10:23 Graviton: I grinned from ear to ear as I checked the power gauge on my EMP bomb. It was now full. Everything was going smooth as silk with this little operation. In the distance, the cooling towers from Torness Nuclear Power Station, on the east coast of Scotland, let out continuous plumes of steam, scattering hazily in the wind, the sound of the waves crashing on the shore blending with the cries of seagulls drifting over us next to our hiding spot near the coast of the North Sea. The land around us was rocky, covered in boulders and scrub brush.
I turned to Rock Solid, my comrade and fine, hairy, hard muscled companion for this latest experiment of mine. We'd worked together many times in the past, and he was one of the few mutants that had earned my trust. Once I'd managed to perfect my nuclear emitter, the world would be our oyster. No one could stop us at that point, not unless they wanted their cities, soldiers, and citizens bathed in lethal radiation. Once complete, my nuclear emitter would be able to generate an intense field of radioactivity from anywhere on the planet, to anywhere on the planet. The final fruits of my genius. The ultimate weapon, it can't be intercepted, can't be stopped.
And it was almost complete. It just needed one final ingredient. Proximity to a nuclear meltdown. The intense radiation released would provide the final exotic elements needed to charge my device. Ever since that fateful day when my experiments with graviton particles malfunctioned, bathing me in exotic radiation, I was changed forever. When I woke up, I felt different, strange. Over time... I learned what was different about me. From that point, I could control the forces of gravity themselves. I could, for a few seconds, vastly intensify the mass, and consequently, the gravity, for a given object, or conversely, completely nullify the mass, making it weightless. It was very draining, and I needed a little while to recover before I could do it again, but I had learned how to use this power to great effect.
I could have used this power for the benefit of mankind, could have joined forces with the League of Heros, but what's the fun in that? Wasting my time to protect the weak and spineless? Slaving myself to the selfish interests of governments that I could care less about? No, in this world, you have to look out for number one. Me, and my companion, Rock Solid, had the right idea. Take what we want. With my genius level intellect, my control over gravity, combined with Rock Solid's near invulnerability to damage, who was gonna stop us?
But I didn't rely on just my mind or my powers alone. I'd built up my body over the years, knowing that there were times when I'd have to get physical. I was a powerful man, thickly muscled, about 6'1 and 215 pounds of solid muscle. I'd also achieved a black belt in karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The karate, in particular, complimented my power over gravity and mass very nicely.
I stood up, it was time to cause a meltdown and finish perfecting my nuclear emitter! I wore my battle uniform, a solid black carbon-fibre muscle hugging suit that provided protection against most bullets, protected me from being easily sliced or diced with blades, and it looked damn good on me, showing off my thickly muscled body. There was a large yellow G, my sigil, right in the middle of my thick muscled pecs. And around my waist, I wore a utility belt with my equipment, most of it my own invention.
Time to have some fun... time to play some games. I turn and grin at Rock Solid, giving that muscle monster a thumbs up. Then, I activate the EMP bomb. A huge electro-magnetic pulse rips across the landscape, so powerful that electrical transformers explode violently, delicate electronic equipment is fried into slag by the shockwave. And of course, that means all the cooling pumps, primary and backup, for the nuclear reactor are now useless. In a few hours time, Torness Nuclear Power Station will meltdown. All we have to do is wait, and of course, keep anyone else from interfering with our plans. With a surge of muscle, I charge forward, covering the scrub separating us from the darkened Nuclear Power station.
10:23 Hard_Impact: I was 16 and playing soccer for my high school team. I was so pumped and focused that day that I put all my focus and energy into my kick, the ball blasted out in the air to an extent that it was no longer visible. To this day I don't know where it went. Obviously I was kicked out of the team harder than I kicked that ball to be honest. I was really fond of Robots and something about gadgets really fascinated me. So naturally I joined MIT's engineering program and I was lucky enough to get into it, it's not like I chose them, they chose me.
My powers were always haywire, I kept breaking things and throwing things way too far away. But I never fully understood them. I thought I had super strength but I punch really hard some days and the other days it's not even enough to take down my 16 year old younger brother.
Well life was all great. I went to MIT and did my classes, building robots in my free time when one of our engineering labs caught a huge fire. It was 2am and I was working on code for a cool robotic limb when I heard an explosion, apparently there was some flammable gas leak. I rushed in and saw a girl trapped in the chamber. I tried to open the chamber but it was forced shut and no ordinary person could break it off. I focused and mustered all my strength into both my hands and forced the steel 1000 pound door open. Naturally I saved the girl so she said thank you to me but she was hot and I was horny and we are dating.
That same night I met The Shield my partner in crime; well not in crime we save people. He thought I had potential BLAH BLAHH BLAHH. He offered to trained me. BLAH BLAH BLAH. I Said not interested. YADA YADA YADA. But eventually I caved in with his "Captain America speech" and its been 2 years since I am in my final year at MIT and working part time with one of the well known superheroes "The Shield"; more like medium well known.
I was in my class when the buzzer rang, which he gave me to call me. Like I'm his fucking dog. Not sure why he can't use a phone like a normal person. Apparently there is no way to SHUSH this thing and I get thrown out of the class. I rushed to the Edwards airforce base since this was an international mission. I packed up my gear and ran.
Oh shit, I totally forgot. My powers, yeah I can manipulate the energy in my body, focus it to any specific part of my body for some time. If you didn't understand, I don't have time to explain, I need to run to the airport.
Running towards the airport as fast as possible at superspeed as I used the energy from other parts of my body to my legs to attain that, also my hero name is Hard Impact, I suggested Kilo Joule it was nerdy but better but my boss is a jerk and doesn't listen to me for a bit.
I reached the airport and saw The Shield already waiting on the Hero League’s plane. He was waiting for me with a usual frown on his face as he was showing me his watch from a distance to show I'm late. I fuckin ran here at super speed how is the tyrant here before me.
ENOUGH ON THE INTRODUCTION
I went into the plane and it took off, went to the washroom and changed into my battle gear, my costume was a skin fit t-shirt which showed off my amazing physique with slim fit black denim, which I ripped a little from the right knee in our last mission and I had no time between grad school, full time girlfriend, LITA my robotics project and my part-time superhero job to buy a new pair so I'll call it a fashion choice. I had my tactical belt on with gadgets created by the one and only "HARD IMPACT" some worked and some were still in beta testing.
I sat down besides my boss The Shield and he started to brief me on the mission.
10:23 The_Shield: As soon as I read the alert from the defense department, I didn't waste any time. I moved. The message was simple ... "A NUCLEAR MELTDOWN IS IMMINENT AT THE TORNESS NUCLEAR POWER STATION ON THE EAST COAST OF SCOTLAND. GRAVITON IS BELIEVED TO HAVE DELIBERATELY CAUSED THE MELTDOWN FOR UNKNOWN REASONS. HE AND THE MUTANT ROCK SOLID ARE PREVENTING LOCAL AUTHORITIES FROM STOPPING THE MELTDOWN. A CHARTERED AIRCRAFT IS WAITING AT EDWARDS AIRFORCE BASE."
That was all I needed to hear. This was a deadly serious issue. I'd been to Scotland before, and the prospect of the green and beautiful east coast turned into an irradiated wasteland was something out of a nightmare. I left my office at once, at a dead run, stopping off in the locker room to change into my battle gear, heavy white boots, thick kevlar-reinforced white trousers with red stripes running up the sides. A utility belt was strapped around my waist, loaded down with communication equipment, and a few other useful tools. My muscled torso was covered by a similar top, thick, kevlar-reinforced material, white with red stripes continuing up the side, with a stylized, round red shield right in the center of my chest.
As soon as I finished gearing up, I ran outside the headquarters of the Hero League, where I worked full time. As soon as I burst out the door, I concentrated, and a shimmering force field the shape of a broad, round disc appeared directly in front of me. Concentrating tightly, I stepped up onto the disc, which sped off through the air, carrying me rapidly across Washington DC towards Edwards Airforce Base. I sent a short message to Hard Impact, telling him to meet me there. The other heros of the league were out on assignment, leaving just me and Hard Impact. Hard Impact had a rebellious, wild streak a mile wide, but his heart was in the right place. I'd seen his potential ever since I was called to his university to help deal with the fire. He'd dealt with the situation admirably, and though it took a lot of patience and persistence on my part, he finally agreed to train with me.
His abilities were extraordinary, and I'm glad he's made the right choice to use them as a force for good. With great power comes great responsibility. I think, just maybe, he's finally beginning to learn that lesson.
As for me, I was raised by my father, my mother having died when the military base I lived at was attacked by a group of supervillains. My father was an Army Ranger, and rescued me from the flames of my house after the attack. Even then, my mutation had begun to manifest. I was the only survivor, having wrapped myself in a bubble of force. But I couldn't save my mother. After that, I swore an oath to protect and shield the defenseless with every ounce of strength and will I could muster. My father supported me in my goal, and trained me hard through my teenage years, drilling me in hand to hand combat, physical discipline, battlefield tactics, leadership, and most importantly, the intense mental concentration needed to use my ability, the summoning of force fields. I could summon force fields from about as small as a ring, to about as large as a bubble big enough to encase myself, and everything in between. These force fields had to be circular in nature, a ring shape, a disc, a sphere. And they used my body's own energy to manifest, so I could get tired out just like someone running a marathon would tire out. My shields were strong, they could block bullets, and deflect physical objects, but each impact drained my energy, and if a large enough impact hit my shields, they would shatter. That has happened to me a few times. Just imagine having someone stick a knife into your guts, twisting the blade.
