I’m Hana Jeong — born in Busan, South Korea, and now chasing my wrestling dream in New York City. I lost my parents when I was very young, and growing up without them taught me to rely on myself and fight for every opportunity. Before I ever stepped into a ring, I was a gymnast. I grew up flipping, twisting, and pushing my body past fear, learning how to fly before I learned how to fall. That background became the heart of who I am as a wrestler — a high-flyer who loves risk, motion, and the freedom of the air.
When I moved to New York, I thought the hardest part would be breaking into the wrestling scene. I was wrong. The hardest part has been everything in between — the late-night subway rides after working double shifts at a small Asian restaurant, the aching muscles that never fully recover, the loneliness that hits after the crowd’s gone home.
Still, every drop of sweat, every bruise, every sore morning is worth it. I’m fighting to prove that I belong here, not just as another rookie but as someone who can inspire — someone who can rise. People see a quiet Korean girl and underestimate me, but once that bell rings, I let my body speak for me. I soar, I crash, I get back up.
