A Noir Story: Hana & Chanyota - The Debut

Starring
Hana_Jeong: Friday night in New York City hits different. I lean against the brick wall near the backdoor of the Hammerstein Ballroom, taking a slow, quiet drag from a cigarette to clear my head. The cool alley air burns off the last bit of pre-show noise before I crush the butt under my boot and step inside. The backstage area is already buzzing, but since I got here early, the locker room is quiet when I push the door open. You aren't here yet. At 22 years old, I’ve already been through enough wars in the ring to feel like a seasoned veteran. To me, tonight is just another match, another paycheck, another fight. But there’s a distinct spark to this one. I'm stepping into the ring alongside you—the towering, gentle Japanese bodybuilder who carries such a wild, mysterious past. Behind that massive physical frame is a woman who’s lived ten lives already, and I realize I really want to get to know you better. I pull on my white athletic top, tighten my gear, adjust my kickpads, and lace my boots tight. Once I'm locked in, I sit calmly in front of the vanity mirror, taking my time with my makeup

Chanyotaaa: That afternoon, I arrive early at the strength training room. I grip nearly every barbell on the mats, constantly pushing my muscle limits—because tonight isn't just about me. Whether intentionally or not, I have dragged Hana into this mess, so I can't afford to be the weak link in this match. From the initial weight training to the final exhausted roar, I have to expend every last drop of my strength in my workout. I know my limits, and I also know what I can do with this pushed‑to‑the‑limit muscular body a few hours later. After I shower again and put on my gear to head backstage, Hana is already there, calmly fixing herself up. I still feel uneasy about the two bullies tonight. I walk over, quietly coming up behind you—the mirror reflects my body in front of yours. "Good evening, Hana. You're here early." I fidget, rubbing my hands together, my palms sweaty with nervousness. I look down at my boots. When you get involved in some personal grudge because of me, I've never felt so unconfident about this ring.

Hana_Jeong: "Hey, Chanyota!" I turn around in my chair, setting my makeup brush down on the vanity table to take you in. Seeing your towering frame reflected in the mirror behind me is impressive as always, but I can instantly read the heavy tension rolling off your shoulders. "You made it! Are you ready?" I ask, my voice light and confident. I can practically feel the waves of nervousness radiating from you, from the way you're fidgeting to how you're avoiding eye contact with your boots. It's clear you've been overthinking everything and burning up nervous energy all afternoon. I stand up from my chair, step right into your space, and look up into your eyes with a calm, steady smile. "Listen to me, sister," I say, resting a hand gently on your massive shoulder. " I want you to know that You didn't drag me into anything. I chose to be here. Tonight we are doing a statement. So s get your mind right, and let's go out there and tear those two bitches apart together, okay?"

Chanyotaaa: "Sis... Sister....!" My god, I never thought you would call me that—it flatters me. The last one who called me that was Misaki. That woman gave me all the perfect protection she could offer. Will Hana be like that tonight? Am I destined to remain nothing but a muscular showpiece? Do I make people fear me because of my build, yet in the end I keep needing one skinny girl after another to protect me? "I get it, Hana! I'll do my best!" I say in a firm and positive tone, refusing to be the little sister in the wrestling ring. "Let's get started. If they do anything out of line, stay behind me! I've got this!" I grip your hand tightly and give you a determined look, showing you that I will give everything I have in this ring.

Hana_Jeong: When you tell me to stay behind you, I narrow my eyes slightly, looking up at you with a mix of amusement and suspicion. I appreciate the protectiveness, but I'm no damsel in distress. I've spent years in brutal rings across Japan, Europe and now USA, taking hits from opponents twice as ruthless as the two brats waiting for us out there. Fearless is just part of my DNA at this point. I smirk, pulling my hand back from your tight grip and giving your massive shoulder a solid, encouraging pat. "Stay behind you?" I tease, letting out a light chuckle. I grab a bottle from the table, drink some water, and start walking to the backstage corridor. Positioned right behind the heavy red curtain, I begin doing some quick dynamic stretches to warm up my legs and shoulders, watching the entrance lights flicker as the energy of the Hammerstein crowd hums on the other side.

