Kryptonian Invasion - Part 1
10:21 Brock_Armstrong: Bruiser's fist was now splattered with blood and although there was a bit of a bruise, most of the blood was from the Kryptonian. Having to feel that he had knocked some of the Kryptonian's tooth out during his relentless punches, all Bruiser hoped that it was enough to daze the man for a while as he was plummeting down to earth. "Shit shit shit shit..." Having to not have flight was something that he always found missing out and after seeing how Man-El flew just made the hero wondered if he could fly too someday. But that thought instantly went away as an explosion caused a massive black smoke from below caught his attention. Figuring that it must've been Man-El, Bruiser kept his guard up and continued pummelling down to the scene.
10:21 Brock_Armstrong: With his nose swollen red and dried blood from his head can be seen through the lens of the news report, the half naked Bruiser passed through the same choppers again as he went through the thick smoke. Trying to pin point where Man-El is, Bruiser was about to use his thunderclap to clear some of the smoke away but an incoming fist from below caused the hero to widened his eyes in surprise as it managed managed to throw a mighty uppercut to the hero's chin.
The uppercut punch was as strong as his father's and although his father was just a boxer, Man-El was a Kryptonian so the power behind the punch managed to rattle the hero's teeth and head. That wasn't just the thing whatsoever as the impact of the punch caused a massive shockwave ripping apart the thick black smoke followed by the flying choppers flying out of control. The remaining soldiers on the ground too felt the impact as trees began to fall to flatter on the ground.
``"Holy shiy that felt like a bomb..."``
``"Yeag. No kidding. I'm just glad that one of them is on our side."``
The two solider spoke from below the ground as they proceed to continue their search for those who are stil trapped underneath the rubble. As this was still going on, Bruiser can be seen flying towards the closest mountain and thanks to the impact, the large hero crashes through the mountain leaving a massive hole behind. Groaning, Bruiser began to cough up blood as he slowly getting back up on his feet.
After the brutal blow, the hero's head started to lose focus as he wobbled on his feet before having his back leaned against a broken tree. Letting out heavy breaths, Bruiser closed his eyes and hoped that he has a good amount of strength left cause if he stops now, Man-El would win, and if Man-El wins, Earth is doomed.
"Can't, can't let that happen...."
10:21 Man-El: Man-El's incredible speed lessened considerably after his fist smashed into the massive hero's jaw, having transferred a considerable portion of his momentum to that heroic chin. Controlling his speed, he kept his entire being laser focused on the trajectory of the tumbling hero's thick muscled body. He had hit the hero with so much force that he'd blasted him towards the Appalachian mountains. Grunting, shaking his right fist out, which throbbed and ached after delivering such a powerful punch, he sped off towards the hero, tracking him carefully, noting the massive eruption of rock, stone, and trees as the tumbling body of the earth hero slammed into the side of a mountain. He flew up above the clouds, not only to hide him from the earth hero, but to further recharge his energy, drinking in the clear sunlight. He didn't have time to fully recharge, but it was enough.
He dropped down, silently, out of the clouds, behind the crash site. Moving in absolute silence, he floated down to hide behind the thick trees, watching from concealment with his x-ray vision as the earth hero staggered up out of the crater. For the first time, the mighty earth hero lacked the sheer aura of confidence and power, he was in a bad way, coughing up blood, wobbling like a drunken man, the last assault had clearly hurt him badly.
Man-El kept his focus laser sharp, waiting for his moment. He found it. Just as the thick muscled hero leaned back against a broken tree and closed his eyes, the Kryptonian soldier struck.
10:21 Man-El: Moving forward in a flash of speed, he came up behind the battered hero, moving with precise skill and utter confidence in his elite hand to hand combat training, he hooked his right arm under the massively muscled right arm of the hero, while his left arm snaked around his neck. His right and left hands gripped each other, forcing the massive hero's arm backward at an angle that put terrific pressure on the mighty arm, putting incredible strain on the shoulder tendons, as Man-El's legs whipped up, encircling the mighty hero's battered and damaged ribs. Falling back to the ground, Man-El's herculean quads began to flex, ten times harder than cabled steel, delivering terrific compressive force to the hero's already weakened rib cage, while Man-El focused all his skill and strength on locking the deadly cross face chicken wing on ever tighter.
The Kryptonian soldier's mighty arms flexed and rippled with power, his left biceps peaking so powerfully as he wrapped up the hero's neck that the seams of Man-El's battle uniform could not contain the sheer mass of muscle, splitting. The pressure he put on the earth hero's herculean right arm was equally intense, as he used all his skill to lock the chicken wing in tighter and tighter, increasing the damaging force directed at his right shoulder. Snarling, Man-El spoke, "I will never make the mistake of underestimating you again, earth being."