My disc flew rapidly, carrying me to Edwards Airforce Base in under ten minutes. I hopped off, and got onto the Hero League’s own plane, a sleek aircraft capable of traveling at MACH 2. Time was of the essence. We had to stop that meltdown. I waited, impatiently. Where was Hard Impact? He knew that signal meant a level one emergency.
At last, I caught sight of him running across the tarmac towards the aircraft. I sighed in relief, impatiently gesturing for him to get strapped in. The pilot revved up the jet engine, and a minute later we were on our way. I used the time to fill in Hard Impact on what I knew, which wasn’t much. Then, I explained to him the plan. The jet was going to fly over the Nuclear Station, and we would be ejected. I’d link up with Hard Impact, summon a disc, and fly us down together to defeat the two villains and clear the way for emergency repairs to prevent the meltdown. It would take us about an hour to arrive. I hoped that would be enough time.
10:23 Rock_Solid: A human body has 19 million skin cells, my body has the power to manipulate those 19M cells. When I grab something in my hand , my body absorbs it and all my skin cells reflect the properties of that object. So If I have steel or diamond in my hand my skin cells would reflect the strength of steel or diamond.
It seems like a cool power but I was always bullied because of it. This world doesn't accept anyone who is different from them, they mock us, insult us, make fun of us and some even kill us. The world is filled with hatred, from a young age when I manifested my powers I was bullied, was kicked out of my house and some haters even tried to kill me, the long scar on my arm is a constant reminder of the world's hate towards me and my hate towards the world. But I killed each and everyone of them when I learned to harness my powers and use them to show the world that I am not weak.
I met Graviton a few years back when I was captured by the hero Hawk. He helped me escape and I vowed to help his magnificent mind achieve its desires no matter the cost.
At the Scotland nuclear power plant my task was to disarm the security and protect Graviton while he did all the smart things that my brain can't comprehend. At 6ft 2 inches and around 250 pound of hard trained muscle I am barefoot, wearing nothing on my torso showing off my brute hairy chest as I needed no armor but my skin. I wore black trousers and had a tactical belt filled with materials I needed.
I disarm all the guards, killing most of them with a single punch keeping an eye out on the perimeter for any puny heroes. I know they will come and I will most definitely enjoy breaking their bones. Making them beg before killing them.
10:23 Graviton: We reached the Torness Power station while the guards were still trying to figure out what was going on. They were easily killed by Rock Solid. Now, all we have to do is keep anyone from stopping my lovely meltdown, and our game will play out to it's logical conclusion. A charged nuclear emitter, and the power and wealth of nations for me and Rock Solid. All within our grasp. The fire services and police stream on to the site, but they are easily dealt with. As they are passing over a bridge towards the plant, I simply increase the gravitational field in the center of the bridge for just a few seconds. Suddenly the bridge is ten times heavier ... and immediately, it collapses under it's own weight, dropping the police cars and fire engines down into the ravine, where they all explode in a lovely ball of fire.
I move back inside the Power Station, monitoring the progress of the meltdown. Only about two hours to go until the meltdown is achieved!! I've also managed to tap into the UKAF radar network, being a genius does have its advantages, and I'm monitoring that for any suspicious aircraft approaching. I certainly wouldn't be happy if they tried paradropping troops in on us to take us by surprise. On the small , heavily shielded, tablet I spy a plane approaching at MACH 2. Definitely military. I look up at Rock Solid, grinning, showing him the tablet. "Well my friend, it looks like someone else wants to play with us after all. How about we give them a warm welcome?"
10:23 Hard_Impact: With the plane approaching in just one hour I need to gather my energy. I go to the front of the plane and give the waitress a cute smile, I need some food to get maximum energy. She responds,"You need what??" I said, “I want all the food you have on this plane. Thankss!! Babe!!” I come back to my seat with the two trays one in each hand with food stacked up like a mountain. All the packed and junk food they have on the plane, all stupid low calorie stuff too. But I don't have much choice and from the sound of the brief I think I need all my strength. I dig into the food eating it like a monster because I know I gotta do it fast and the boss turns away to look out the window as he can't stand to watch me eat.
I'm not even done with all the food and we reach our destination. "It's time!!!" The Shield says with the classic hero harsh voice and my response to it is "Aye! Aye! Captain''. I follow him as he makes a circular shield to take us down. Trust me I'm no silver surfer, I've fallen hard and far countless times in the team training facility. But I am careful as I hop onto it, let's go!!!
We travel downwards when I see a big muscular guy. I go to the gym and have an above average body even for a hero. But this dude was jacked. Boss told me about two guys but I couldn't see the other. Where is he?
10:23 The_Shield: Why does he insist on eating junk like that? I can't stand to watch Hard Impact eat. We sure as hell both need our calories for this mission, the energy to do what we do doesn't come out of thin air. Myself, I reach down to a pouch on my belt, and pull out a super-dense ultra-high-calorie energy bar specially formulated for the hero league. I eat it carefully, efficiently, every crumb. It tastes awful, but I'm not eating it for the flavor, just the fuel. Hard Impact won't touch them, though. He says they are gross. He'll learn in time. Duty before personal preference. His heart is in the right place, the rest will follow as he matures.
The pilot signals me, and I nod, calling over to Hard Impact. Holding onto him tightly, I make a disc, step on with him, and the hatch lowers. We speed down towards the darkened Torness Nuclear station, on the coast, surrounded by scrub and sheep fields. The fires raging beneath the collapsed bridge are all that's left of the emergency vehicles that tried to save the plant. I felt a cold fury burn inside me. Murdering scum. I scan the perimeter of the Nuclear Station, and catch sight of Rock Solid. A dangerous foe, responsible for the deaths of more than one hero. But he's never faced off against me before. The world will be a better place after I'm finished with him. But where is Graviton? I know him by reputation as well. He's a genius, and by all accounts, even more dangerous in his way than Rock Solid. Every sense I have is on high alert as I come in for a gliding landing about 20 feet in front of the big muscle beast. My mind is working overtime, concentrating on maintaining my shield.
I can't do anything except simple movements while I'm maintaining a shield, but I've trained hard in summoning and releasing my force fields in rapid succession through the course of a fight, using them like weapons, even though I might not be able to keep them in place for very long. We landed beneath a heavy crane, used to load nuclear fuel rods from the train, just outside the loading area. As my disc touches the ground, I let it dissolve. Hard Impact knows the drill, and hits the ground running right beside me. As my disc dissolves, I reform a frontal shield, a half sphere protecting us from the front. We are just about to test exactly how solid Rock Solid really is.
10:23 Rock_Solid: Rock Solid. The name is not just to show off. From my conversation with Graviton we already know the heroes are coming and we are well prepared for it. I know if I just crush the two in the first step of the plan we wouldn't even have to be bothered by them at all. Graviton is planning a sinister plan to take down the guys while I am going out front to squeeze those bitches to death.
Standing in front I look at them as they ascend on the shield. I know about The shield. He's strong and just like the guy I like to break into pieces, the guy with him looked young and I had no idea who he was probably a sidekick.
10:23 Hard_Impact: Heyy!!! I'm a hero too okay!!!
10:23 Rock_Solid: I rush towards them at top speed, taking a granite stone out of my pocket first and hold it in my fist clenching both fists while I am running towards them at full speed. I know I need to break that shield to get to them. I smash my shoulder into that shield. It doesn't get shattered as I hoped but it had huge crash marks to it. I smash a strong right hook into the shield to break it off.
Since I do not know what are the powers of the new kid I keep a distance sending a punch into The Shield's face strong as a granite stone. As the young hero jumps at me I send a strong punch into the young guy's abs with full force.
10:23 Graviton: I wait in my hiding place, as those heros fall for it. So, they sent The Shield and his lackey, Hard Impact after us did they? Well, well, well. I watch as Rock Solid charges out, smashing onto that force field, having turned his skin granite hard. Rock Solid is fucking strong, even though he doesn't have any inherent super strength, he almost doesn't need it. Plus when he can turn his skin to granite, well The Shield is gonna learn real fast how much damage that can do. I can see the winces of pain on the Shield's face as he tries to keep his force field up, but the repeated blows wear it down. Suddenly, the force field vanishes, and Rock Solid weighs in fists swinging, one towards The Shield's jaw, and one towards the younger hero's muscled abs.
Rock Solid's fist catches the young hero off guard, slamming into his abs with terrific force, like being hit with a goddamn granite pillar. Perfect!!! PERFECT!! Hard Impact stumbles backwards from the blow.. and that's when I strike. I leap out of my hiding place behind the control panel for the giant crane. I concentrate hard, and Hard Impact becomes ... for a few moments ... completely weightless!! This is where my Karate training shines ... Although I feel a bit drained from nullifying Hard Impact's weight, I've got enough in the tank to launch my next attack! I leap up behind him, my powerfully built muscle, through years of intense training, obeys instantly as I fling myself directly towards the now suddenly weightless hero in a flying side kick, aimed at the small of his back!!! If my kick lands, with all the momentum and force behind it of my full weight, it will send his weightless body flying through the air at high speed, on top of the damage it will do to his back, and do even more damage when his weight returns and he crashes at high speed. A simple application of physics can make me every bit as dangerous as the toughest muscle head! Mind over matter.
10:23 Hard_Impact: The basics of power is simple, energy in our body is everything, I can manipulate it to increase my strength in a particular part of my body. I can make it strong, make it heal faster since that also requires energy.