Chanyotaaa: Whether you are accepting my offer or turning me down, I'm not sure. The next thing I see is a confident, high-energy girl ready to shine in this ring. I turn around, facing the direction we entered from, and I can already hear some boos coming from the crowd. That's when I realize that Alisha and Tessa have already been in the arena for a while. 'Now, you can all shut up...' — that's Alisha's disgusting, hoarse, arrogant voice. 'Do you really think your two Asian kittens can get any advantage in here? That skinny one, Hana — I find her too light even to use as a barbell...' As she finishes, Tessa chimes in with perfectly timed, mocking, rude laughter, and the whole crowd starts booing loudly, chanting our names. 'Heyyy hey hey, and also, you idiots — Chanyota? What kind of name is that? Oh, that clueless sheriff who keeps messing up our plans? Her muscles make a great cushion for me to sit on! You know what? They're too scared to even come out and face us right now!' Those two bastards seem to be trying to turn the crowd against us, but instead, the chants for me and Hana keep growing louder. I look at Hana with determination. 'It's time, Hana. Let's go...'

Hana_Jeong: I nod at you with a sharp, fearless smile. Before those two can spit another word into the microphone, your entrance music hits the Hammerstein Ballroom speakers, instantly drowning out Alisha's voice. The crowd erupts into a massive cheer, chanting our names as the arena lights pulse around us. We step through the red curtain, and I walk right at your side down the aisle. Next to me, you look like an absolute force to be reckoned with , a wall of sheer muscle and intensity. Ever since my intense feud with Lauren, I've left behind my over-the-top, hyperactive entrances. Now, I carry a quiet, dangerous composure, casually high-fiving a few fans reaching over the guardrails on my way down. I slide smoothly under the bottom rope, popping up inside the ring. I wait just a second for you to step through the ropes, using the distraction to sprint to the corner. I vault up onto the top turnbuckle, throw my arms out to the screaming NYC crowd, and launch into a beautiful, crisp backflip into the center of the ring. I land effortlessly, turning around to lock eyes with a stunned Alisha and Tessa.

Chanyotaaa: I grab the ropes in the usual way and flip myself over into the canvas, watching Hana land in a perfect arc right in front of me with solid grace. I smile calmly but with great satisfaction at my fans — until my gaze locks onto the two girls across from us. 'Hey, you two — you finally dare to meet me face‑to‑face, don't you? Do you think your dirty tricks are going to make me slink away in shame? Never. Today, Hana and I are here to clear out some trash — some purple, worthless, slandering, backstabbing... trash!' The whole arena immediately erupts in cheers and chants. Alisha and Tessa stare at the roaring crowd with a mix of arrogance and bewildered anger. 'You have one minute to surrender. Otherwise, I can't guarantee what might happen in a little while.'

Hana_Jeong: I reach up and gently grab your massive forearm, pulling your focus away from their bait. "Let them bark," I say softly, keeping my voice steady. "We got this." I turn my back on them completely, deliberately treating them like background noise. "You think you're special, Hana, huh?!" Alisha screams from her corner, her voice cracking over the arena's hum. "Tonight I'm giving you an attitude adjustment, bitch!" I ignore her entirely. Instead, I step closer and wrap my arms around you in a brief, solid hug before the bell rings, sealing our bond right in front of the roaring crowd. "I can start," I tell you, stepping back with a sharp nod. I turn around as the referee calls for the bell. My eyes lock onto Alisha, who's angrily rolling her broad shoulders in her corner, itching for a fight. I bounce lightly on my toes, totally focused, ready to show her what real wrestling looks like.

Chanyotaaa: "Be careful, Hana…" Other than this useless advice, I can't do anything—I can't even refuse your request to be the first to step forward. When the bell rings, I slowly edge my way to the outer rim of the canvas, determined to keep my eyes on those two despicable guys. It looks like you and Alisha are both ready to go, but I know she and Tessa definitely have some dirty tricks up their sleeves. I watch you nervously… You've not only changed your outfit, but even your opening fighting style feels refreshingly new.

Hana_Jeong: "I got this..." I whisper you back, now my gaze locked onto Alisha like a target. "C'mon, bitch!" she yells, aggressively stomping toward the center of the ring. We crash together, locking up in a heavy collar-and-elbow tie. She tries to use her frame to push me back, but I use her own momentum against her. Slipping seamlessly under her arm, I transition into a tight side headlock. Before she can lift me, I drop straight down, taking her to the canvas. In a fluid, lightning-fast scramble, I wrap my legs firmly around her neck, trapping her in a crisp, sharp headscissors.

