The Karmic Cycle 2

Starring
Scorp (deleted member)

I am a retired assassin who’s taken a turn from the old ways and is now living a simple life. I was silently reading a book on my balcony when I felt a strange energy looming around my house; a presence, a shadow perhaps, which would have been unnoticed by the mundane. I rise to my feet and slowly make my way towards the house, and make my way towards the hall, where above it rests a Katan made by a famous swordsmith from Japan. The same katana with which I have killed several of my targets. Taking it off the stand along with my Tanto, I make my way towards the back door, which leads to a lake, not before pressing a distress button. Yt

Tommy Guerrero
Sitting patiently on the branch of a tree in the pitch black darkness, I silently watch you like a predator watching prey. You're reading a book, which is actually the perfect time to kill you, and I slowly remove the poison dart from my shirt and place the tube into my mouth, ready to shoot it towards you, but I frown as you silently get up and swiftly move inside the house. Throwing away the dart, I keep an eye on your movements and see that you're reaching for your katana. 'Perhaps he’s sensed my presence’ I smile at your acute scene, knowing that you are an intense assassin yourself, and I slowly follow you, my own katana at the ready.

Scorp
Dressed in my jeans and t-shirt, sitting quietly near the still lake watching the full moon reflecting on the dark black surface, with small minor ripples, the sounds of crickets filling the pin-drop silence of the night. My face is perfectly still as I stare into the reflected full moon, looking into the black surface, remembering all of my life's events, each ripple transporting me to a new memory. On my lap rests a katana locked up in a black shiny saya with a thick black sageo... without a tsuba the tsuka with a black tsuka ito… Suddenly, on the sound of a broken twig, a side smile appears on my face and, without turning towards the direction of the sound, I simply say, "I must say, your stealth isn’t very professional." Trying to get inside your head yt

Tommy Guerrero
You are sitting there silently on the lake's shore, watching the glassy surface of the lake reflect the full moon, and as I move towards you, I stand right behind you. Wearing black running tights and compression shirt and soft soled shoes like some modern ninja having followed you to this lake, I hear your taunt and smirking. I retort, "There is no where to run now, Scorp. Recognize this moon, this date, this time, and this sword." If not poetic justice, I don’t know what it is! "Your end is here," and I unsheathe my katana from its saya, the cold steel catching glints off the moon on its silvery blade. I see your black saya and remember it well when you killed my brother years ago.

Scorp
I rise to my feet and turn to face you. Having seen you sloppily hiding outside my house, I decided to take it to the lake where it all happened. I examine you from head to toe, clearly under the light of the full moon. I smile, and as soon as I see your katana and see that your saya is already resting on the ground a few feet away, a sly grin appears on my face. "If you don't need your katana anymore, it means you have already chosen death." I raise my head, "that is his blade indeed," I say as I slowly get out of my shoes and push them to the side. "Whatever happened between me and your brother wasn’t personal, it was professional, a simple contract, and I apologise for that, but what you are doing now is personal, is it not?" Please, I urge you to refrain from this path as one of the laws of Karma says, "History repeats itself until we learn from it and change it." I tried to divert your anger and tried to reason with you before the fight, wanting to end it without unsheathing my katana. Yt

Tommy Guerrero
I finger the tsuka ito along my brother's sword, the white chord still stained with his dried blood. I smirk as you try to deflect my anger. "The 12 laws of Karma eh! Well, that’s just one you dictated. Let me tell you one more. Whatever we put into the universe will come back to us. Do you think you could retire and not have your former employers hire someone to kill you? This is a professional contract killing...just like the one you took against my brother, who was just trying to unionise the dock workers. The joy I will feel when I kill you...that will be personal. It reminds me of one more law of Karma. The more valuable rewards require patience. " I say, as I raise my katana up, pointing it towards you, bending down at my knees, I say, " When you meet a swordsman, draw your sword. Do not recite poetry to one who is not a poet. " I run at you, the dirt from the lake kicking up in a flurry as I approach, raising my blade and swinging it down across your chest. Yt