When I saw the hit from the big guy coming in my instant reaction was to provide more energy to my abs to make them keep their hold while I flexed. A hit like that to a normal person would have caused internal injuries. I ducked forward because that is the body's natural way of reaction. But even though my abs took a brutal hit I was able to withstand it without any permanent injuries.
All of a sudden I left my feet lifting off the air, WTF. OHHH!!!! it's the other dude. I look to the left and to the right then looked above. Where is he???? When all of a sudden BHAMM a strong hit to the back sends me flying. Flipping in the air like I weigh nothing, I am unable to control myself until the bad guy's power waved off. I used the energy in the meantime to heal some pain from my back. Damn he had strength. All these guys can be called Hard Impact.
As the weight came back I started falling, I focused and put all my energy into my legs to land perfect. BHAMMM!!! I land perfectly on my feet using one of my hands for support, I rush towards Graviton as boss told me he can't use powers without an interval in between. All this while I have been counting the number of seconds. As I ran towards Graviton at super speed and launched a strong roundhouse kick towards the face.
10:23 The_Shield: As Hard Impact and I drive towards Rock Solid, I get my first good look at him. The man is massive, his hairy torso and arms bulging with thick, steel-hard muscle, his bearded face is strikingly handsome, but utterly cold. He easily outweighs me by a good 30 pounds, and as strong as I am, somehow I don't think I can match his raw power. And he doesn't stand still, charging at us. Mid-charge, he reaches down and pulls something out of his pocket, then his skin turns the color and consistency of solid granite. I'd heard about his unique abilities, but never seen them first hand. Well, I'll bet my force fields against his muscle strength any day of the week, granite skin or not.
He slammed into my shield, shoulder first, like a football linebacker trying to sack the quarterback ... and ... my entire fucking shield shuddered and rippled, twisting my guts. WHAT THE HELL? That wasn't possible... No way should he be able to stress out my force fields, I know he didn't have any kind of enhanced strength.. My face screwed up in pain as the feedback from the heavy assault slammed into my guts. My sharp mind soon figured out why my shield, which can shrug off bullets, falling rocks, and heavy impacts nearly buckled from his shoulder smash. His skin... it was granite hard, and driven by enormous strength. A normal man trying that would bounce off as his flesh and bone absorbed the shock, most of the kinetic energy rebounding back onto the attacker. But with his rock solid skin, there is no rebound.. every ounce of his kinetic impact is driven into my force field, and over a large area. A single bullet, while traveling at high speeds, has relatively low mass and can be easily dealt with by my shield, and even falling or thrown objects can be deflected. But this was different, his tremendous strength, his ultra hard skin, the large area of contact, it wasn't something I had encountered before.
I was still reeling from that shoulder tackle when he smashed his right hook into my shield, my shield wavered as more pain twisted in my guts. It wasn't gonna take many more blows like that before he shattered my shield. And if he shattered my shield, I'd be incapacitated, writhing in pain on the ground and unable to use my ability until I'd recovered. So, having no other choice, I dropped my shield. He charged on in, both fists flying, the enraged muscle beast was attacking both me and Hard Impact at the same time!
His fist slammed into Hard Impact's guts, catching the young trainee hero right in the abs. I never got a chance to see what happened to the young hero, as that other fist was coming in hot for my jaw, but I was pretty sure Hard Impact could weather the storm. He was getting pretty good at using his abilities. As for me, well, this is why I trained every bit as hard in hand to hand fighting as I did with my force field abilities.
As that right hook, granite hard rocketed in towards my jaw, I focused intensely, past the roiling in my guts from the damage inflicted to my shields, and whipped my left forearm up in front of my face. That's when I got my second shock... that right fist of his slammed into my forearm, ripping through the white and red striped kevlar body armor protecting me, his knuckles dragging across my thick muscled forearm, gashing me open. The pain hit me like an electric shock as blood started dribbling down my left forearm through the gash in my battle uniform. FUCK.
This was not going to be an easy fight. But I'd been in tougher fights before. And there was simply no way I was going to let these psychopaths irradiate the east coast of Scotland for generations to come. Not on my watch. I'd have to use unconventional tactics against Rock Solid. Every fraction of a second counted. I concentrated ... It was harder this time, after the damage my shields had taken, after the pain from my cut up forearm, but I trained for this. I summoned a small forcefield, shaped like a bracelet, encircling Rock Solid's right wrist as he started to pull his fist back after that right hook, temporarily immobilizing his arm.
Then, I switched my concentration to my attack. As soon as I did that, the forcefield encircling his right wrist would dissipate, but I was counting on that brief distraction to disrupt his guard, to distract him. I leaned over to one side, cocked my right leg, and snapped it straight up towards Rock Solid’s granite jaw in a brutal side snap kick. Let’s see how the muscle beast likes that.
10:23 Rock_Solid: As soon as the force field is down I launch a punch towards both the heros, nailing the young kid in the gut and the other in the face. The younger hero was then taken care of by my friend Graviton so I focused on that Captain America look-alike.
He created a force field again, around my arm to keep it from moving. I tried hard to break it and I saw a kick coming in. I could have blocked my face with my left hand but I wanted to take the hit, I wanted to show the bastard how tough I was.
BHAAMM!! The kick hits my face but the hard granite of my face barely moves an inch, "Is that it? You break granite with a simple kick? I guess the heroes are that smart after all. If you wanted to defeat me at least you should have given your friend hawk a call." I launch a strong kick into your gut trying to nail those abs and push you back. I grab the edge of the force field and concentrate my power at just one spot and break it off freeing my arm.
I then take out a diamond from my tactical belt in my other fist and drop the granite, changing the skin to diamond now, making the skin even stronger and even sharper to bring my defenses up a notch.
I rush towards you with a grim smile on my face sending left and right punches to the face, knowing this hero is quite weak from the ones I've fought and killed.
10:23 Graviton: My flying side kick smashes perfectly into Hard Impact's spine while he is weightless. A blow that might break a man's back, or at the very least, pulverize his kidneys so that he pisses blood for the rest of his life. Certainly, Hard Impact goes flying through the air due to his weightlessness, but I don't see the signs of agony I was hoping for. Interesting... Does his ability include resistance to physical damage? Rapid healing? I was itching to get him into my laboratory, to dissect the tough young hero, see what made him tick, maybe harvest his mutation.
He surprised me again as his weight returned, slamming into the ground, managing to somehow control his landing so as not to break his legs. Remarkable. How long can he use his ability? How much energy does it take? My curiosity burned... his mutation was exceptionally powerful. Then, I had no more time to indulge my curiosity as he started to speed towards me at a blur. Luckily, he was far enough away that I had time to prepare myself. My gravity control wasn't recharged yet, it needed a few more seconds still, but that's why I'd earned a blackbelt in karate. He was moving so fast, I had no idea what attack he was planning, but I went with my instincts, that was the way of karate. It's a game of chess between me an my opponent, even one as versatile as Hard Impact had to play the game.
I leaned far back as he sped at me, moving in time to the graceful katas I had drilled in so hard. Suddenly he was on me, and I felt a rush blasting over my head as his roundhouse kick whistled where my head was only moments ago. That would have probably broke my jaw or worse if it had hit. And now, with brutal precision, while his leg is still up in the air, my coiled leg unwinds, driving my foot directly towards his crotch. Let's see if Hard Impact can take a hard impact to his balls.
10:23 Hard_Impact: I launched my attack at top speed, sending a huge roundhouse kick to the head, but the guy launched back and dodged it. I am still counting to when he starts his gravitation, it's been almost 30 seconds and he hasn't yet.
His physical strength is quite impressive. He dodged my move and came back with one of his own, with energy still flowing in my legs. I saw his kick and moved a step back fast with the energy in my legs, faster than the speed at which his leg was approaching. I grab his leg with both hands, shifting the energy from my legs to my arms. "WTF dude!!!! I mean you kill people that's okay but hitting in the nuts??? Fuckin villainous of you!!" I twist your foot with additional energy trying to shatter the joint in your ankle, then letting go of it. I still have the energy flowing in my arms and I send punches to the abs swiftly and with precision BHAMM BHAMM BHAMM Left right left.
10:23 The_Shield: I had thought that just because Rock Solid's skin was granite hard, it didn't mean his joints and bones were. I had expected my boot smashing into his face to whip his head back, maybe break his neck, do some damage to the tendons beneath the skin. But no ... that's not what happened. Somehow, his head barely moved, his skin absorbed and distributed the kinetic force of my kick across his entire body. HOLY SHIT!!! Just like he had done when bashing my shield.
Before I can reset my stance after that kick, he drives his own kick into my guts. Pain rips through my abs. My kevlar body armor absorbed some of the force, and my flexed abs absorbed some more, but that kick nearly shattered my flex. I winced in deep pain, fighting to get my stance reset. I gained a precious moment as he tried to pry the force field off his wrist, but I'd already let that go, it was dissipating naturally now, so I didn't care what he did to it. It gave me a chance to get my breath back. I growled back at him, "I don't need Hawk to deal with a miserable little psychopath like you."
I charged forward, concentrating hard as he took out a diamond from his belt. My eyes go wide in shock... OH SHIT... My shock breaks my concentration, just as I was about to summon another force field, and that's when Rock Solid struck, smashing his fist towards my face. I get my guard up, but that left diamond hard fist smashes into my right forearm, once again cutting deep through my kevlar battle uniform, and gouging into the muscle beneath, almost to the bone. I deflected that diamond fist, but at a high cost, as the pain and shock hit me like a MAC truck. His right fist nailed me square on my jaw... everything in my head exploded into bright white lights... I was vaguely aware of blood and teeth spraying out of my mouth as my body slammed into the ground rolling hard.