Chanyotaaa: The visual impact you bring doesn't just work on the audience—I, too, am stunned by your smooth and perfectly timed counterattacks. I was worried about your physical disadvantage, but in an instant, Alisha's neck was already trapped between your thighs. I could almost hear a roar from hell, with devilish curses and snarls coming from beneath you. 'Fantastic!' I gripped the top rope and silently watched your performance. The referee was crouching down, carefully observing every move in the match. Tessa roared from across from me. 'Damn it, you mute in zebra stripes—get out of the way, don't block my view!' She impotently cursed at the referee, glaring furiously at the scene, yet completely powerless to do anything.

Hana_Jeong: I catch your eye from across the ring and flash you a quick, confident grin, squeezing my thighs tighter around Alisha’s neck to drive the pressure home. She flails violently, face turning red as she desperately hammers her fists against the canvas trying to break free. Satisfied with the damage, I release the hold, fluidly rolling backward onto my feet in one smooth motion. Alisha stumbles back up to her boots, wheezing and furious, only to turn right into my sights. The moment she stands tall, I charge across the ring with full speed, leap high into the air, and extend both feet into a picture-perfect running dropkick right to her chin. The impact rings out through the arena as she hits the canvas hard.

Chanyotaaa: Two thuds against the canvas come one after another, followed by the same nauseating, chilling screams. Alisha is clutching her face—or maybe her lips—writhing on the canvas. She struggles to get up and crawls toward her partner, clearly terrified by your opening move. At that moment, Tessa sees her partner moving toward her, and she seems unsure whether she should step in and face Hana right then. "No! Alisha! Get back! You haven't done anything yet!" I hear Tessa's timid, shrinking voice—even toward her own comrade, she is a treacherous coward, trying to make Alisha take all the bullets for her. "Tessa! You don't even dare to step into the canvas, you coward!" I shout out my contempt for her. "Go on, Hana! You see, they're already scared!" I follow your steps, moving along the edge of the canvas. Alisha doesn't manage to touch her teammate's hand, and after she hears Tessa's words, she is equally furious. "Damn it, Tessa, get in here—I need a rest!" I honestly can't help but wonder about this pair—how on earth do they hold the top villain spot in this league?

Hana_Jeong: Hearing Tessa backpedal in pure cowardice brings a razor-sharp smirk to my face. I wipe a stray strand of hair from my eyes, watching the complete lack of trust and chemistry in their corner as Alisha desperate groans on the mat. "You call yourselves bullies?" I yell toward their corner, gesturing for Alisha to get back up. "You're just loud!" Alisha pushes herself up, staggering back toward me with blind rage written all over her face. She swings a wild, desperate clothesline, but I duck effortlessly beneath her arm, hit the far ropes, and come back with lightning speed, taking her down with a crisp sweeping leg trip. As she hits the canvas with a loud thud, I don't give her a second to breathe. I instantly grab her legs, step through, and lock in a sharp single-leg Boston crab, pulling back on her spine right in front of our corner. "Tag me in whenever you want a piece of her, Chanyota!" I call out over my shoulder, keeping the pressure locked on Alisha while keeping a sharp eye on Tessa's nervous twitching on the apron.

Chanyotaaa: I don’t want to rush in and steal your wonderful moment. Alisha is hammering the canvas like crazy, screaming and almost shouting out all the most vicious words in the world. “You know you won’t have any chance with Hana. You have brought this on yourselves!” I face Tessa on the apron. “You don’t seem to care at all whether Alisha lives or dies, do you?” I am furious at such indifference between partners, even though these two are now standing against me. I then nimbly climb up the corner post and stand high above. “You should be mourning your partner now! Hana! Here—let me in.” I extend my hand toward you, intending to formally take on your onslaught with an aerial move and continue going after Alisha.

Hana_Jeong: Hearing your request, I snap the hold release, letting Alisha collapse face-first onto the canvas, gasping for air. But before she can even attempt to crawl like a beaten dog back to Tessa's corner, I reach down, grab her tightly by the ankle, and drag her kicking and screaming right into our corner. I reach up and slap your open palm with a hard, ringing tag. "She's all yours, Chany," I say with a grin, stepping back through the ropes to give you the stage.

