caressing mine as you stretch it out, I look under the table to understand what happened, and seeing your leg, I grin lightly. that weird sensation surrounds me once again, that excitement in my body increases. Then I catch your evil grin, you lean towards me, and break the silence with a personal question, just as I was expecting. I was fully aware of your interest towards me, but who am I kidding? I was impressed by you as well. You were everyone's dream partner, your appearance, your style, your charisma... Everything was so right about you... But I knew that sudden beginnings would bring sudden ends as well. Besides, I didn't think about your relationship status either.

17:58 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: I watch you for a couple of seconds after your question, not answering directly, making you wonder about my answer while I slowly lean towards you as well, our faces are much closer now. With a smirk on my face, I examine your eyes, your nose, and your mouth in order. Then mumble, but in a sincere and friendly tone.

17:58 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "Well... I live with my Uncle... My parents passed away a long time ago, when I was really young. My maternal uncle, Tim, took care of me and raised me..." I laugh and shake my head in amusement as if something comes to my mind, then I look at you again "He is one of the most adorable people you could ever hope to meet... Funny... His dream was moving to London as well... He keeps trying to convince me to move out there, but... I don't know..."

17:58 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Then I crack my neck once again, and stretch my arms in the air, taking a deep breath, I look at you once again. In a much more serious tone, but still warm "And... No... I don't have a partner... Not at the moment..." I lock my eyes on yours "Haha... Want me to tell you a secret? I only had one relationship, in the academy... And... It was nothing more than a "close" friendship if you ask me now that I think about it..."

17:58 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Then I tilt my head to the side, I ask you in a mischievous tone "Your turn... How many hearts you have stolen till this time, Agent? And is your partner jealous about it?" I giggle, I am almost so sure that you have a partner, thinking about your age and your experience, the people you met, there was no possibility in my mind that you are single. I was not sure in the beginning of our conversation, but after asking this question, I am almost sure that you have a partner.

18:58 AgentJamesMason: I ask my daring, invasive question, so completely un-British of me, and yet you had smitten me so completely with your charm that you pushed aside all my British sensibilities to ask such a direct question.

18:58 AgentJamesMason: I lean back, and just let myself get lost in the sound of your voice,I listen to you as you lean in towards me, taking your time to respond, carried away as you describe your situation with your uncle. I take in the sight of you cracking your neck, and stretching your arms. My heart beats stronger.

18:58 AgentJamesMason: I think for a moment of Captain Nick Wilson, the brave, strong American commando who accompanied me on that harrowing mission to destroy the Syndicate weapons depot in Scotland. Of the time we spent together in Edinburgh, of that special night, of the special relationship we had forged.

18:58 AgentJamesMason: And I realized that here, right now, in front of me was another man, so different from Nick Wilson, and yet who had managed to rock my world in such a short time.

18:58 AgentJamesMason: For some reason, my heart beats just a bit faster as you mention the possibility of moving to London. What the fuck? I sternly reprimand myself. I've only just met this man. Why should I react like that? I know I've only just met him... but, there is something about him.

18:58 AgentJamesMason: I continue listening as you answer my question, no partner, but one special relationship at the academy. And then, once more exhibiting your deep experience and training in reading and knowing your fellow man, you ask me the same question. I smile, and swipe through my phone, showing you a picture of the proud, strong, heavily muscled Captain Nick Wilson. I describe in great detail the events surrounding our meeting, and how we bonded. (https://venus.chatfighters.com/story/46356) When I am finished with my long story, my food has arrived, along with your hot chocolate.

18:58 AgentJamesMason: I finish up by saying, my eyes directly locked on yours, "Nick is an amazing man, but both of us, in spite of, or perhaps because of, our line of work, realize that life is short, and when you meet another who really touches you, you have to seize the moment. He would approve, hell he'd be with me if he wasn't on assignment elsewhere."

18:58 AgentJamesMason: I reach out, snaking my hand through the maze of beer, hot chocolate, and burgers and onion rings, to suddenly grab your hand, and look straight into your eyes.