10:21 Brock_Armstrong: Resting was not an option for Bruiser as massive arms came outbof nowhere and put his head on hold. Surprised by the attack, it was too late for the hero to make a retreat as Man-El's herculean quads circled around his core causing Bruiser to stay down. It didn't also helped that the Kryptonian's bulging biceps was across his neck causing the hero's breathing harder.
Struggling with no air followed by the body slowly crushing, Bruiser was on the verge of losing and after hearing from Man-El that he'll never make the same mistake for underestimating the hero, that got Bruiser's blood boil as determination filled his strength. And although he can't let out a proper sentence, all it takes was just a move to speak up his actions.
Using his free hand that was trying to break free from the chokehold, instead of straight punching the Kyrptonian, Bruiser jabbed his thumb onto the man's eye to give enough pressure to hurt him. Feeling slowly that the grip from his neck was loosening, Bruiser could only sneer as his eyes were now red with rage and anger.
"Go....fuck....yourself." With that, Bruiser continued to press his thumb further in before releasing it and continued on using his head to bash the Kryptonian's face over and over.
10:21 Man-El: Growling with fierce determination, Man-El felt the herculean earth hero resist his expertly applied hold with phenomenal effort and determination. Man-El had spoken truth though, and he would NEVER underestimate this powerful, muscle bound hero again.
He could feel the hero's massive chest rise and fall, in a faltering pattern, his air supply being restricted by the Kryptonian's relentless choke around his throat, the alien soldier's bicep driving like a spear into the mighty sinews of the hero's neck. Grunting, drawing deep on his might, Man-El's quads, stronger than reinforced concrete, compressed savagely, feeling the hero's ribcage start to cave in. It was only a matter of time until something inside the hero's herculean core broke.
And, as if that wasn't enough, the destructive force tearing at the tendons and muscles of the earth titan's colossal shoulder was growing as each moment Man-El pulled back harder on the chicken wing, doing more damage to his trapped shoulder.
He growled in pain however, when the determined hero reached back with his long arm, behind his trapped head to jab a thumb into Man-El's eye. A deadly pain ripped through Man-El's brain, as a bit of blood leaked out of his damaged eye. A wave of weakness spread out through his body in reaction to the shock, his grip weakening slightly.
Almost, almost.... Man-El lost his grip when the hero smashed his head back, the back of his head grazing the Kryptonian's chin, stunning his weakened jaw. But Man-El's arm was still so tightly locked around the hero's neck, that the head butt lacked the freedom of movement to do any serious damage. With a focused effort of will, Man-El rallied.
10:21 Man-El: Replying to the hero's taunt, his left eye leaking blood, Man-El snarled, "No earth man... for you see, it is YOU who are fucked this day." Then, he pulled his head back, out of reach of the desperate hero's thumb, his eye squinting shut, damaged and bleeding slightly, before darting forward, opening his mouth, and BITING down hard on the hero's exposed thumb, letting out a gargled shout of rage as he did his best to bite the thumb clean off.
At the same time, he tightened is strangle hold on the hero, his left arm driving relentlessly into the mighty hero's thick muscled neck with renewed might to choke the hero out, while his incredible quads delivered a new surge of crushing might against his weakening core and ribs, seeking to break something deep inside the hero, and his chicken wing suddenly surged with new power as he pulled back on the hero's right arm, fully planning on wrecking the hero's shoulder and, if neccessary, ripping that mighty arm off.
10:21 Brock_Armstrong: For a moment, Bruiser knew he was done for.
With his bloody thumb managed to make Man-El's eye bleed, it was enough to prove that he could also be broken and Bruiser knew that it was gonna take a lot of effort and energy to do so. And right now, he was in a tight spot...literally. Bruiser had to admit though, Man-El was a skilled fighter and there's no doubt about that and with how easily he just moved his head away from any incoming attacks, the hero had to think outside the box for what he needs to do and before he could think any further, the Kryptonian bit down on his thumb which led to Bruiser yelped out in pain.
Feeling like his thumb was about to get ripped off, the strangle hold also got tightened as Man-El's bulky arms was hellbent of choking him out or even worse, kill him. Strong quads around Bruiser's core and ribs was also tightening and it was only a matter of time until all of the bones break. The one that pushes the limit the most was when Man-El started to pull back his right arm intending to break it and it was enough for the hero to growl and let the adrenaline rushed through him.
-
10:21 Brock_Armstrong: With an angry yell that shakes the ground, Bruiser flexed his quads and slowly got back up on his feet with the still Man-El on his body and to display that overwhelming strength, the hero then crashed backwards onto the ground over and over again in hopes that Man-El would loosen his grip. And once Bruiser found an opening to do so, he used simply used his bulky shoulder to slam the Krptonian by the neck and slammed his boot onto the man's stomach with force that crcaked the entire mountain ground. Yelling right in front of the Kryptonian's face, Bruiser was not done yet as he stood on top of the man and began raining down blows onto Man-El's chiseled chest and hard rock abs.