My jaw was dislocated, that much was certain, and the pain was like a white hot fire as I rolled across the ground, bleeding out of my crushed mouth. It was a miracle I wasn't knocked out cold on the spot. I tried to force my way up onto my elbows, my head was spinning. I had to do something... NOW. Drawing on every ounce of discipline I could muster, my steel-hard will focused, spearing through the cloud of pain and shock fogging my mind, and I summoned another bracelet of force around Rock Solid's ankle. Digging deep into my reserves of strength and energy, deep into my will, I forced that bracelet up into the air, flipping Rock Solid upside down, leaving him dangling in the air. It was taking every ounce of concentration I had to hold him there... I couldn't do anything else except hold him in place. I was hurt. I was hurt very badly. But I was The Shield. I know my duty. My duty to Hard Impact. To my country. To the world.
10:23 Rock_Solid: Out of all the punches that he took to his arm, one breaks through nailing him in the jaw with my diamond strong punch shattering the bone into pieces. Your arms have taken massive damage as well from blocking the diamond punches.
You are down on the floor as I walk towards you towering like a giant in front of your face ready to smash that face into a million pieces with a diamond stomp. I pull my foot up in the air to stomp in down on your face when you use that force field again around my leg and stray me away from you in the air hanging upside down.
I pull my upper body up grabbing the force field trying to break it with strong diamond punches. I know you did this to buy yourself time and that is something I do not wish to give you. I go into my tactical belt again pulling out the strongest thing that I have. Boron Nitrate crystal, said to be the strongest element on earth. It was very difficult to obtain it but I have it now. Said to be 10 times harder than diamond. I threw the diamond down while I absorbed the Boron Nitrate, then I just snapped the shield without using much power and dropped down to the ground.
"This is the end for you, fucking wannabe Captain America" by this time you were up on your knees and arms looking down on the ground thinking you bought yourself some time. I dropped down on my feet in front of you and grabbed a strong grip on your hair, almost ripping your hair from the scalp as I pulled you up on your feet and with extreme force and hardness smashed the hardest and strongest knee smash into your gut. Giving you pain that maybe no one in the world may have endured.
10:23 Graviton: Happening almost so fast I was barely aware of it, Hard Impact shuffles back in a blur, bringing his boot from that roundhouse kick down faster than I anticipate, making me miss my kick to his groin. The young, cocky hero grabs my ankle. I can feel and see something ripple upwards from Hard Impact's legs to his arms, they seem to swell with power. For the first time... I'm thinking this game isn't fun anymore.
I'm burning to wipe that cocky look off the young, buff hero's face. But he wastes time making clever comments rather than getting the job done. That's normally a mistake us so-called villains are supposed to make. Clearly, no one told him that. It gives me time to anticipate and prepare. Just as he starts to twist my ankle with his unbelievable strength, I kick up off the ground with my other leg, twisting my entire body in the direction of his twisting of my ankle, preventing him from shattering my ankle, though it sure as hell sprains it so bad I'm going to struggle putting any weight on it.
He drops my ankle, which is now throbbing with pain, my twisting motion carrying me right around to slam onto my back. I land properly, but Hard Impact is not slowing down, not giving me a moment to recover. Naturally not. He throws down one of those ultra-powered fists down towards my abs, even as I harness the remaining momentum of my landing to keep rolling free. One punch lands on my abs .... and the pain that rips through my guts is unbelievable... one punch ... JUST ONE PUNCH and my flex nearly shatters, filling my core with agony. Thanks to my specially designed carbon-fiber battle uniform, it prevents my abs from being totally shattered with just one punch. But a second punch ... would have shattered my core. But I roll out of the way of the rest of the punches, fighting hard to think, to concentrate through the pain in my battered abs.
And finally, I feel my ability to manipulate gravity is refreshed. I don't hesitate, concentrating, taking the hit to my energy, using my karate discipline to shove aside the pain in my core for the moment, as I once more make Hard Impact completely weightless. I reach out with one hand, seizing his ankle. I only have seconds to pull this off. My other hand hauls me up to my feet, most of my weight on my good ankle as I haul the super hero up off the ground while he has no weight. I spin in place, "So, you thought trying to break my ankle was fun, did you? Well I have something even more fun in mind!", holding the hero like some kind of club, my biceps bulging with might, swinging him BASHHHHHHHHHHH head first into the heavy metal frame of the loading crane!!
Then, I swing him the other way, CRUCNHHHHHHHHH... slamming him ribs first into the console controlling the crane, then before he has time to gain his weight back, I lift his body up over my head in a hard swing, then just as his weight returns, I smash him down on his back to the ground, treating his body like a human club, the power and force of his impact magnified by his own returning weight. Now, can he redirect that energy he harnesses to his head, his ribs and his back when he doesn't even know what's coming? Let's find out!! I love a good experiment.
10:23 Hard_Impact: I know I talk a lot and it bites me in the ass when you twist around and save your ankle from absolute decimation. Still counting down, I start to feel light again. There it goes 45 seconds, that's my window after his move.
Some science lessons.
There are four types of energy in a human body. In the body, thermal energy helps us to maintain a constant body temperature, mechanical energy helps us to move, and electrical energy sends nerve impulses and fires signals to and from our brains. Energy is stored in foods and in the body as chemical energy.
In a fight I usually use chemical energy that I get from the food to transfer it to different parts of my body to make myself powerful. In the last two years my boss has been on my tail forcing me to manipulate every type of energy and harness it completely.
Knowing that I am going to get played around as if I am a weightless rag doll, I can't fight back under the influence of his power. I know the only window I have is the next 45 seconds after his move. Focusing totally on defense but not at all knowing the point of contact to fortify. I have to be innovative, I muster all my chemical energy from my reserve thanks to the junk food and harness the chemical energy scattering it to fortify just my muscles. Even extracting everything from my bones to make my muscles tense and strong. But this was not enough, I dug into my mechanical energy as well, sending my body to a temporary paralytic state by draining the mechanical energy and using it to fortify my muscular strength. This was enough to hopefully defend the coming assault, with my head smashed in first, then my back smashed into the machine and what not. The assault was brutal enough to kill even a hard ass like my boss. But I endured it, not gonna lie it hurts like hell. My head is spinning and in a lot of pain and my back is sore as well. I used up a lot of energy to use this defense technique.
But I wasn't done, I had one little trick left, the point of contact between me and him was my ankle, extracting the electrical energy from my never I used it to send a Shockwave to the villainous asshole while he was grabbing me and smashing me around like hulk. The shock I sent to his body is not strong enough to kill him or anything but enough to send a good jolt to the maniac.
"Aghhhh ahhhhhh" I groaned as my body was in pain from the brutal hits, but I get myself up stretching my sore muscles slowly. I know my 45 seconds have started and I wasted 5 seconds in getting back up.
Seeing you stunned from the shock, I close the 4 feet distance between us, sending a quick energy charged kick to the right knee of the same leg with the injured ankle to force him to his knee. I then launch the second hit focusing a massive energy stock to my knee to smash it down into your cheekbone hoping to knock you out.
10:23 The_Shield: I hate to admit it, but I'm going to need help with Rock Solid. Serious help. But I can't spare any effort to call out to Hard Impact. I force my way up to my knees, concentrating with every ounce of will I have as the massive beast of a man hangs suspended by his ankle, hammering on the force field surrounding his ankle.
Every blow twists a knife in my guts, it's so hard to concentrate through the pain radiating from my broken jaw, sending lightning bolts into my brain. But I trained for this. Trained hard. Won't give up. I just need to keep him up there until Hard Impact can help me out. No doubt that young rebel has already dealt with Graviton. My force field is weakening ... but I won't let it dissipate this time. If he gets free, I'm in no shape to stop him. I silently pray ... c'mon Hard Impact. Just turn around.
Then, suddenly, the beast pulls out something else from his pocket, and his skin transforms again... what ..what?? That's ... boron nitrate... how ... did he get access to that? He smashes at the ring of force holding him up, and ....
My force field shatters.
It rips apart, releasing the big man, as I double up, holding my guts while someone sticks a big, sharp knife into the very middle of my core, the feedback from having my shield shattered. My brain shuts down, I can barely breathe. Then, suddenly, the hard-muscled killing machine is there, practically ripping my hair out by the roots, yanking me up and threatening me, calling me a wannabe Captain America. Fuck I wish Captain America were here. How much I fucking wish that.
Before I have time for another thought, that boron nitrate crystal hard knee drives with all of Rock Solid's muscle and hate right into the pit of my gut. I can't even flex my abs right now. That knee smashes into my core like a knife through hot butter, destroying muscle, smashing internal organs, liver, kidneys, intestines to a pulp against my spine, multiple ribs shatter from the sickening force. A jet of blood erupts out of my mouth as his knee drives all the way through my guts to smash into my spine. My battle uniform is lacerated, ripped apart, and the abs beneath, hard, hairy muscled abs that I'd built a lifetime strengthening and forging into solid armor likewise get ripped apart, the edges of that knee not only pulverizing my guts, but ripping chunks out of my abs, blood seeping from between the ruined muscles... while I vomit more blood. I can't think... can't put two thoughts together. I stay conscious only due to my extreme conditioning and physical fitness. It might have been kinder if I hadn't. Thoughts flash through my brain, random thoughts as I sink into a living nightmare... the east coast of Scotland, irradiated for generations, Hard Impact, left to fight these monsters alone. The evil that Graviton can unleash on the world. All of it my fault. My fault.