20:23 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: You show me the man who touched your heart. He was really attractive as well, just like you. And if I have to be honest, you were matched with him perfectly, it almost seemed like soulmates. I nod to the picture on the screen, then I start to listen to your story of how you met him, the adventures you have been through together, all of them were breath-taking, amazing. And the bond between you was truly astonishing. I hear out your speech till the end of it.

20:23 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Afterwards, you talk about seizing the moment, and I look at your face a bit confused. I actually understand what you mean, but I didn't know that feeling, I never had a "true" bond with another soul, even with the guy I dated back then in the academy. I just sigh and nod in response to your words with a weak grin on my face.

20:23 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Then you suddenly reach for my hand, and I feel my heart beating hard, I feel like I am starting to sweat, and I lick my lips in desperation, but still, somehow, you force me to look into your eyes. I can't break that eye contact for quite some time. I am the one who usually plays with the people, but being in that position feels so strange. I really feel like I can't control myself. Even my cock twitches a bit as well.

20:23 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: I slowly move my fingers to touch your hand, caressing your palm with my fingertips very shortly before I pull my hand back, I don't know why. Maybe I didn't want you to betray the relationship with your captain, even after your words. Maybe I didn't want to rush things this quickly. Maybe I just didn't find myself worthy enough which is cataclysmic since I never felt like that before. Maybe I was scared or maybe a mixture of everything. But I did it, maybe it was rude of me or I acted like a coward. But one thing for sure, I couldn't handle that pressure for that time at least.

20:23 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: I inhale and exhale hard before making eye contact again, bite my lip in embarrassment, but I quickly put another smile on my face, fake or sincere, I didn't know. But what I know is that just because an attractive guy distracted me doesn't mean that I was going to be down for the night. I open my mouth again, trying to change the subject, but we both realize my voice is shaking and excited at the same time. And I don't know how much I can continue like that though.

20:23 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "What about your family? Any brothers, sisters? Parents?" I reach for my hot chocolate cup, but I don't drink, just play with it with my fingers.

03:45 AgentJamesMason: I feel your hand in mine, and look deep into your eyes. That electricity ripples between us, as I read the confusion and uncertainty in your expression. I can feel your pulse racing as my hand touches yours, as my eyes gaze into yours. You are feeling the full effects of my powerful personality directed at you, giving you perhaps a taste of your own medicine, though that wasn't my intention.

03:45 AgentJamesMason: Your fingers slowly stroke my palm, then you pull your hand back. I lean back in my seat, and then I understand. You are young, and you haven't yet been through the fire, haven't yet faced a true life and death situation like I have. Those kinds of situations teach you that life is short, too short to be anything less than sincere. For all your poise and skill with people, you still had some learning to do. I backed off, gave you a friendly smile to let you know everything was good between us, and dialed down my intensity.

03:45 AgentJamesMason: I realize that the full power of my unfiltered personality had really shook you, you weren't quite ready for it. I grab my beer and take a sip, then tuck into my burger sliders and onion rings, damn I was hungry. I would be patient with you though, and see how things turned out, let you come to terms with the attraction between us in your own time. Another thing that life and death situations taught a man was how to be patient.

03:45 AgentJamesMason: In between bites of my delicious meal, I pull out my phone, and show you a picture of my younger brother, Sam. (https://venus.chatfighters.com/characters/Corporal_Sam_Mason) "My brother Sam, he's about your age. He's always looked up to me. In some ways, since our father died, I've become like a dad to him." My hard, handsome features soften as I talk about my brother. "He joined the SAS, determined to follow in my footsteps. He's a tough bastard, strong, loyal, and capable of achieving anything he sets his mind to. We both take after our father." My grin is cocky as I put my phone away and finish my meal. Deliberately trying to put you at ease after the intensity I unleashed on you.

03:45 AgentJamesMason: I lean back, pushing away my empty plate and empty pint of beer with a contented sigh. "Well Kyle, I think I'm ready for some sleep. Shall we plan on heading over to that warehouse first thing tomorrow morning?" Tomorrow I would get the chance to see how this handsome, clever detective that I couldn't keep my eyes off handled danger.