Since his face was bruised enough, the Kryptonian's body was next and if it was bruised enough, then the Kryptonian would be weakened easily. No words could escape the hero's mouth as he could only see red in his eyes. If Man-El could see his eyes right now, gone with his natural green eyes as it was now reddish red as if Bruiser was now hellbent on destroying him.
"NOBODY. NOBODY. MESSES. WITH. EARTH. YOU MESS WIT IT. I'LL. FUCK. YOU UP." Bruiser spoke in between punches and although he could still feel his body starting to bruised up, that didn't stop the hero to continue pummelling his opponent into the deep ground of the mountain
10:21 Man-El: The elite Kryptonian Commando had this earth being, there could be no question now. It was just a matter of time until the over-muscled earth hero lay broken at his feet. Every single muscle in the Kryptonian soldier rippled with focused, precise might. He could feel the earth titan's body weaken and falter. Could feel the massive muscles in his neck buckle and compress beneath his sleeper, feel the sinews of that colossal right shoulder strain to the breaking point, feel his powerful core cave in, the ribs crushed to the breaking point. The Earth man's thumb had nearly been bitten off. There was NO escape. NONE.
But.. Man-El had never met a being like this earth creature before. A being that did not know the meaning of the word impossible. To the Kryptonian soldier's total and complete shock, the suffering hero's herculean legs flexed and surged with power, digging into the broken earth beneath them to find purchase. Even while his body was enduring unbelievable torture, while his ribs were at the shattering point, the earth hero summoned enough core strength to sit up just enough to get his feet under him.
It was IMPOSSIBLE!! IMPOSSIBLE!!! He could feel the surge of desperate, wild strength pulsing through the earth creature. Could actually feel those muscles, that he KNEW were hovering at the edge of collapse and failure, flood with some kind of second wind, some kind of extraordinary adrenaline surge.
Letting out a roar of his own, Man-El began to answer the earth titan's fury with his own, summoning his strength for another crushing assault on the hero, but before he could, the enraged earth man threw himself backwards against the fractured earth, crushing Man-El's Kryptonian muscle beneath the rock and the hard place.
Not just once... but over and over. No one blow was enough to make the determined Kryptonian soldier relinquish his hold, but they added up, each blow sending a shockwave of concussive force ripping through Man-El's po
10:21 Man-El: werful core. Man-El held on as long as he could, but each blow weakened his hold further. Although it was infuriating to the trained soldier to give up such a tactical advantage, he had no choice. Trying to keep the hold now would only further drain his energy reserves without providing any benefit.
So, the alien soldier released his hold, quickly rolling out of the way of the hero's next slam. But before the Kryptonian, his chest heaving, sweat pouring down his body, his left eye squinted shut, leaking a bit of blood, his jaw aching and battered, his energy reserves continuing to drop, could finish regaining his feet, the massive hero was on him.
The incredibly muscled hero, each one of his muscles, his delts, biceps, pecs, even his abs, swollen with power, pounced on him, driving that boulder like shoulder into his neck, smashing the stunned Kryptonian back to the shattered earth. Dazed, shaking his head out, his entire body suddenly jacknifed as the hero smashed his boot deep into his armored core, the force creating a new crater, sending out a spray of earth and rocks, sending a deep ache radiating through his armored abs.
There was no time to think, to prepare, or to defend as the enraged titan, his eyes glowing red, stood astride his gasping, heaving Kryptonian muscle, firing down a rain of savage blows down into the alien soldiers steel-cut, combat forged pecs and abs while screaming out enraged defiance, each word bracketed by more concussive blows to his body. The force of the earth hero's attack was driving Man-El into the mountain, creating a deep pit with the savagery of the assault. Barely able to groan, barely able to function, pain paralyzed him as the earth beast was doing his best to pulverize his thick muscled, armored Kryptonian core. Man-El could feel his energy levels dropping further, could feel his strength leave him as it was literally being beaten out of him. He didn't know how much more he could take.
10:21 Man-El: BUT... even in the midst of this furious assault, Man-El noticed something. The power behind the blows of the mighty earth titan were not as strong as they had been at the beginning of their battle. His disciplined, trained mind focused through the shock and pain of each blow to analyze the enraged hero's attacks. In particular, the right fist was hitting with much less power than previously. So, Man-El thought, the damage to that right shoulder during his crossface chicken wing maneuver had taken it's toll on the mighty hero. Savage bruising encircled the hero's core as well.
The realization that as powerful as this earth creature was, he wasn't invincible filled him with his own second wind. A cold calm settled into the center of the maelstorm of pain, and suddenly, Man-El smiled. He was weakened, yes, his energy depleted, his body battered. But so was his enemy. As the hero's right fist descended for yet another enraged blow, Man-El's left hand shot up and caught the right fist. His arm surged with strength as the massive hammerfist was held in his crushing grip. Then, he pulled his knees up to his chest, and while holding that right fist trapped, Man-El kicked straight up with both of his boots, delivering a massive double up-kick directly to that heroic jaw, drawing on the incredible strength of both of his legs, the exact same spot that had been blasted by Man-El's monumental uppercut earlier.