10:23 Rock_Solid: With the gut smashing knee at a level of hardness beyond anyone's imagination, it obviously breaks the hero down. I didn't even break a sweat and one of the well known heroes of the agency was down at my mercy. Knowing he can't do shit anymore. I nudge him gently with my foot to the back of his head. "What happened? Not strong enough? Where is the truth, justice and all that crap, isn’t it supposed to help you out?" I taunt you as I walk behind you. Reaching down and grabbing your hair once again ripping that perfect brown hair from the scalp while I brutally force you up. You have absolutely nothing left in you and you can't even stand up straight. I yank your head all the way back. "What happened?? Why don't you ask your hero friends for help huh??? Well let me tell you no one is coming to help you.” I grab your arm with my free hand and twist it back, breaking the joint in the elbow. CRACKKKKKK. Only to hear you scream for help. I switched the hair grab to the other hand and kicked the back of your knee to force you on the knees. I grab the other arm and twist it as well CRACKKKKKKK. I yank your hair to pull the head back again. "SCREAMMM LOUDER!!!! I WANT YOUR FRIENDS AROUND THE WORLD TO HEAR YOU!!!!"
I pull you up by the hair savagely again and wrap my hard arms around your chest your back against my hard chest. I start squeezing breaking your rib cage in my bear hug!!!! "SCREAMM BITCHHH SCREAMM ON THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS" I laugh as I start squeezing your tighter and tighter in my hard bear hug. Knowing it won't take more than a few seconds before I crush you.
10:23 Graviton: As I stand there, holding Hard Impact by his ankle, having just smashed him brutally to the ground, I feel a slight tingle. What was that? Did Hard Impact have control over electricity as well? Was he trying to shock me? But my battle uniform is almost entirely insulated against electric current. I do too much work in high voltage facilities, have faced too many heroes with electrical based powers, to take the risk, from my gloves to my boots, I'm shock proof. I smile, deciding to go along with the hero's "plan". I drop him, and step back against the control panel for the crane, wincing in pain as my ankle nearly turns under me. That part wasn't acting, but the rest of it, from the small cry of "FUCK" to the glazed look in my eyes, certainly was. This was just another game. And I'm good at playing games.
I was fascinated as the hero Hard Impact managed to survive the brutal treatment, somehow he was able to disperse his ability to strengthen or protect his entire body, however it worked. He had been hurt, yes, but not killed, no broken bones. I wonder how much it drained his energy reserves? How much does he have left in the tank? Can he keep this up for much longer? Fascinating. I absolutely must get my hands on this specimen. I must study his mutation. All in good time.
As Hard Impact takes about five seconds to get to his feet, I watch him closely the entire time, ready to move. Then, as he begins to move towards me, my good leg explodes, throwing me clear of the hero's assault. His leg, which had been targeting my knee, smashes instead into the seat the crane operator used. His knee, which would have smashed my face, instead drives full force into the steel control panel. At the same time, I hear Rock Solid's shouts of sadistic triumph, followed by another gurgling sound, like a man screaming under water. I rolled, then sprang back to my feet, keeping my eye on both Rock Solid and Hard Impact. WELL WELL WELL. I turn just in time to see a jet of blood erupt from the Shield's mouth. One of the founding members of the league. One of the biggest thorns in the side of me and my compatriots. Finally getting the "justice" he so passionately believed in ... except he was on the receiving end. It was so much fun! Rock Solid did enjoy playing with his hero toys.
I scrambled backwards, circling to the side so that Rock Solid, who was still quite close to me, and proceeding to crush The Shield into a pulp, was between me and Hard Impact. I felt myself slowly start to recharge, gritting my teeth as I forced my leg to bear my weight, calling out to Hard Impact in a mocking tone, "Well, looks like you were having so much fun playing with me that you forgot all about your daddy over here.."
10:23 Hard_Impact: All I needed was one good move. One punch or kick and it would fuck up this evil bastard. He has no enhanced strength but he is fucking smart. My electric shock to him was a waste of energy due to his suit. Then I started with a kick and a knee smash both he dodged and moved away. I know what he is upto, he is buying time until he gets his powers back.
I heard a loud yell and turned around because it was Boss's voice. I saw that the mean big bastard broke The Shields arms BOTHH ARMSS!!!! FUCKKK. NO NO NO NO!!! SHITTT. The big man grabs him violently by the hair and starts crushing him. FUCKKK!!! THIS IS BADD!!.
I always looked up to him, he was my idol, he trained me, took me under his wing, gave me a purpose in life. Watching him being crushed like this was a shock for me. I can't let this happen. This gravity bitch kept me so occupied that I wasn't able to help the guy who has done nothing but devoted his last two years helping me. This can not happen, I won't let him die. Not like this a fire burns in my mind and soul making me have feelings that I never ever experienced. I rushed towards Rock Solid as he was crushing the beat mentor I could ever wish for. I haven't stopped counting, it's still just 20 seconds and I have 25 seconds more before the Gravity guy gets his turn. I rush towards Rock solid, I only have 5 seconds at max to save my hero, my idol, a guy whom I never appreciate but he is the only guy I look up to and one day hope to become.
I focused all my anger and aggression running towards the two of you. I know your hardness is at top level and I would need all my energy every ounce of it to take you down. I gathered my energy, all four types of it and focused it on my right hand as I balled it up for a punch. My chemical energy bringing me strength, with all my mechanical energy I forcefied my bones to make them hard, hard enough to make the impact tougher, the kinetic energy is something I rarely use as it burns my flesh, but I needed it now, with all the kinetic energy the fist started burning, taken a blaze, burning my flesh but adding a strength of the volcano and finally I used the electric energy putting it to my knuckles to give the guy a shock when the punch connects.
My focus was on point and punch was all ready, it was something I never tried before but this was a time of desperation. I saw The Shield put his hand into the tactical belt and I thought maybe he's up to something as well and help would definitely be appreciated at a time like this. But I was shocked to see that he pulled out two of his energy bars. Even at a time like this when you are being squeezed to death, how can this guy think about me? Knowing I would be lacking energy to fight these guys he pulled it out for me so that I have a chance to fight them.
This was the missing piece. This gesture gave me so much determination that with all my might I smashed a devastation punch with all my power into Rock Solid's face.
BOOM!!!!!!
The Impact was very loud, all five fingers in my hand broke, my knuckles busted open, my entire body weak from the energy loss.
The Rock Solid guy was strong but with the strength I had I knew I would be able to push him back. I grabbed the tactical belt of the shield before making contact and with my smashing punch Rock Solid was forced to let him go and went flying and crashing into Graviton standing behind him. It was only 30 seconds up so he didn't have the power yet. Rock Solid smashed into Graviton and both went smashing down on the ground 20 feet away. A big Crack quite visible on Rock Solid's face on the cheekbone where the punch connected.
I fell down with my boss and the boss fell with me. "Hey boss just hold on for a bit longer okay!!!!! I WILL DEFEAT THEM. You have taught me well." he nods as he is having trouble breathing and hands me the two energy bars. They were gross and I never had more than a bite from them before. But I was desperate and filled both of them in my mouth at once and the boss laughed at my sloppy nature. I put him on the chair of the crane.
I could feel the rush of energy in my body, all four forms of energy getting rejuvenated. My strength was at a level I never expected. My broken fingers started healing and I powered up big time. My muscles all flexed and filled with so much chemical energy. This was better than 1000 burgers. With fury in my eyes I look at the two villains. "YOU GUYS ARE FUCKED!!!!"
10:23 The_Shield: I couldn't speak, couldn't move a muscle. My brain was on fire with white hot agony. My core, much of my internal organs, had been ruptured and pulverized. I was helpless, but still hanging onto the edge of consciousness as Rock Solid began to toy with me. I lay there on my knees, blood pouring out of my mouth while he walked around me, mocking me, insulting me and everything I believed in. Yanking my hair so hard, so savagely, he actually tore chunks of it from my scalp as he lifted me, holding me up by my hair, my own legs not working. The whole time I could do nothing. All I can do is hope against hope that Hard Impact was okay. I'd accepted the fact that I was dead. I wasn't going to recover from this. But I couldn't accept that Hard Impact might not be okay. Couldn't accept that the man I'd come to view as my son, the man I'd trained with, the man I'd help grow into the powerful hero he was today, might not be okay.
Suddenly, as he mocks me further, he reaches back, grabs my arm and savagely breaks it, bending my elbow backwards. The pain is sickening... my arm ... my arm... ruined. I try to scream, but I'm choking on my own blood, and all that comes out is a sick gargle. He proceeds to repeat the procedure, grabbing my hair again, and violently shoving me down to my knees, the shock sending sickening pain up and down my broken body. My other arm is grabbed in his invulnerable hand, he twists, and CRACKKKKKKKKK a radial fracture runs the length of my once powerful arm, splintering the bone, utterly crippling me.
Again, I can't scream, only gargle on my own blood. More chunks of my hair are ripped out as he yanks my once powerful body around by my hair, blood dripping down my scalp from the ripped out patches. Then, he wraps his arms around my body, locking me in a brutally tight bearhug. My body is so damaged, my strength is gone. Rock Solid has outmuscled me, outsmarted me, outmanned me on every level, and now he's simply crushing me like a bug. I hear my rib cage start to creak as the bones bend. Then... a bone shatters as my chest begins to cave in, the jagged bone puncturing my lung, more blood sprays out of my mouth. I'm on the verge of passing out from blood loss. This is it ... I find myself thinking... This is how I die. An image of me training Hard Impact flashes through my mind... I would have liked to see the mature man and hero he grows into.