Scorp
In that case, one must accept something in order to change it, "I can say and see you running towards me in full rage, raising my sheeted katana over my face, my right hand tightly gripping the tsuka, while the saya in my left. As soon as you come in and swing your katana across my chest, I open up my katana, pulling it out of the saya and exposing the silvery blade. As I manage to block your attack, I take a few steps back, I pull the saya off slowly, exposing the silvery steel to the moonlight, which makes it shine. "one more law of karma states WE MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT IS IN OUR LIVES, unsheeted swords always warrant the taste of blood..I hope you are prepared for what might happen, since I am prepared for it as well. " Yt

Tommy Guerrero
I have been preparing for it since the day I met you. And remember one more law of Karma: THE PAST, THE PRESENT, AND THE FUTURE ARE ALL CONNECTED. I step toward you and swing my sword in a smooth figure 8, never once letting it shake. I spin it again and slash it in a clean slice across your thigh, cutting open your jeans in a spray of blood and then slashing up in another tight arc, cutting your shirt open down the middle without drawing blood. Yt

Scorp
Taking a few steps back and avoiding the swinging sword, I manage to block the figure of eight until your sword slices through my thigh, cutting open the jeans with a spray of blood, and then a slice across my shirt tearing it up... Smirking i rip the shirt out and digging my katana into the earth, I tie the shirt over my thigh to stop the bleeding, all the time keeping an eye on you as I mumble "there is one more law where it’s said that YOU CANNOT BE PRESENT IF WE ARE CONSTANTLY LOOKING BEHIND" and then I raise up, wincing in pain I grab my katana and stand there straight with my katana pointing downwards breathing calmly ready for you yt

Tommy Guerrero
Having successfully injured you, a sly smirk appears on my face and I hold my katana aloft. I feel my heartbeat quicken. With the cold air flowing from between us, I watch as you dictate another one of your stupid laws. I let you tie your wound properly. I was not ready to attack you, as I know you are extremely swift with the katana and it might be a trick to lure me in. After you raise your hand, taking your katana in your hand, I slowly step toward you and slash in tight arcs from the left and right, pushing you back toward the lake, where I know the muddy floor might trap your feet. Yt

Scorp
"Anger is a double-edged sword, and it generally cuts the one who yields it the deepest." Seeing you come towards me slashing widely in tight arcs, I simply take one step back and go down on my right knee as I swing my katana in a clean tangential arch right across your knee, attempting to slice across your right knee ligament below your knee cap while you are distracted with the arcs.yt

Tommy Guerrero
I see you drop down too late and feel a burning pain as you sever my ligament in my right knee cap. YYYYAAAAAGGGGHHHHHH A small spurt of blood drips onto the lakeshore, and I stagger away, trying to stay upright. I am raising my katana at you just in case you decide to attack me. My body is sweating, I look down and check the wound on my leg and try to assess the damage to it. Yt

Scorp
My face is still and emotionless, but as I see you stagger behind, a soft smile appears over my face and my eyes start to glitter at the site of blood. Old habits seldom die. I smirk and slowly get up from my kneeling position, placing more pressure on my uninjured leg, as I watch you stagger away and swing my katana in a circular arch, splattering the blood off it as I let you regain your composure, extending the same courtesy to you which you did to me. Yt

Tommy Guerrero
I'm hissing at the pain yet keeping an eye on you. I see you're not making any moves and are allowing me to regain my composure. My thighs tighten, and I shift my weight to my left foot. calming my pain with my breath as I hold my sword up, the tip arching up toward your heart. Pushing off to my left, I attempt to slice at your navel using the sharp kissaki point. Yt

Scorp
After you regain your composure and shift your body weight, I smile and raise my own Katana up and I see you raising your sword up as well. The only sounds in the silent night being the ripples of the water, a distant chirping of the owl, and the rusting of the leaves. I grip the Tsuka ito tightly as I see you nearing and As soon as you perform a forward thrust towards my navel i swing my Blade in a circular arch, and manage to parry the thrust of your blade, and while I am completing the circle i attempt to slice it across your shoulder as I pull my katana down yt

Tommy Guerrero
I see your katana bearing down on my shoulder and roll in the opposite direction, evading your slice and getting up onto my left leg. My thighs are pumping as it bears my entire body weight. I drop down to the ground and roll my head up toward you, slicing my katana across the back of your left knee. Yt