The force of the blow hurled both super beings straight up out of the pit at a high velocity. Man-El was weakened, battered, hurting, much of his strength depleted by both his dropping energy levels and the savage assault on his chiseled chest and rock hard abs, but he was adjusting his tactics accordingly, determined to find ways to conserve his strength, to fight smarter, not harder. Up here, in the air, Man-El could use his powers of flight to his advantadge. He was unable to summon the ultrasonic speed he had used earlier in the flight
10:21 Man-El: , his energy reserves were too depleted, but gravity was on his side.
He kept his grip on the hero's right fist the entire time, as they hurtled upwards, relying on the momentum of that initial mighty kick to propel them at first, only after their momentum began to slow did Man-El call on his powers of flight to drag them higher and higher. Man-El's own right fist, meanwhile, was savagely assaulting the hero's jaw, to build on the agony and pain his uppercut, and his mighty up-kick had delivered to it.
10:21 Man-El: When they had traveled up about 20,000 feet, Man-El turned off his flight powers, to conserve his strength, and let them both plummet towards the earth. All of this took only a matter of seconds. Man-El subtly steered their descent, with judicious use of his flight powers, aiming for a massive concrete interstate highway on the edge of the mountains. Then, mere fractions of a second before impact, Man-El moved in, adjusting himself so that he was below the awesomely muscled earth hero, holding him over his head.
10:21 Man-El: It was then that Man-El unleashed his carefully conserved strength, letting his muscles swell with power as he sped up their final descent, landing on one knee directly in the middle of the busy interstate at terminal velocity, gravity providing the vast majority of the force, as Man-El multiplied the force of their descent using his own muscle power, channeling all that momentum, all that power into, driving the mighty earth hero's body down from the military press, to BLASTTTTTTTT the battered hero's badly wounded ribs across his knee in a super-powered, devastating, bone-shattering rib breaker!! The entire brutal move timed with perfect precision, the landing on the interstate, the delivery of the rib breaker to the battered hero's right hand ribs, dipping into his reserves of strength at the last second to amplify the impact and damage. The shockwave of the impact ripped across the interstate, overturning massive trucks and flinging passenger cars into the woods, rupturing the interstate, creating a massive crater that flung chunks of concrete nearly a mile from the impact site. But even louder than the shockwave was Man-El's cry, "THE EARTH BELONGS TO ME!"
10:21 Brock_Armstrong: Truth be told, yes, Brock was slowly getting weaker in each of his punches. Not only he wanted to finish this fast quick but he knew that everyone that was watching or knowing about the fight that was happening right now in the woods was counting on him to do so. With his punches still doing a good number on the villain, it was here Man-El managed to caught Bruiser's right fist in a crushing grip. Bruiser can't help to grit his teeth at what the villain was doing but that wasn't the end of it as Man-El delivers a massive double-up kick to the hero's jaw. The force of the blow managed to hurled both powerhouses out of the pit at a high velocity.
So high even the cameras didn't managed to catch it. Anyways;
-
10:21 Brock_Armstrong: With Man-El having his grip on Bruiser's fist the entire time, it was only a matter time until the villain lets it go but with the situation that he was in now, Man-El continued with the assault by savagely throwing his right fist to the hero's jaw causing him to flew up around 20,000 feet off the air. Despite the damage Bruiser had inflicted on Man-El, the villain was undoubtedly fast and strong as evident from how he plummet towards the ground before being held over the villain's head. No words can describe how powerless Bruiser was feeling while being held by Man-El in a military press and to think that it was over for him, Bruiser was not prepared on what's to come as the villain used one of his knees and dropped the hero delivering a powerful, devastating and bone shattering rib breaker.
The brutal move caused the hero to scream and the force of the move was enough to cause a shockwave causing several vehicles and massive trucks being overturned. With the interstate being ruptured by the two powerhouses, a massive crater was formed making it look like a warzone. Man-El's cry earlier while delivering the devastating rib breaker was something that Bruiser will remember and speaking of Bruiser; He was noe on the ground, shirtless, and was in beyond pain. Out of all the villains that he had fought, Man-El was a strong threat. Groaning, Bruiser had both of his hands covering his stomach and ribs trying to hold out the pain. Words weren't forming out of the hero's mouth as the hero's green eyes looked deadly while looking at the villain that was standing over him. But before he could say anything whatsoever;
-
10:21 Brock_Armstrong: A gunshot rang out.
That probably took both of the powerhouses attention as a silhouette of a man holding a gun was aiming at Man-El. The man who was holding the gun whatsoever looked like he was terrified as evident from how shaky he was holding it. "G...get away from him." A familiar voice spoke out as Bruiser that was still on the ground widened his eyes in fear as it was revealed to be his friend; Patton. "You son of a bitch, what are you doing..."