Chanyotaaa: When your warm, firm palm touches mine, and you leave this dangerous area, I crouch slightly on the ropes to gather my strength. I aim at the waist and spine you have just targeted, and I spring myself high upward. I expose my elbow and aim it at Alisha’s smooth back. “Taste the power of my muscles! Bad girl!” I rarely shout like this, especially when I fight in the ring; I think my muscles are already enough to speak for me. I swiftly and passionately slam my elbow into Alisha’s back. I don’t even hear a complete moan or scream. While she recovers her breath through the intense pain, I stand up, grab one of her ankles, and slowly drag Alisha to the center of the canvas, intending to continue my attack.

Hana_Jeong: I rest my forearms over the top rope, leaning against our corner as I watch you effortlessly ragdoll Alisha around the ring. The sickening thud of your elbow crushing into her back echoes clear across the ballroom, and seeing the sheer, raw power behind your massive frame gives me a brief, genuine chill. You’re usually so soft-spoken, but right now? You’re an absolute force of nature. For a fraction of a second, I’m almost glad we’re on the same side. I glance across the ring to their corner. Tessa looks like she’s about to throw up, she’s clutching the turnbuckle pads, wide-eyed and terrified, realizing she’s up next the second Alisha snaps in half.

Chanyotaaa: I am dragging Alisha into the position with the best view and the greatest advantage for me. I can guarantee that in a normal match, I would not hesitate to show off the versatility of my technique and my unmatched power, but I overlook Tessa’s dirty tricks from outside the ring. “Hey! Japanese bitch! Are you about to start your performance? The camera isn’t even on you yet!” In that instant, I feel an unprecedented humiliation. I remember again that day backstage, the way you all attacked and insulted me. I forget what I was about to do to Alisha. My face flushes bright red, and I turn to look at Tessa beyond the apron. “Shut... shut up!” I completely ignore that Alisha is slowly recovering her energy. I am completely distracted by Tessa’s endless filthy words and gestures, until I feel the touch of hair against my abdomen. Alisha drives her head straight into my stomach. I instantly clutch my stomach and kneel on the canvas. “Muscle bitch, that Korean wild girl can’t save you...” Alisha grabs my hair with both hands and drags me roughly toward Tessa’s corner. I stumble along in a sorry, disheveled state, following her violent pace.

Hana_Jeong: "Hey ref, c'mon!" I shout from our corner, my hands slamming against the top rope as I watch Alisha yank you by the hair toward her side of the ring. I instantly hop through the ropes to step in and break it up, but the ref steps right in my path, putting his hands up and blocking me. Instead of stopping their cheap shots, he's barking at me to get back on the apron! "You're not seeing what they are doing?!" I yell right in his face, gesturing furiously at Alisha and Tessa's corner. "C'mon! She's pulling her hair!" The referee just pushes me back toward our corner, completely oblivious to Tessa sneaking in a cheap boot to your ribs while Alisha holds you down. I slap the turnbuckle pad in pure frustration, leaning over the ropes and reaching my hand out as far as I can toward you.

Chanyotaaa: “Ahhh!” I have no idea how many punches and kicks these two bastards land on me while the referee and Hana are negotiating. My hair is being pulled tightly, making it impossible for me to raise my head and figure out who is attacking me now. Alisha drags me to the turnbuckle, while Tessa balls her hands into fists and frantically pounds my back and ribs. “See! Alisha, I tell you you can do it! You can easily trample this big guy underfoot, can’t you?” Alisha seems flattered by Tessa’s praise, which makes her feel absolutely euphoric. She grabs my hair and stuffs my head into her armpit, then forcefully arches her back. My breathing is instantly cut off by 90 percent. I let out hoarse gasps. This standing guillotine is awful. Tessa grabs the ropes from outside the ring and presses the sole of her boot onto my head, which forces my throat directly against Alisha’s arm. I almost feel like I won’t see tomorrow’s sun. My hands desperately reach forward, trying to grab something, even if it is just the ropes. And at this moment, language—the only tool I have to ask Hana for help—is completely useless.