Scorp
The darkness of the night cloaks your movements. I don’t realise until too late that you have headrolled until a stinging pain radiates over the back of my left knee. I grunt out in pain and attempt to slice on the ground, swinging at trying to hit your body or any part of it. And then I raise my katana up across my chest, the sharp edge pointing towards you, ready for a final showdown between us. Yt

Tommy Guerrero
I swing my katana to deflect your first blow and rise quickly to my feet. I raise my Katana up across my chest, placing the cutting edge towards you and ready for the final showdown. I come into your body, our blades meeting each other, the metal sparking as I lean into you, chests shoved up against one another. I am grunting and hissing as we are in a deadly lockup. Yt

Scorp
Both of us are locked in the deadly push, both swords facing each other, each of us trying to push the other off balance, knowing that my left leg injury won’t be able to keep up with the push. I look into your face, the metal shining and reflecting across your face. Your eyes show a deep malice, and I growl. I send out a push kick aiming towards your abs as I attempt to shove you away while trying to slice the sword across your chest. Yt

Tommy Guerrero
uGHHaGHHHHH I let out a growl as you shoved me away and cut a slice across my chest. The compression shirt cut open and exposed my bare chest underneath. I staggered back onto my right leg and collapsed on my back. landing with a thud on the sandy shore. Yt

Scorp
I slowly move towards you limping with my katana raised up high pointing the sharp kissaki point towards you "you took up the contract on your own risk and added passion into your kill and that is where you were wrong...that is what flooded your mind and stopped your judgement and now your down on your back at the mercy of the same person who killed your own brother" I say as I place the sword over your heart yt

Tommy Guerrero
My chest heaves as you place the sword up against my heart. I look up at you in defiance. "I never asked for mercy...only the chance to kill you." I pull my katana and lunge forward, aiming to stab the kissaki of my blade into your abs while at the same time letting your katana cut into my pecs a few inches. Yt

Scorp
Grunting out as your blade goes into my abs eyes wide and in shock yet I see my own katana piercing through your chest a few inches falling short of the heart, both of us locked in the death lock as our swords have pierced through our bodies i smile looking down at you, as blood drips through my mouth. And I push my sword deep into your chest piercing your heart as I feel it stopped by your spine "well then we live by our swords and we die by the swords” I say as I wince and pull myself off your sword grabbing onto my wound tightly to stop it from bleeding smiling as i weakly stay up on my feet looking at my wound to see if your katana had pierced any vital blood vessel, and then slowly drop down to my knees tired and weary yt

Tommy Guerrero
HUKKKKK My eyes go wide as your katana slices into my chest and up to my spine, cutting my heart in two. I grimace as I fall back onto the lake shore dropping my brother's katana onto the ground. Blood flows freely out of the hole in my pec, pumping out in short bursts as my heart flails to keep me alive. My eyes stare up at the night sky and my lips quiver, "Brother...I...tried...'' I sigh out and my body convulses as my heart stops, muscles shaking and tensing in one final act of life, and then I lie on the ground limp as my head tilts toward you, vacant eyes staring up at your bleeding abs. Yt

Scorp
I gulp and taste my own blood as I see you die slowly, after which I close my eyes as the realisation hits me that this was not a professional or a contract kill from my side, but my attempt to fight for my life against a person whose loved one I had killed. I look down towards my abdomen and examine the wound. Luckily, the fates had decided to spare my life this time, as no major organs or blood vessels were damaged. I hear the sound of sirens from a distance; ‘the response team has arrived’. And soon the entire area is flooded by car lights. With the blood loss taking its toll, my body flops to the side and I slowly turn myself to face the sky. The full moon was shining right over my face. A smile appears as I see the moon shining in its beauty. Then I start to see two moons as my vision slowly fades. The last sight was that of my dear friend who answered my distress call. "Hey, Will! I will! I got you, buddy. Don’t worry, we are taking you to the hospital".

Definitely not a normal chatfighter story.
It is brutally deadly, poetic like a Japanese poem and gives karma when read. ;-)
You both know what you're doing, your fight is really well choreographed and impressively written and your karma gives the whole plot a new level of complexcity.
This fight was really well made and I enjoyed reading it very much.