10:21 Man-El: In the aftershock of that colossal rib breaker, as the shockwave rips across the shattered interstate, sending trucks flipping and cars flying, the elite Kryptonian Commando watches as the powerfully muscled earth hero rolls off his knee, his body shattered. Man-El stands up, straddling the savagely wounded hero. He looked down, as the Earth hero covered his shattered core, his ribs broken, but as their eyes met, the Kryptonian battle-hardened soldier sent the hero a gaze of cold, hard, ruthless steel. And Man-El realized that while the powerfully built super hero's body might be broken, his spirit was not.
Man-El's own body was covered in bruises from the super hero's last volley, bruises that throbbed with deep pain. His jaw and face had been savagely battered, he was missing a tooth, courtesy of the super hero's steel-hard fists. His energy and strength levels had been deeply drained by the awesome assault of the mighty earth hero, but although they had recharged a bit up in the sun, it was simply not enough to keep pace with the amount of energy it took to battle this mighty super hero. But he had enough in the tank to finish the job.
10:21 Man-El: Suddenly, a gunshot rang out. A bullet bounced off his body. He smiled as he turned to gaze on the man who had dared to fire at him. The man was terrified, shaking, sending off powerful waves of fear, but he did not back down. Man-El's smile widened as he realized that this was the super hero's friend.
The battered, battle-damaged super hero had looked away towards the terrified man, and now, the hero's own eyes showed fear. Without a moment's hesitation, while the badly injured super hero was distracted by his friend, Man-El struck.
He let out a savage, intense burst of heat vision, the twin red beams of fire lancing straight down to sear and burn the super hero's eyes.
Then, in a blur of speed, and expert skill, while the superhero was blinded an in shock from the heat vision to his eyes, Man-El dropped down to reapply the deadly hold he had trapped the mightily muscled earth hero in before, the cross-face chicken wing!
10:21 Man-El:
10:21 Man-El: Man-El's mighty legs once again wrapped up the injured hero's core, like a vise, around his broken ribs. Man-El's herculean quads exploded, delivering their incredible pressure and force into the hero's shattered core, driving into already broken ribs, unleashing incredible internal damage to the hero's core.
That injured right arm, already having taken tremendous damage from the last time it was in this hold, was once more locked out and trapped, savagely wrenched behind his back. Man-El meant to break that thickly muscled right arm.
And Man-El's left arm encircled the earth hero's thick neck, the Kryptonian Commando's bicep once more flexing, surging, the peak of his muscled bicep digging deep into the injured hero's neck, applying a savage sleeper. Every muscle in Man-El's body flexed, turning harder than steel as he unleashed his skill and might to break the super hero in ways the earth hero had never experienced. But it was at Patton that he directed his next words, "Stay, enjoy the show as I kill your friend!"
10:21 Brock_Armstrong: The heating sensation coming from Man-El's heat vision towards Brock's eyes was intense to say the least as it took his guard down letting out a yell of pain. Granted, it was more of a sudden pain but that didn't stop the villain to quickly dropped down and put the large hero in a deadly hold of a cross-face chicken wing. With Man-El's hard and mighty legs wrapped up Brock's injured core, the ribs around the hero felt like it was going to explode and after Man-El's herculean quads put his incredible pressure onto the core, Brock's eyes widened as bones can be heard cracked due to the force of the pressure.
Not wanting to yell out in pain, Brock kept his eyes shut as he knew that Patton was above looking at the fight below. Man-El didn't stop his brutal assault whatsoever as he continued to wrench the hero's thick arms behind his back followed by his free left arm encircled around the neck intending to choke him out. The villain's bicep was threatening to dig deep into the hero's neck and Brock could feel how hard it was as Man-El flexed hard, hell, even harder than steel itself. Not being able to say any words, Brock could only choke out air as he looked at the villain who has his attention at Patton.
-
10:21 Brock_Armstrong: That, had Brock trying to break free from the grip but to no avail. To make matters even worse, Man-El's words spoke directly at Patton which caused Brock to thrash around on the ground despite the devastating position he was in. "You motherfucker. if you lay a finger on him, i swear to god..." Brock said thoughtly to himself as he clenched his teeth in anger while glaring at the villain. He wanted to stop this villain. No, he wanted to kill the villain.
But each breath soon became jaded and ragged as Brock slowly losing consciousness. Letting go of his hand that was trying to break free from the choke hold, Brock started to use his free hand to tell his friend to leave. Hopefully that was enough to understand before Brock's breathing started to slow down. The pain was already unbearable enough and to think that he was going to die in the hands of a villain, Brock knew he wasn't ready and have failed everyone. Not just his friends and family, but the entire world. As Brock's breathing started to fade, the very last thing he saw;
Was Patton rushing down into the crater.