Then, I see through my fading eyesight, Hard Impact, charging towards me, his fist blazing, the look on his face is one that I've never seen. It's like an epiphany has come over the young hero. It's like he's finally found something he believes in hard enough to fight with all his might. I smile slightly, even in the midst of my death, filled with a deep sense of pride for my boy. I find somewhere within myself the strength to pull my last two protein bars out of my tactical belt, making sure he sees them. He'll need them, after this display, if he's going to get out of here alive. It's over for me, but maybe I can do something for my son. Then, suddenly, Hard Impact comes surging forward even faster, and drives his flaming fist right into Rock Solid's face. There is a CRACKKK as I'm dropped from his grip like a sack of garbage, but Hard Impact's hand grabs my belt, holding me as I turn to see Rock Solid sprawled next to Graviton, a crack in his boron nitrate face!! I couldn't even begin to comprehend the power behind that fist. We fall down together, as Hard Impact tells me that he is going to defeat these two. Another surge of pride fills me, despite the agony, as I hand him the two bars. I can't speak, only nod at him. He's all grown up now. I've taught him as well as I could, but this is one battle I can't fight at his side. He leaves me on the chair of the crane controls. I smile at him, blood continuing to pour out of my mouth. I'm having trouble breathing.
I don't have long left. But that doesn't matter. What matters is that Hard Impact, my son, is alive.
10:23 Rock_Solid: I am about to crush this bug in my arms and I want to do it slowly, I want him to suffer as long as possible. I look at the young guy as he looks furious, confident enough in my hardening ability I ignore him while he is coming towards me.
BOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!
The impact, the strength behind the punch was so strong, I couldn't believe this little kid was holding so much power in him. With the surprise punch I let go of the wannabe hero and the impact forced me smashing back, my hard back hitting graviton taking him with me crashing to the ground, my face was burning, the area on the cheek bone had a huge Crack. I couldn't believe it. I was fortunate that my hard skin layer didn't break, if it did my jaw would have broken for sure.
I took a crashing hit and was laying on top of graviton as we smashed to the ground. I got back up and gave graviton a hand, he was hurt from my hardened skin. I pulled him up back to his feet. "The boy is strong, we need to take him out together. What's the plan?"
10:23 Graviton: As I stand there enjoying the sight of The Shield getting crushed to death, suddenly a glowing fist smashes into Rock Solid's face. I'm stunned. That's not how the game is supposed to be played!!! Rock Solid's massive body is blasted backwards right at me!! It all happens so fast, I don't even have time to dodge. The massive muscle beast smashes into me, knocking me down, crushing the wind out of me, bruising my muscled torso up one side and down the other, my nose is bleeding as well. I lie there groaning, stunned. Where did Hard Impact get that sudden surge of power from?? Rock Solid is up first, and helps me to my feet. I can feel, finally, my power has recharged.
I look up at Rock Solid as he asks me what the plan is, I look back over at Hard Impact. I look over at The Shield, who is nearly dead, fighting for every breath, bleeding out. So... he wants to play the game does he? Well, let's see who's a better player after all. I look over at Rock Solid, then tell him, in a low voice, "Just wait for Hard Impact to get distracted, then take him from behind. You'll know when." Then, I concentrate, past all the bruises and sprained ankle, my bloody nose, and activate my power. That rush of energy flows out of me, and I weaken slightly. There is a tremendous groan from the heavy crane as its weight is suddenly multiplied tenfold. It starts to collapse under its own weight, tons of metal girders and twisted steel falling down towards The Shield as he sits, barely clinging to life on the operator's chair next to the crane console.
10:23 Hard_Impact: I am supercharged, my body has never experienced such strength, my hand with multiple fractures has almost completely healed. I look over and both the guys are ready, I know the 45 seconds of Graviton are over so he would try to make me weightless or something, I was ready for anything, I hear a loud noise from the crane, FUCKKK they are still after boss, why can't they leave the poor guy alone he's barely hanging on to life.
The crane starts to collapse and I rush over to him, he is knocked out cold by now with his heartbeat slow. I try to pick up my superspeed, but it's a bit late for that. I push my boss away from the danger zone and the crane collapses on top of me.
Couple seconds later, I tried to get back up by throwing the broken parts of the crane off of me. My back took the major hit and all thanks to the new energy I was alive and not critically injured. My back was killing me. The pain was enormous and I looked over to the devious Graviton with a smile on his face. WAIT!!! WHERE IS THE BIG GUY??
10:23 The_Shield: The Shield sits there, only barely conscious, slipping in and out, the severe blood loss building up, the internal bleeding severe. I'm only half aware of Hard Impact carrying me somewhere, only half aware of the sound of crashing metal falling next me. I try to lift my head, and see Hard Impact buried beneath twisted steel. I give him an encouraging smile, then my head drops down as I fight to remain conscious, fight for every breath.
10:23 Rock_Solid: The plan was great, I think it would work, the young dude is strong enough to nearly take me down, but he would need something called experience for that which I have tons.
While Graviton distracts and exhausts him a bit I sneak up on him. I carefully circle around while he is still too focused to helping first the lump of mass called the shield and then himself from the entire crane collapsing on him. Idiot wasted so much time and energy on saving that pathetic hero, should have left him to die.
I wait for the young hero to get back up on his feet. It's time to teach this boy a lesson. Sneaking up on him as soon as he gets on his feet rubbing his back I know what to do. I grab the hair from the back of his head to pull him closer and smash a strong hard knee to his lower back with full strength. BHAAMM!!
I let go of his hair and push his head giving him an opportunity to turn around and as soon as he turns I smash a strong punch into his face. Knowing he is stunned. I charge at his throwing left and right hooks to the face LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHTT follow up with a devastating knee between the legs to make him fall back to the ground. He goes on his knees and I grasp on his hair again to yank his head up to look at the young boy's face before I give him the last punch. BHAMMMM I punch him hard into the eye and using the hair I pull his body up on his feet. I turn him around with one arm around his neck and the other hand grasping his hair with full strength. Showing him off to Graviton. “This guy is fucking dead now.” I say and I start to crush his neck. Between my hard bicep and forearm. "Any last wishes?" "Hey Graviton!!! Wanna have some fun before I kill him? He gave you so much trouble!!!"
10:23 Hard_Impact: I get back up rubbing my back in pain. Fuck this was not pretty my entire body aches. Suddenly I tried to find the big guy when he was right behind me. I feel a pretty strong grip on my hair pulling not just my head but my entire body back. That's when the strong sensation of pain came rushing into my back when the big guy slammed his knee into the small of my back. "AGHHHHH FUCKKK '' he pushes me and I turn around only to eat another strong punch to the face.
FUCKKK THAT IS BRUTAL!!! Don't know how the boss survived this long against him. The punches kept coming and no matter how much I tried the hits were strong and nailed me good. Each punch hitting my face was like getting hit by a truck if it wasn't for the energy rush I would be dead. The last hit was unexpected, hitting me in my balls. I fall down on my knees in pain. When the big guy grabs me by the hair again and smashes a punch right in the eye. FUCKKKK!!!! my eye was swollen in an instant. It was that strong of a hit. My head was blurry and I was dazed as fuck. When he yanked me by the hair up and wrapped the arm around me trying to choke me or going by his words kill me.
I wasn't sure what to do. All this time I was thinking in the back of my mind any way to take the big guy down but I couldn't come up with any idea. I need to think hard before it's too late. I put a lot of my energy in my neck to postpone the strangulation.
THINK!!! FUCKK!!! THINKKKKK
10:23 Graviton: I watch as the crane falls, crashing down towards The Shield, watching the heroic efforts of Hard Impact as he charges forward rescuing his mentor, pushing him just beyond the range of the tumbling pile of steel, taking the impact of the debris himself. Sacrificing his own chance to stop us in order to save his daddy. I slowly start to clap as I watch the spectacle unfold, mockingly calling out, "Oh look at the brave, noble hero rescuing his beloved mentor from danger. So predictable. So incredibly predictable."
I watch as Rock Solid ambushes the hero from behind, savagely yanking on his hair, smashing him brutally with his boron nitrate hardened fists, seriously fucking the hero up. Then, Rock Solid holds him tightly in his savage grip, presenting him to me as an offering. locking the handsome hard-muscled hero in a rear naked choke. I can see that it's taking nearly all of the hero's power to stop that choke. I smile broadly, approaching the trapped hero Hard Impact, my smile growing wider, while he keeps that choke in place.
Every step I took as I approached Hard Impact further reinforced my boiling rage against this cocky, over-muscled young hero. My ankle was throbbing in pain, my abs felt like one solid bruise, not to mention all the other aches and bleeding nosed from being smashed into by Rock Solid. I was not happy with the hero. Not happy at all. It was time for him to realize whose game this was.
I stand a few feet in front of the trapped and struggling hero, my smile vicious and vindictive. I spit in his face with a snarl, “You think you are ready to play this game with the big boys? Tell me boy, have your balls even dropped yet? I think you have bitten off more than you can chew. Look at what happened to your daddy over there.” I nod over my shoulder, pointing out the twitching body of The Shield. He would be dead soon enough, bled out. “That’s your fault, you know. All of this is your fault. All that crap he tried to teach you, truth, justice, nobility, the need to defend the weak, you see now where it has led you. The strong take, the weak serve as pawns in the games of the strong.”