Hana_Jeong: Seeing those two cowards double-teaming you while the referee tries to enforce the rules makes my blood boil. The moment Tessa steps onto the apron and presses her boot into your head, I drop my patience and push straight into the ring to defend my partner. I charge across the canvas, slide smoothly under the bottom rope, and drive a hard running dropkick clean through Tessa's legs, knocking her off the apron so she crashes face-first onto the outside floor. Without breaking stride, I pop up right beside Alisha, grab her wrists, and sharply break her grip on your neck, prying her armpit off your head to give you air. "Ref! Get her off, she's illegal!" Alisha shrieks, stumbling backward. "Break it up, Hana! Get back to your corner!" the referee yells, stepping between us and holding his hands up to enforce a clean break. I back off immediately, holding my hands up high to show the ref I'm playing strictly by the rules. I drop down on one knee beside you, resting a supportive hand on your massive shoulder while keeping my eyes fixed on Alisha. "Breathe, Chany! Get your air back! You can do this!"

Chanyotaaa: 'Oh yes... damn it...' I coughed violently. You pulled me out of the suffocation and pain. With you at my side, defying the rules to protect me, I felt a little reassured. I began to realize how crude the Alisha-and-Tessa combination was; they only knew how to press their advantage and pull those little street-fighting tricks. I watched the referee stand between me and Alisha. 'Hana, get out, or I'll start counting you out!' the man warned you sharply. I gave you a look that said I was fine now, then, out of the corner of my eye, I fixed on Alisha behind the referee. Just as the referee started to move, I took advantage of a split-second blind spot and, with a spear, shot myself forward like an arrow, crashing into Alisha's abs in the corner.

Hana_Jeong: I immediately step through the ropes back to our corner, holding my hands up to comply with the referee's count. Before the official can even finish turning around, you explode out of nowhere. Like a speeding truck hitting a brick wall, you drive a brutal shoulder thrust right into Alisha's midsection, pinning her hard against the turnbuckles and nearly snapping her in half. The violent thud echoes across the arena as the breath explodes out of her lungs. I lean against the turnbuckle pad, my jaw slightly slack as I watch you demolish her. I hope I never have to wrestle her... I think to myself, letting out a low whistle of respect for your sheer power. "That's it, Chany!" I yell, slapping the top turnbuckle pad to keep your momentum going.

Chanyotaaa: I feel the sensation of a brand-new engine of motivation again, because the cheers and Hana’s encouragement make me understand that I am not here today to prove how right all those overwhelming taunts and jeers are. I am here to tell them how much a girl with a true fighting heart deserves to be seen. I grab Alisha by the throat from the front and use my strength to lift her straight up—yes, the “chokeslam” I haven’t used in a long time, because I don’t know what kind of opponent deserves such a heavy move. “Alisha, you and Tessa bring this on yourselves. If your teammate still doesn’t plan to save you, maybe she soon won’t even be qualified to step into the ring and get her ass kicked by me.” I then slam Alisha hard onto the mat and roar wildly, venting the distress that public opinion and lies are causing me these days.

Hana_Jeong: Alisha lies completely flat on the canvas, spread-eagle and twitching helplessly after taking that horrific chokeslam. That girl is out cold... completely done. For the first time since I met you, genuine fear flashes across my eyes as I watch you roar. I've fought in brutal rings all over Asia and taken beatings from heavyweight strikers, but I have never seen that kind of immense, terrifying brute force inside a Noir Extreme Wrestling ring. You look less like a wrestler right now and more like an unstoppable force of nature. Across the ring, Tessa looks like she’s about to faint. She backpedals down the apron, completely ready to abandon her unconscious partner and run for the backstage curtain before you turn that terrifying power on her.

Chanyotaaa: "You coward! Get back here!" I watch Tessa retreat timidly, until little by little she is about to leave the center of the ring. Anyone who abandons their partner instantly enrages me. It turns out they just enjoy causing chaos together. They have no teamwork at all—they can’t even do any real damage to me and Hana. But after all, the match isn’t over yet, and I can’t stop it to settle my personal grudges. I grab Alisha’s ankle again and pull her up, dragging her to the center of the canvas. I force her to her feet. This time I drape her arm over my shoulder, bend down, and thread one arm behind her knee. "Here comes the sheriff!" Excitedly, I scoop her up and fall backward, slamming Alisha’s back hard onto the canvas with a signature 'Fishman Suplex.' Then I keep her pinned, waiting for the referee’s decision.