10:21 Man-El: Man-El felt the desperate struggles of the mighty earth hero as he lay locked up in the Kryptonian Commando's expert hold. Every ounce of effort the exhausted, battle-damaged Kryptonian soldier could muster was devoted to one final task: Killing the earth hero who had pushed him to his very limits. Man-El was relentless, ruthless, his muscles, harder than steel, utterly focused on his goal.
And despite the powerhouse hero's struggles, this time, he succeeded where he had failed before. He felt the crack as the massively muscled hero's ribs gave way beneath the crushing force of his encircling quads. He felt the tendons and muscles tear in the hero's right shoulder as that arm was yanked back to an impossible angle. And his bicep, ruthlessly drilling into the awesomely powerful hero's neck began to finally drain what was left of the beaten hero's last strength.
The powerhouse hero's breath finally slowed ... and then, he felt the hero grow slack in his grip. Man-El had done it. It had taken nearly everything he had, but he had done it. This powerhouse, this beast, this mighty hero lay crushed out in his grip. But he kept the sleeper and the body crush on long after the powerful hero had slipped into unconciousness. He kept it on and on and on .. until even the hero's breath had faded, and eventually his heart stopped beating. Only after the powerful hero had died did Man-El release him.
10:21 Man-El: Man-El looked up as his friend came rushing down into the crater. Man-El spoke up, releasing the dead hero. "So, you wished to witness the death of your friend? Be my guest. Spread the word wide and far of what happened today. There is a new order for your Earth coming. It starts here." The mortal cannot hurt him, so Man-El ignores him after that. If he tries to interfere, Man-El will simply hold him at arm's length. But he does not want to kill him. He would prefer for the hero's friend to live, and tell the world what he saw here. Besides, it is no challenge to kill an ant. And above all, Man-El craves a challenge.
With that, Man-El kicks the enormous Bruiser's crushed out body over onto his back. Then, he gathers himself, wanting to use this earth superhero's body as a message and a warning to his foes, his chest heaving, feeling the aches and pains of his battered body, throbbing in deep agony, his face and mouth, still bleeding slightly from the relentless fists of the huge bruiser. But he lets the sun recharge his reserves a bit, then focuses on the very center of the powerhouse's mighty torso, right on the solar plexus. His eyes glow, and twin beams of fire stab out, striking the huge bruiser's torso. Slowly, wisps of smoke start to rise. This bruiser's body is made of tough stuff, but Man-El is patient now.
10:21 Man-El: The beams intensify a bit, and at last, they begin to drill into the powerhouse hero's torso. The hole widens, as the beam drills deeper and deeper into the bruiser's body, coring him like an apple, until finally they drill all the way through his body and emerge from his back, leaving a burnt, smoking hole right through the very center of his torso, and a few inches of the ground beneath. Exhausted by his efforts after delivering this final, maiming blow to the dead body of the mighty hero, he looks up at Patton.
"I'm sure you will arrange a splendid funeral for him. Feel free to invite me. Now, I really must be going. I still plan to finish destroying the Pentagon today." With that, Man-El leaps up high into the sky, leaving Patton with his friend.
10:21 Patton_Bowman: There was a lot to comprehend.
Not only that his best friend was a superhero that has been saving lives for the past few months, but to see him dead with a gaping hole on the centre of his chest, no words could describe how horrifying it was. With shaky breath, it was clear that this villain was dangerous but upon closer inspection, Patton noticed how bloody and bruised he was which could've done by Brock himself. Once the villain spoke whatsoever, Patton kept his ground and looked at his dead friend with fear and shock in his eyes not knowing what to do.
"Brock...." Once the villain flew away mocking something about a funeral, Patton rushed to his friend and began to yell out hoping that there is a slight chance that he might still be alive. "Goddammit Brock. Wake up, man. Don't do this to me you son of a bitch. You didn't even tell me you were Bruiser this whole time. Wake the fuck up man." Putting both of his hands on his hair, Patton was scared that this was real and started to do yell out deep with the crater.
What felt like seconds turned into minutes turned into hours as Patton began dragging his best friend's body wanting to get out of the crater. But it was clear that he wasn't strong enough to do so as he kept falling down onto the ground every time. "Fuck. You're not gonna die here man. You're Brock. Fucking Brock Armstrong goddammit. You can't die now. I need you man. The world needs you." Tears were started to fill up the man's eye as he tried to pull his best friend again...only to fall onto the ground. Clearly tired, Patton began sobbing as sounds of thunder could be hear on the dark cloud.
Amidst of this, no one would notice a small twitch from the hero's hand.
10:21 The_Shield: Lt. Connor Davies aka The Shield, buzzed through the asteroid belt, searching for any sign of the strange alien craft that the Defense Department’s ESDG(Extra Solad Detection Grid) had detected. The ESDG had been installed, at great expense, after the disaster of the Kra’Geel invasion some years back. Never again would the Earth be unprepared for an attack of that magnitude.
Defeating the invasion had fallen mostly to The Shield.
Why The Shield? Because he was one of the few humans on Earth able to do so, possessing incredible powers.