Then, I take a deep breath, focusing like a laser through my pain, drawing deep on the Karate mastery that has helped me play so many of my games. Beyond pain, and emotion, to that cold place. I cocked my hand, forming it into a blade, all the pain dropping away as I focused. I remembered the sensation, the feeling of striking the blade of my hand down against a stack of granite stones, the feeling of bringing the blade of my hand down on a stack of two by fours, remembered the feeling, the subtle technique by which the human hand or foot could concentrate and deliver terrific force against the strongest of objects.
And here, in front of me was Hard Impact. His body was strong, somehow he used his energy to enhance it, to strengthen and harden it. Well. Time for another experiment.
As I had been taught, as I had mastered, from a place of intense focused concentration, I lashed out with the blade of my hand, in a brutal karate chop into Hard Impact’s ribs on the right side of his body, just as though I would gather my chi to shatter a brick wall, to break a stack of bricks, the force and power of the chop delivered with just the right technique, every muscle in my powerful body flexing, rippling with strength, then suddenly relaxing as I focus all that built up tension at the point of my strike, a technique studied and mastered over the course of years of study.
I scream out again, “KAIIIIIIIIIIIII”, and deliver a second karate chop, to the same spot. Then, a third time, I gather my chi, screaming, “KAIIIIIIIIIIIIII” and deliver a third brutal karate chop to the same spot, those right hand ribs as though they were just a stack of bricks to break.
10:23 Hard_Impact: My neck is getting strangulated under immense pressure from the big guy, my neck trying desperately to hold, using a lot of energy. Just then I see Graviton approaching. I know this isn't gonna be pretty. He smashes up a chop into my energy powered muscle. His strength is much more than a normal human despite no super strength. My muscles tense up and try to hold on.
BHAMM BHAMM BHAMM
Three chops just driven with so much force. The first was easier to take but the second did some damage showing signs of bruising, the third I knew was coming and I tried my best to hold it. Fortunately I am able to protect my body from too much damage. But my energy sources despite the awesome energy bars are still limited. I have some reserve but I need to think fast if I wanna have a chance against the two.
The attacks of Graviton are brutal for sure but with the newfound energy I can take it. It's Rock Solid who I'm most worried about. He's adding pressure to my neck making the vice grip unbearable.
With Graviton standing so close, I thought let's give him something he deserves, he wanted to bury boss under the crane right. I surged some energy to my leg, this time using chemical and kinetic energy and launched a strong fiery kick into his precious nut, definitely this guy shouldn't have kids. He'll fuck them up!!!
After the kick I try to shift the momentum sending both legs towards graviton and trying to send him flying and using the weight momentum combined with the energy from the kicks try to make me and Rock solid both fall onto the ground.
10:23 Rock_Solid: This is frustrating, I have his neck crushed in my choke yet this guy is not giving up. No matter how much pressure I apply. The best thing is to drain him dry of all his energy. Thankfully, I don't have any such limit to my power. I can fight him all day until he is out and beaten. I watched him kick Graviton in the nuts and then he pushed me back. I tried hard to keep my footing but my back smashed back into the floor. I have him still in the choke he thought he'd get away. What a kid!!!
I shifted my momentum to the side releasing the choke I pushed him and then sat on his back as he faces the ground. I then started pounding on the back of his head. BHAMM BHAMM BHM BHAMMM Punches to the back of his head to knock him out. Getting back up I grab the young hero by the hair on the back of his head savagely pulling him up with me. I grab his tactical belt and lift him up in the air over my head, in a full military press.
"AGHHHHHHHHH DIE FUCKER!!"
I yell and bring him down with savage force smashing his lower back into my hard knee to torture him and smash his back, to break that spine.
10:23 Graviton: I finish delivering my final chop into the cocky muscled young hero's side, and though I can tell I've done some damage, I didn't end up breaking any bones, like I'd hoped. DAMN! Hard Impact is one of the toughest heroes I've faced off against. I start to turn away, when his foot lashes out like a thunderbolt, driving up between my legs.
Because I had just started to turn, the blow doesn't land square in my nuts, instead it plows a furrow of destruction up the side of my inner thigh, ripping through my carbon-fiber battle uniform, giving my inner thigh serious road rash, burning like fire, before clipping the side of my ballsack. If that had hit full on, it might literally have ruptured my nuts!!! As it was, an explosion of nausea rips through my balls like a supernova, as I stagger backwards, falling on my ass, cradling my nuts. I lean over, and puke up some stomach acid and bile, my guts roiling in agony.
Hard Impact liked to play hard ball, that much was certain. It took me a while to get my nausea under control, wiping away the dribble and bile from my mouth as I stood up, my balls were starting to swell from the power behind that savage kick. I staggered to my feet, just in time to watch Rock Solid lift Hard Impact up high over his head by his tactical belt. I staggered over while the incredibly muscled hero was suspended over Rock Solid's head, on display like some kind of trophy. I felt that my gravity control had recharged, and fury burned inside me. That fucking hero thought he could play games with me? I'm the gamemaster around here. I couldn't wait to get him back to our base and figure out exactly how his mutation worked.
I stagger over, preparing my next move. One thing I could do with my control over gravity was use it on my own body. I didn't do so unless I had a clean shot, so as not to waste it, but Rock Solid was giving me just what I needed.
Digging down deep through the roiling agony flooding my battle-damaged muscle, I called on that calm center, a lotus floating on the pond, the focus I had learned during my Karate training to push aside the pain flooding my body, I began to flex my steel-hard muscles, building up tension.
I could see what Rock Solid was doing, and just as he started to slam Hard Impact from the military press down into the backbreaker, I focused, and leapt up into the air using my good leg, gathering all my chi, screaming "KAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" to focus my energy to my extended fist. Then ... while I was midair, starting to descend at the same time Hard Impact was starting his own descent towards Rock Solid's knee, I used my power on myself. I held my body rigid in midair while I increased my own gravity, increasing my own mass and weight 10 fold, so instead of weighing 220 pounds, I had the mass and weight of 2200 pounds!
My fist, backed by 2200 pounds of solid muscle, delivering all the force of my Karate technique to that fist, SMASHED into the very pit of Hard Impact's powerfully muscled abs a fraction of a second after his back cracked savagely across Rock Solid's knee, driving all the force of my fist into his abs while Rock Solid's knee delivered all it's force up into the hero's spine!!! Of course, my muscle wasn't strong enough to move my own mass, which is why I rarely used this, and I quickly collapsed to the ground, immobile until the gravity adjustment wore off.

10:23 Hard_Impact: Forced to roll face down, the big brutal man is smashing punches to the back of the head. I pull my hands back protecting my head but the punches are hard and quite strong. Dazing me out, I start to see things a bit blurry, all sweaty and breathing heavy. Damn this guy is draining my energy like a leech. I have to do something.
I feet the strong hand on my hair again, FUCKK!!! he pulled me up like a toy hoisted up like I weigh nothing. This guy is darn strong and this is no guy with superstrength. He smashes me down into his knee. FUCKK I KNOW I'M DOOMED
Like that wasn't enough Graviton jumped up and smashed a 2000 pound fist into my abs. My lower back is on fire as the hard knee drives in deep. But it still wasn't the worst. My abs were bruised and even a few muscles were torn in the abdominal section. I lay on the ground curled, hugging myself as my abs were shot through with enormous pain. Even my energy flex couldn't protect my abs. I puke on the ground, blood mixed with a few other things. Not at all able to fight back against the brutal dudes. They work in perfect sync and I can't deal with both at the same time. I am quite light headed, but I know I need to keep my word, I will fight these guys no matter what.
10:23 Rock_Solid: Looking down at the pathetic hero puking his blood and guts out. I am not a person who shows any mercy. I don't even give him a second to wipe his mouth and grip his hair once again pulling him up off the floor. I grab his neck with both hands and pull him up off the ground. Choking him with my two hardened bare hands squeezing the neck to drain the life and energy out of him. This has to be his end.
10:23 Hard_Impact: "AGHHHHHH" again with the nasty hair grip this guy pulls me up and the off the floor by choking my neck. Hanging in his grip I am losing consciousness. I don't have much reserve to continue, no ideas on stopping this guy either. I look at my enemy as he squeezes the life out of me.
OHHH FUCKK I AM DUMB!!! THE ANSWER WAS RIGHT THERE.
I saw his cracked face, and I know this is what I've done to him. It took almost all my energy earlier but it worked. I focus and summon all four energies once again kinetic, electrical, movement and chemical. All four united and focused just on my knee cap. I don't have much energy so I have to do what I can. Fire burns on my knee burning the flesh, while sparks flew out of it from the electrical energy, solidifying the bone in my knee from the mechanical energy and fortifying my muscles with chemical energy. I smash the most powerful knee hit I've even done to the already cracked face of Rock Solid. I know once his skin is broken, he's all human underneath.
10:23 Graviton: I lay there on the ground, imprisoned by my own suddenly massive weight for a few more seconds, but it was not in vain. I watch as Hard Impact vomits blood, a clear sign of internal injuries on the powerful hero. So ... he's not invincible. He does have limits! I grin. There is a way to win this game after all. Hell yes there is. I stand up, ignoring the pain from my battle damaged body, just as Rock Solid raises Hard Impact up by his hair, then holds him suspended in the air, my ally's massive boron nitride hands crushing the young, powerfully muscled hero's throat.