05:50 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: You still smile at me after I pulled my hand away, which was making me feel a bit better, at least you showed an understanding. Well, what was I thinking? You were an experienced tough fighter, and you probably faced many people. Even if you may not have a gift for empathy like me, life forced you to read people's souls at some point.

05:50 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: My smile widens as you show and start talking about your brother. He was really cute, just like you. And probably lucky for having a brother like you, a model, an idol in front of him. And I was right, the more you talk and tell about yourself, the more I am connecting to you, faster than I would have imagined possible.

05:50 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: I grin as you finally push your plate away, and tell me that you are ready to head out. In the meantime, because I was so lost in your voice and stories, I didn't even touch my hot chocolate. With a big, wide, sincere smile, I nod to you, and quickly stand up. I take out my wallet, and head to the cashier. After talking with him for a little, and giving him some money, I return to our table and grab my jacket.

05:50 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "Very well then Agent... Let's see what tomorrow will bring to us... Come on..."

05:50 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Then I head out to the entrance once again, feeling you behind me. I open your door once more before I sit in the driver seat. During the journey, we don't talk. Maybe we are processing today in our minds, well, at least I was doing it. Even though I met with you just today, you felt so right, so perfect, almost like a dream.

05:50 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Finally we stop in front of Hank's luxurious hotel, and I turn my gaze towards you, smile sincerely and eyes sparkling again, watching this handsome face and body one last time for today. The more I watch you, the more my expression gets softer.

05:50 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "Once you tell them your fake name that I created for you, "Simon Runner", they will show you your room." I wink at you with a mischievous smile "You didn't think I would risk my agent by telling your true name, right? Even if this place is safe... We are talking about the Syndicate."

05:50 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Then my tone gets more deep, but somehow soft at the same time. I lock my eyes with yours and whisper. "Thanks for today James... It’s been a long time since I’ve had this much fun." And I was meaning it.

06:16 AgentJamesMason: I grab my overcoat as you stand up, reaching for my wallet to pay for the meal, but you don't give me the chance. I nod at you, "Thanks Kyle for the meal, you didn't have to do that." I pull out some American money from my wallet, and leave a generous tip on the table for Mark as I pull on my overcoat, and follow you back out to the car.

06:16 AgentJamesMason: At this point, I'm exhausted, and ready for some sleep. The jet lag was really hitting me, and I needed to be at 100% for tomorrow. I just lean back, content to be silent for the journey to the hotel. I began to go over what I would need for tomorrow's mission, and glanced over at you once. I caught the sight of your handsome face in profile as you navigated the city streets. My throat caught at the sight, once again struck by how much I was attracted to you. I savored that feeling, content to let you decide when and if anything came of it. I had let you know how I felt and how okay I was with whatever might come of it. The rest was up to you.

06:16 AgentJamesMason: Tomorrow we would face danger together. After that, who knows what might happen? Nothing brought men closer together than risking their lives together.

06:16 AgentJamesMason: The car pulls to a stop in front of a luxurious hotel. My eyes go wide, realizing how much this must have cost someone! I grin, and step out of the car walking around the hood to say goodbye to you for the night.

06:16 AgentJamesMason: I laugh as you tell me what my assumed name is, Simon Runner, for this hotel. Definitely a man who knows his trade. Then, you tell me how much you enjoyed spending the evening with me. Your voice is deep and soft, and your eyes tell me exactly how you feel as you say it. The attraction hangs between us, thick in the air.

06:16 AgentJamesMason: I grin at you, "Thank you Kyle. You really made this Brit feel welcome in America. And tomorrow evening, that's on me. I'll meet you here tomorrow at 7am, then. Sleep well Inspector!"

06:16 AgentJamesMason: I hold your gaze for a moment longer, savoring the attraction we share, then stand up and enter the hotel.

06:16 AgentJamesMason: The staff lead "Simon Runner" to my room. I made a call to the courier service from the airport, arranging to have my luggage delivered tomorrow morning. Then I crash, exhausted, falling asleep, slipping into a dream where you, me, and Nick were all relaxing and laughing together in a giant hot tub.