Hana_Jeong: The moment you plant Alisha with that bone-shattering Fisherman Suplex, Tessa completely loses her nerve. She jumps down from the apron and sprint-escapes up the ramp in absolute terror, leaving her partner for dead. In the center of the ring, Alisha is completely devastated staring blankly at the rafters, drooling, and twitching on the canvas. I stand on the apron in pure shock, my eyes wide. I knew you were strong, but watching you single-handedly dismantle a top heel like paper makes me realize just how terrifying you can be when you stop holding back. The referee slides into position and starts pounding his palm against the mat. ONE! TWO!

Chanyotaaa: I clasp my fingers tightly together, folding Alisha’s body to the maximum extent. I can even see my biceps twitch and bulge from the excessive strain. “One! Two! ...” I don’t feel even the slightest excitement about the victory I’m about to claim. It has all been bought with my anger, and Alisha alone is far from enough to bear responsibility for that anger. “Three! Ding, ding, ding!” The signal of our team’s victory rings throughout the arena. I quickly release Alisha and stand up—not to celebrate, but toward Tessa, who hasn’t run far yet. “Get up here! You won’t get far!” I jump down from the ring and start chasing this scheming girl. I follow her into the backstage corridor, but a few minutes later, I bend her arm behind her back and drag her from backstage back onto the stage, under the public spotlight.

Hana_Jeong: I stand idle in the ring next to Alisha's twitching body, completely clueless about what's going on behind the curtain, looking around as the referee raises my hand alone in victory. Then, the crowd erupts into a mix of gasps and cheers as you drag a sobbing Tessa back out onto the stage by her arm, pulling her all the way to the ring under the glaring spotlight. "I'm sorry, Chanyota! Please let me go!" Tessa squeaks out, tears streaming down her face as she literally begs for mercy, completely broken. As you toss her back into the canvas, I step over Alisha's motionless form and gently touch your muscular arm, looking up into your intense eyes. "I think they've had enough," I say softly, keeping my voice calm and grounded. "Look at her... she's full of fear now. She learned her lesson tonight, Chany. We won. Let's leave them in the dust."

Chanyotaaa: My already-raised fist stops in midair. When Hana intervenes, I really can’t keep doing something out of line in front of you—something I myself deeply detest—but tonight these two forced me to act like a madman. My sense of grievance takes over my mind; I don’t even feel any joy from winning the match. “Hana, have I done too badly? I shouldn’t be like this...” I slowly calm down. Tessa tactfully shrinks to one side. I just want to hide in your arms and cry, as if my scars and humiliating history are being exposed to the public again and again, leaving me utterly wretched. I finally can’t hold back my tears and bury my face in your shoulder, sobbing.

Hana_Jeong: Suddenly, I have this gentle giant crying over my shoulder, her heavy tears soaking into my gear. The crowd is completely clueless about the raw emotion spilling out in the ring, but looking up at you, I don't see an unstoppable muscle monster or a violent wild card. I just see a fellow human being in deep pain, carrying far too much weight on her shoulders for far too long. I wrap my arms around you as tightly as I can, rubbing your back to anchor you. "It's okay, sister," I whisper gently against your shoulder. "I'm here with you. You did nothing wrong. You were amazing" I take a deep breath, grab your wrist, and push all your self-doubt aside by raising your massive arm high into the air for the entire Hammerstein Ballroom to see. "That's my girl, Chanyota!" I shout to the arena, pointing at you with pure pride. The crowd instantly picks up on the energy, erupting into a deafening wall of cheers, applause, and chants for you.

Chanyotaaa: This feeling is extraordinary. You seem to be an excellent trigger. If it weren’t for you, I would either refuse these two villains’ provocation like a coward, or decide to face them alone—only to be beaten like a clumsy buffalo, or completely lose control and lose all the reputation I had previously built in the ring. But you are both patient and passionate, drawing out my positive emotions at just the right time, and perfectly accepting all my scars. My arm is raised high by you, while my other hand is still busy wiping away my tears. "Believe me, Hana, you are truly unforgettable. Having you is truly a blessing. I’m so envious that Sara has been with you for so long—it really makes me jealous. I think I will also find the person in my life who will always give me this feeling. Thank you, Hana." I wave my arm while revealing my gratitude and jealousy in your ear. Although this isn’t a proper tag team match, and we don’t even have much teamwork technique, it’s clearly enough to deal with these two rookie bullies. Most importantly, you finally, unintentionally, "coached" me over that high mountain in my heart.