The Shield, aka Connor Davies, is solidly built. Without an ounce of spare body fat, Connor had muscle and to spare.
With his short cropped red hair and clean shaven good looks, he attracted quite a lot of looks. He was a very attractive man, and though if he was cornered he’d admit that he was not exactly ugly, he was genuinely unaware and unconcerned about his physical appearance.
By day he was an elite Army Ranger, running missions in the field, serving as an intel analyst when not. But when the super normal threatened, he was The Shield, an extremely powerful patriotic superhero. When he was a teenager, moving from posting to posting, with his father, an elite Army Ranger, he’d been steeped in the principles of duty, loyalty, strength, discipline and courage. To this day, he still admired his father, and attempted to emulate his life of courage and sacrifice. He’d followed in his Father’s footsteps, but when the accident had occurred when he was 21, gifting him with super-human abilities, he swore to use those gifts to protect his nation from super villians, he offered his services to the United States Department of Defense.
10:21 The_Shield: In order to preserve his anonymity, the Defense Department created a battle uniform for him, complete with a mask, to hide his identity as Lt. Connor Davies. The accident from 14 years ago had gifted him with enhanced strength, as best as he could judge, about the strength of 10 men, enhanced senses and reflexes, rapid healing and recovery, and the namesake of his heroic identity, the ability to create and manipulate spherical or circular force shields. He’d learned over the years how to use those fields to gift him with flight, to travel rapidly and safely through space, to imprison enemies, to shield himself, to protect others, to use as projectiles, to encase his fists and provide him with incredible punching power, and many other creative uses. However, he wasn’t omnipotent, after prolonged use, his energy levels depleted, and he needed time to recharge. Also, if enough force was directed at his fields, they would buckle and collapse. The feedback from that, the few times it had happened, felt like a knife twisting in his guts, leaving him weakened, injured, and in some cases, it might even injure him permanently.
But just because he had the ability to manipulate pure force didn’t mean he’d neglected his training in other areas. He trained extensively in martial arts, and worked hard to hone his powerful muscle and fighting abilities, all part of his training as an Army Ranger. The Defense Department had provided him with a special gym able to challenge and train his awesome physical strength.
10:21 The_Shield: But more often than not, he spent the days keeping a low profile, performing his duties as a Lieutenant in the Army Rangers with exemplary performance, as super normal threats were not everyday affairs. He carried with him a device, a device that was tied into the Defense Department, and they only used it when they needed help from The Shield.
Before the Kra’Geel invasion, his life had been full of danger, and he had many close calls. He’d lost many friends in combat over his years as an Army Ranger, but though each loss was a wound to him, he persevered, keeping his friendly, positive outlook. He had even managed to fall in love, and was happier than he had ever known.
10:21 The_Shield: Until the invasion. The invasion was brutal, consisting of advanced weapons and tech that Earth had no answer for. The attempts to repel the invaders had decimated the ranks of the military, and with the Army Rangers at the forefront, they had suffered the most. It was during this battle that Connor lost the love of his life.
Emotionally devastated, still The Shield had not shirked his duty, risking his own life to assault the alien mothership, and though he nearly died, he managed to destroy it. With it’s death, the other alien devices simply stopped working. But then, as if the loss of life and comrades had not torn up the dedicated super hero enough, learning the truth behind the invasion had nearly broken him. He would never be the same again. The agony of what he had sacrificed, and what he had done to save the Earth had torn him apart. At one time in his life, he had believed that he might be able to be both The Shield and a man, to know the comforts of love and friendship. But no longer. Now, he had accepted his destiny. His purpose in life, both as Lt. Connor Davies and as The Shield was simple: to be a shield between the chaos and all the people that depended on him. Nothing else mattered. Nothing else could matter, because he had nothing else.
Connor preferred to be on duty, either in his day job as Lt. Connor Davies, 75th Battalion, Army Rangers, or as The Shield. Duty let him focus. Duty let him place all his emotions inside a small closet. Duty let him be in the moment. It was when he was off duty that he could not hide from his own pain.
And right now The Shield was definitely on duty. Although the ESDG had detected the alien craft, it had lost sight of it yet again. Almost as if the craft had some type of stealth capability.
10:21 The_Shield: His search was soon interrupted by a high-priority distress signal from Earth. The Pentagon was under attack from an alien being!!! With ice-cold determination and precision, the Shield directed the bubble of force he had summoned to take him back to Earth. In outer space, he could accelerate his force fields to incredible velocities, enabling him to return back to Earth in about an hour and a half.
When he streaked across the sky approaching the Pentagon, what he discovered nearly shattered the ice-cold zone of military discipline he surrounded himself in for duty. The Pentagon was no more. The entire massive facility was nothing but a pile of burning debris. In that building, many of his friends and superiors had worked. Guilt ripped through him. Why hadn’t he been here to save them? Where was The Shield when he was needed? Why could he never manage to save the people that looked up to him?