06:16 AgentJamesMason: I woke up at 6am, feeling refreshed as someone knocked at my door. I answer, in my underwear, and the courier gets a glimpse of my thick, hairy muscle as I slip him a tip and my thanks, taking my luggage. Checking first to make sure the lock is intact and nothing has been tampered with. Then, after a hot shower and quick cup of coffee with a protein bar to give me the energy I'll need for today, I open the luggage, and get geared up.

06:16 AgentJamesMason: I wear a pair of faded, ordinary jeans, then pull on a simple white t-shirt that shows off my thickly muscled build to perfection. I lace up a heavy pair of doc marten boots, with steel toes. Then, I strap on my tactical harness around my shoulder, holstering my Glock pistol, then from my luggage, I add a taser, a lockpicking kit, a combat knife, some ziptie in case we take a prisoner, and a small medical kit for emergencies to my harness. I nod, feeling ready.

06:16 AgentJamesMason: I slip on my overcoat to conceal my warlike gear, then head outside to get a breath of the freezing cold fresh air, and wait for you to pick me up.

07:01 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: I laugh hard as you close the passenger door, you really have a unique charisma that can't be ignored. Thinking about your glance and eyes while driving home, I can feel that I am smiling like a dummy.

07:01 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Then I arrive at home, and go straight to the bed. It was going to be a hell of a journey. And now that I think about it, even though I have some experience at my job, I have never risked my life "directly" or even if I did, they weren't big risks. Maybe this adventure was going to help me understand what you meant. With these thoughts, I slowly lose consciousness. The last thing I remember was your beautiful gaze before I went to sleep.

07:01 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: I woke up 5.30 am, stretching in the bed for quite some time, then got up quickly, and prepared myself for the big day. This was huge for me. You were the first one who supported my assumption in this case. I take a deep breath, as I firstly wear light blue jeans, then put on a tight but warm, white sweater. I put on my tactical black boots, and start thinking about my weapons. I put my dual pistols in my tactical leg harness, planning to hide them with the jacket that I am going to put on. Afterwards, I put a combat knife, but usually that is more for utility and a little dagger type, holster it up. I take my nightstick, and holster it up as well, next to my waist this time. Then I finally put my handcuffs on my belt as well, taking a deep breath. Seems like I was ready to go. I take a small first aid kit to put in my jacket's pocket.

07:01 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Then I quickly take a jacket from my wardrobe again, a little bit longer compared to the one I wore yesterday but black again that can hide my guns, and quickly head to my car. Excited that I am going to see you again, I start the car and go to Hank's hotel once again. I was in front of the building at 6.55 am, right where I left you yesterday. But you were already there. I quickly invite you to my car, and grin as you sit on the seat.

07:01 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "Morning Agent... Had a nice sleep?" I ask in a friendly tone, waiting for your reply, then try to explain the place we are going to while I start driving again.

07:01 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "Like I mentioned, it's an abandoned warehouse that sometimes homeless people are hanging around, but usually they don't go inside, or even if they go, they usually wander in the entrance area. It's a big building, and I don't know what you think about it... But..." I chuckle in satisfaction before I continue "For some reason, many people think it is haunted, so usually no one goes deep inside. But still, I don't know what we are going to face there..." Then I turn my gaze towards you with curious eyes but a sincere smile. "Anything that bothers you or you wanna ask?"

07:12 AgentJamesMason: I grin at you, giving you a friendly wave as you pull up outside the hotel, swinging around to the passenger side door and getting myself comfortably seated. I nod at your question, "Great sleep. The hotel room was extremely comfortable!" I take a moment to look you over, noticing again your warm smile, and tone of voice, feeling the attraction all over again.

07:12 AgentJamesMason: You tell me about the warehouse, and I concentrate, focusing on the mission. Then you ask me if I have any questions, "It definitely has all the markings of being the kind of place the Syndicate likes to base their operations out of. Deserted, inconspicuous, a place that most people avoid. You said you intercepted a communication from London to this warehouse? That's what made you so suspicious about it?"

07:31 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: I nod at your question, not looking at you but approving with my gestures. I clear my throat and start talking in a more serious tone, while still focusing on the road.

07:31 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "Indeed... I mean, if you look at it in "just" that way, it may sound stupid, because like I told you, the other two big drug dealer families also have a connection with London... But it's not just something specific, they have lots of connections all around the world, Europe, Middle East, even Africa..."