Hana_Jeong:

Hana_Jeong: I flash you a warm smile, nodding along even though your words get partially swallowed by the deafening roar of the Hammerstein crowd. We head through the curtain into the backstage area, leaving the ring behind. Paramedics are already loading Alisha onto a stretcher, and Tessa is nowhere to be seen likely hiding somewhere out of sight. When we step into the quiet sanctuary of the locker room, I finally let out a long breath and look up at you. "We are really amazing, Chany," I say, gently smacking your strong, solid shoulder with a proud grin. "You should be proud of yourself!" I turn around and pop open my locker door to grab my towel and water. "You're a natural champion, believe me." The moment the words leave my mouth, a sudden chill runs down my spine. A vivid flash hits me like a wave of nostalgia... a memory of my best friend, my sister Sara Leon. For a split second, I see you standing in the ring beside her in a wild, sudden moment of déjà vu, as if the universe is quietly dropping a hint about where our paths are heading next. I freeze for a second, my hand resting on the locker door, before I turn back to look at you, my eyes wide with a new kind of fear... for Sara.

Chanyotaaa: I suddenly pull you into a hug, almost as if I don’t want you to leave my arms at this moment! “Thank you, Hana! Without you, I really don’t think I can have such a smooth match. See? Tessa and Alisha are almost instantly taken out by us, especially by you—they don’t get the slightest advantage over you.” I am genuinely excited that I can receive help from one person after another. You are facing the locker, and I hold you tightly from behind. But I can feel your body twitch unnaturally when you say “champion.” It is obvious. When we look into each other’s eyes again, there is a hint of caution and guardedness in your gaze. “Oh, what’s wrong, Hana? Am I holding you too tightly? Right, you say champion. Yes, I am very willing to go for it! Oh!...” I suddenly realize something. “Don’t take it to heart, Hana. Maybe it is just my imagination. I won’t be facing Sara again so soon... Of course, I also believe she can definitely keep her title.”

Hana_Jeong: You squeeze me tight... a little *too* tight ... and for a second, as you mention Sara, I can't tell if you're just overly excited or if you're unconsciously asserting your dominance over me. We separate, and the air in the locker room suddenly grows heavy. The warm victory high vanishes, replaced by a thick, sharp tension. I look you straight in the eyes, reading the raw confidence radiating from your frame. "That's okay, Chany," I say, offering you a calm, steady smile to keep the peace. My voice is grounded, but deep down inside, a cold knot of dread tightens in my chest. After watching the terrifying, absolute destruction you just unleashed on Alisha and Tessa, a dark fear creeps into my mind: Can Sara really defend her title against a force like you? I have serious doubts. I don't answer that question out loud. I just take a deep breath and settle my posture, silently making a vow to myself. Sara is my sister. No matter how powerful you are, no matter how much I respect you as a friend... I will *always* have her back. "Get cleaned up, Chany," I add softly, turning back to my locker and pulling out my change of clothes. "I think we earned some drinks after this match."

Chanyotaaa: "Oh! Thank you!" For some reason, suddenly we are standing here awkwardly, as if characters in a script suddenly forget their lines. Until you reopen the conversation with an invitation. I tear off the thick protective gear from my body and remove my muscle bandages. "Yes, Hana, I think we should celebrate. Let me treat you, okay? I truly appreciate what you did tonight. But unfortunately, you can relax and enjoy yourself all you want, while I can't enjoy drinks like alcohol. I'm going to take a shower now. Wait for me here, Hana!" I excitedly grab a bath towel, leave my boots and knee pads at the bathroom door, and excitedly rush barefoot into the shower. Every drop of water hitting my skin feels like it is encouraging me. As for the championship—uh, the championship Hana mentions—I think she is too nervous. I long for those titles, but at least for now, that is not the goal I am pursuing. I don't worry too much about these things. With that thought, I relax and whistle in the bathroom.

Thank you, Hana, for your help. This was a short but absolutely extraordinary match.