The shock of what he found ripped through him. With an enormous effort of will the patriotic super hero landed his force field in the middle of a team of rescuers. Immediately, he pitched in, charging forward, and levering himself under the pile of collapsed concrete that had been pinning down a group of office workers. With a surge of his powerful muscle, the superhero lifted the stacked concrete up. His muscles trembled, this was about the limit of his physical strength, the effort was enormous, but the rescuers managed to pull the workers free before his strength gave out. Without stopping for thanks, grimly he continued assisting with the rescue attempts. He aided the rescuers, projecting fields of energy around trapped survivors, and with efforts of extreme will, pulled those spheres out of the rubble, saving dozens of lives. Finally, a Colonel, one of the few officers who had survived tracked him down, and pulled him aside.
10:21 The_Shield: Lt. Connor Davies was in a daze, this was too much like the Kra’Geel invasion. It was too horrific. But the Colonel shouted in his face, “Shield, STAND DOWN. Listen to me.” Finally, Connor stopped, focusing on the Colonel’s words.
The Colonel continued, “The rescue teams will deal with this. We have a more important mission for you now. Only minutes after this alien being began his assault, there was another super who started battling with him. We believe that he might be the one we’ve been trying to track down, the anonymous super who has been showing up for a while now in New York City. He battled against the alien being, and both he and the alien displayed feats of physical strength beyond anything we’ve measured. Far stronger than you even. The battle moved out towards the Appalachians.” The Colonel pointed off east, where clouds of smoke and dust were still rising in the air. “We need you to find out what happened. A while after the battle moved out east, the alien returned. He was badly injured, but he destroyed the rest of the Pentagon before leaving the scene. We are afraid that our anonymous hero might be dead.”
Connor nodded. He’d been given an order. The guilt consumed him, and he yearned to help save lives here, but if there was any chance that this anonymous hero needed help, then Connor had to provide it. “I’ll be back as soon as I can, Colonel. And … General Peterson… his staff? Are they…” The Colonel shook his head. They were all dead. They had been in the secure bunker when Man-El had penetrated the reinforced concrete with his heat vision, superheating the air inside and killing them instantly. The guilt grew even stronger. He nearly broke down, but managed to focus on his duty. Duty. Duty. Duty.
10:21 The_Shield: He reforged his sphere of force and lifted off. He was getting extremely tired now, he’d been exerting a lot of energy in the rescue efforts. But as he raced towards the pillar of smoke, he soon found what he sought. There, in a massive crater in the middle of an interstate, surrounded by burning cars and forest fires, were two men. One of them was incredibly powerfully built, thicker and bigger of build than Connor himself, and Connor was not a small man. But for all his size and power and obvious muscularity, it would not do him any good now. Not with a smoking hole burnt through the middle of his body.
Another man, who seemed ordinary to his eyes, was trying to drag the massive powerhouse out of the crater. Suddenly, the man stopped, kneeling beside the dead hero and crying hard. The Shield swooped in, certain that he would be recognized and dropped his force field, landing athletically and gracefully next to the two men. Instinctively, he reached out towards the stranger, putting his hand on his shoulder. Connor was a compassionate man, and despite his own inner turmoil, his instinct both as The Shield and as a man was to comfort. “I’m sorry, citizen. More sorry than you can know. If you will come with me please, I’ll see to it that you get the help you need and that your friend’s body is treated with the respect it deserves. Clearly, he fought to the bitter end. He was a true hero.” Not a failure like himself, unable to save his friends. This hero at least had managed to save his friend, even in death.
10:21 Patton_Bowman: A booming voice caught Patton by surprise as he looked up to see a rather strong figure looking down at him and Brock. This wasn't just a normal guy though, in fact, this was none other than The Shield. One of the world's most renowned heroes and greatest protectors. To see that he was in costume was somewhat a relief, but with the situation that he was in...nothing was more devastating than this. Not wanting to show more weakness and sadness to the hero, Patton lets out a sad smile and nodded his head as he understood what the Shield was saying.
"Okay. Okay..." There was still a voice break behind Patton's tone as he slowly got himself up from the ground. The Shield was obviously the bigger fella but comparing him to Brock, well, he'd be surprised how massive his friend was. A part of Patton didn't want to accept that his friend was gone and the more he thought about it, the heavier the heart became. Holding back his tears, Patton looked up at the Shield and started to sputter out words. "I'll...yes. I'll come with ya, sir. He's my friend and I'm not gonna leave him. Dead or not." Gulping in his words, Patton kept looking at the Shield's blue eyes before looking away.
"And yeah. A hero. He was one hell of a hero."
An aircraft soon arrived as it began lifting up the lifeless body of Bruiser and while Patton and the Shield went ahead and began discussing what had happened from the beginning. Somewhere in the aircraft where Bruiser had been kept, a small twitch of a finger and a breath was made followed by a single heartbeat.
BRUISER WILL RETURN