07:31 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: I breathe deep before I continue my speech "This one... Foremost, as I told you before, it started it's communication with London around the same day drug B started to spread around your city. And secondly, it only communicates with a few places along with London. Berlin, Kabil and so on. I didn't have time to check the other places as well, but they are really disparate location, so "someone" needs to connect them..."

07:31 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: I check your face before I continue my talking, give you a weak smile, then focus my attention on the road again. "And finally, maybe the biggest thing, is that... I mean, I couldn't finish the process as well since my department was forcing me to focus on different things... But... Every time a psychotic break was reported in London, we intercepted a communication to the warehouse in question within 24 hours of the report. I did not review all the recorded reports in London, but at least the reports I checked certainly confirmed it." And in the meantime, we arrive at the warehouse that I am talking about.

07:53 AgentJamesMason: I listen as you explain in detail what led you to suspect this warehouse. As you explain, I'm watching the city pass by outside, the buildings gradually become more abandoned and in disrepair, more graffiti decorated the walls, even the snow on the ground became grimier and dirtier the further we went. My face took on an intense, hard cast as I prepared myself for a dangerous situation, slipping into what I called "combat mode", becoming hyper aware of my surroundings, noticing every small detail.

07:53 AgentJamesMason: You described the final connection, linking together this warehouse with at least some of the psychotic breaks as they were reported in London. I nodded grimly, just as you pulled up near the warehouse. "That was some very good detective work, Inspector. It may have made our job that much easier."

07:53 AgentJamesMason: The warehouse is tall, and large, covering most of a city block. The pavement around it is cracked, covered in dirty snow. There are some fires burning in a few barrels scattered about, surrounded by homeless people. I knew it was fully possible some of them might be spotters for the Syndicate operation. The walls were covered in graffiti, and many of the windows on the corrugated steel and concrete walls were broken. The ground was littered with trash, half covered in the dirty snow.

07:53 AgentJamesMason: Before you open the door, I reach out my hand and put it on your shoulder, "I know you haven't been in a lot of combat situations yet Kyle, but as you probably know, I have. If the Syndicate is in that warehouse, then combat is a real possibility. We will of course call for backup in that case, but there might be some rough times before they arrive. This is your territory, your city, and I'm not trying to take over, but your safety is important to me. Your city needs you far more than it needs me, so how about you let me take the lead when we enter the warehouse?" I smile at you warmly, reaching out to give your shoulder a friendly squeeze, trying to make sure you don't interpret my request as an insult to your training.

08:12 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: As you approve of my work, I chuckle to myself. None of the administration listened to me in the end, but you did. It really felt amazing to be validated by someone, especially if he is also an expert about the situation. I then examine the building just like you did, watching homeless people, and observing the old building.

08:12 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Then I try to get out of the car, but your hand on my shoulder stops me. I listen to your words carefully, and smile back at you. Your worry really makes me feel like I am worthy enough for this mission. And definitively, I didn't take that as an interpretation of my work. I nod to you, and show you my police radio that is standing on my belt, you probably can realize my nightstick and my guns as well. However, I answer back in a determined tone.

08:12 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: "I understand James. You know the Syndicate better than me, and yeah, even though I have been in combat. it's definitely not as brutal as you have experienced." I sigh, I did my detective job, now I needed to accept that you needed to do your agent work as well. "I will call back - up once we are sure this is a part of the Syndicate, ok? Everything should turn out fine."

08:12 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Then I got out of the car, and looked at you while you stood up as well. Before closing the door, I talk in a gentle tone "And James... Your safety is important for me too, so you are going to watch out as well... I will be right behind you when you need me..." I nod to you once more and slowly approach you.

08:12 Inspector_Kyle_Byrne: Yeah, I was going to follow you up, no matter what, and protect you at all costs. I am waiting for your next move while I check up on my weapons one last time. And something was telling me that it was going to be an impressive journey that I have never experienced before.

That is one hell of a part 1, gents!! That "date," if I may call it that, was beautiful and genuine. Loved every second of it!