Then, as I gather myself, I can see Hard Impact's knee start to glow, like his fist did before!! He's going to try one of those supercharged strikes against Rock Solid again!!! I don't know if he can take another strike! Instantly, I find my calm center again. My body's pain washes away, and I am ice calm. I pull back my fist, every muscle tensing. I know Hard Impact's lower back, his abs, his entire core was badly damaged by that combined backbreaker/ab strike. Hopefully enough so that one of my chi strikes designed to shatter stone will be enough to fuck the hero up. This is not just for me... this is for Rock Solid. Rock Solid has been my loyal companion ever since I rescued him from Hawk. I'm not a wishy washy sort of man. But Rock Solid is ... my friend.
This is for him. I dig down deeper than I ever have before, drawing on every ounce of focus and training I have. It is a different feeling when you are doing something to protect someone you care about than when you are attacking a stupid hero. It motivates me in an entirely new way, allows me to reach deeper ..., then I unleash that CHIIIIIII strike with a loud, "KAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII", letting all the tension from my steel-hard muscles release at once, directing my strength into my fist, driving my karate fist deep into Hard Impact's lower spine, on that damaged back, right between the kidneys, throwing every ounce of my power, my training, and my friendship for Rock Solid into that blow. I hope that if it hits it will finish Hard Impact, and even if it doesn't, I hope it will at least make his knee strike miss.
10:23 Rock_Solid: I have the young kid suspended around my eye level clinging to dear life as I squeeze the life out of this sidekick. I am almost done, the poor boy is gonna get killed by my bare hands. That's when I saw Graviton get back up. The knee of the young hero started glowing and before I could block it or deflect it. It's too late and the knee strike smashes into my face to the same spot where the crack was. I never thought anything as hard as boron nitrate could ever be broken by someone with physical strength. But today was the day I was proven wrong. The skin breaks smashing the knee into my face. It was hot and it had the power of a sun.
I dropped the hero at once and staggered back a few steps from the impact. It was dreadfully painful and my head was light and my vision went dark and I fell to the ground knocked out from the hit.
10:23 Hard_Impact: The hit lands with precision, but just as it connects I have a stinging pain in my lower back. Like a thousand needles poking into it. The fucking bastard hit me with something when I was busy with my knee strike to the rock guy.
Fuck it hurts so bad as I drop to my knees. Holding my back into pain. My abs, my back, my head all have taken such brutal torture from these guys, if it wasn't for my will and the energy bars given by my boss. I wouldn't have survived at all. This is a very painful situation, I don't have too much energy left. But I am glad that the big guy at least is down. His hits were draining me quickly. I move away from the gravity guy staggering and nursing my back. Now it's time to take down the mastermind. He is smart, so need to something to corner him. Knowing he should have his gravity powers by now.
BOMMMM!!!!
An eruption occurs with a big smoke cloud coming out from the plant. Just like the Boss would want me to do, I ignore Graviton, and I use my superspeed to rush in and stop the meltdown before it’s too late.
10:23 Graviton: I watch, helpless as, despite my ultimate effort, I failed to protect Rock Solid. I watched in fear and disbelief as the big man took that knee strike, his boron nitrate face cracking and splintering, as he staggered back, then dropped in a heap.
And I could hardly believe that my very best blow to Hard Impact's spine still failed to put the hero down, even after suffering that combined back breaker with 2000 pounds of force smashing into his abs. It only slowed him down. HOW COULD HE KEEP GOING?
This was not how the game was supposed to go.. NOT AT ALL. What did it take to put Hard Impact down??? WHAT???? Rage and fury started to boil in me. I was going to kill him, and the experiments be damned, I would kill that mother fucking cocky, over muscled, superman of a young hero!!! I felt my gravity powers recharge, ready to be used again. I prepared myself to turn him weightless, lift him up and impale the bastard on jagged pieces of metal from the wrecked crane. But then ... suddenly, it finally happens.
The reactor core, with the primary and backup cooling pumps fried thanks to my EMP bomb, was overheating the entire time, turning the water trapped inside the core to superheated steam. Eventually, as I had predicted, the pressure from the steam was too much for the containment vessel, and it erupted like a volcano, ripping the top off the reactor core, blasting a hole in the roof of the reactor building, spewing steam, smoke and radioactive debris. It was a beautiful sight. Such events of sheer destruction are a thing of beauty indeed. It was why I played the game. But even better, that stupid hero ran full speed INTO the main reactor building!!! Already, the dosimeter on my tactical belt began beeping loudly, warning me of quickly rising radiation levels.
Well, I wondered if Hard Impact was immune to potentially lethal doses of radiation!! If he thought he could stop a meltdown in progress, let him try, I think that is something that is beyond even his capabilities. Especially if …
I grin evilly, and just as Hard Impact enters the reactor building, I let loose a final application of my gravity control. This time, I go all out… draining myself utterly. I won’t be able to use my gravity ability for at least another hour, but it is worth it. I concentrate, pouring all my strength into this final act. Sweat rolls down my face, my hard muscled body trembles, and I sink to my knees, but I accomplish what I am after.
I manage to increase the mass and weight of a set of key load bearing pillars inside the damaged reactor building, and majestically, the entire reactor building starts to collapse in on itself. I hoped it would crush the stupid young hero to death, or even better, leave him trapped, until he died from lethal doses of radiation exposure. But either way, it was time to go.
I was exhausted, and could no longer defend myself, not even from ordinary troops and police services, which had constructed a temporary bridge and were bravely rushing onto the scene. I hit a button on my belt, summoning my transport craft. It was small, lightweight, shaped almost like a flying saucer. It utilized a variant of the same principle which allowed me to control gravity. I had studied my own mutation to determine it’s application. If this technology were to become widespread, it would have massive positive impacts for the entire world, with applications ranging from transportation to construction, not to mention space flight. But that wasn’t in my interests. That wasn’t how I played this game.
In under ten seconds, my craft, which had been parked in a small cove nearby, darted in and landed beside me. Exhaustion washed through me, every bone in my body, every muscle, felt drained and tired, I staggered up, and dragged my friend, Rock Solid onto the craft. Then, I spied the body of the Shield. Was he still alive? I check for a pulse. It was there, but fading fast. The man was ultra tough, no question about it. He was lying in a pool of his own blood, his once powerfully muscled core dented, his proud battle uniform torn, a steady stream of blood draining out of his mouth, his once good looking face was deformed, his jaw shattered, and his arms were twisted at weird angles, broken savagely. It was a beautiful sight. One of my most persistent enemies. Mutilated. It helped to put me in a better mood.
But for all of that, he was still more valuable to me alive than dead. I reached down to my tactical belt, and pulled out a syringe. It contained a fast acting drug that placed the brain in a kind of suspended animation, so that it could survive hours without blood or oxygen. I kept it for just such emergencies as this. I took the syringe and plunged the needle directly through his eyeball, the fastest way to get to his brain, and injected the drug directly into his brain. He shuddered once, one last reaction to his savage torture and brutal defeat at the hands of my friend, Rock Solid. Then, his heart stopped.
By all appearances, he was now dead. But back at my base, I could get his heart started again, and repair enough of the damage so that when the drug wore off, he would live. And then I would find out what made him tick, in the most painful manner possible. I started to smile. The knowledge I would gain from studying his mutation, and the suffering I would inflict on the mentor of Hard Impact would make up somewhat for this setback. I checked the radiation emitter, which I had kept on board my craft. It was indeed starting to charge, faster and faster as the radiation levels increased. But it would take hours. Hours I did not have.
A spike of rage burned inside me, all of it directed towards Hard Impact. I had come SO CLOSE. SO VERY CLOSE. But… there would be other chances. The game was not over yet. And I had the Shield. I checked quickly on Rock Solid. He was in a coma, but I was fairly certain I could attend to him back at my base.
Then, without even knowing what had happened to Hard Impact when the reactor building collapsed on top of him, my craft lifted off, and rapidly broke the sound barrier as I headed back towards my base, leaving the east coast of Scotland to bathe in radiation. Somehow though, I had a nagging feeling that this wasn’t the last I’d see of Hard Impact.
10:23 Hard_Impact: This was the most important mission of my life. I wanted to win badly, I wanted to protect this place, I wanted to save my boss's life who made me what I am. In my way were two brutally strong dudes. Villains that have no morals and could stoop to any level.
I rushed into the building wanting to protect the area from the explosion, the radiation was burning my eyes and my skin as soon as I went in. But I needed to find a way to stop this. Just as I went in, I felt a strong gravitational pull. It was Graviton again, he was trying to bring the building down. I tried my best but the building collapsed so fast. I needed to get out of here. I channeled the energy to my legs as big boulder size chunks of concrete started falling on me. I rushed towards the exit but a big Boulder blocked it. I tried to look for an escape and went for the other exit just then as I ran towards it another big piece of concrete fell on me crushing the bone in my leg. AAAAAGHHHHHHH FUCKKKK!!!
My leg was broken and slowly the entire building started to collapse. I couldn't do anything. In the last second I stopped all movement and focused all my energy to protect myself. Every bit of it is trying to protect my body somehow trying to stay alive in this hard situation. That's when a big concrete Boulder smashed on my head.
The sound of constant beeping woke me up, my vision was blurry but it started to clear up, I looked around and saw everything was white, it was the hospital. Nurses and a doctor rushed over to check my eyes. Asking me, yelling at me “DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE?” I mumble "yes".
Turned out I was in a coma for 6 months. My body was so drained of energy that it took it 6 months to replenish the lost energy. My broken leg was healed and I had a fracture in the skull too, which healed in time as well, waking me up.
