Introduction

I’m Lauren James, 22 years old, born in Detroit, Michigan. I grew up in one of those industrial neighborhoods where the factories ran louder than anything else, and most people spent their lives working shifts that wore them down. My family was broken, and I didn’t have much stability, but even in that gray, heavy world, I always wanted something brighter for myself.
I started with kickboxing when I was a teenager. At first it was just a way to stay out of trouble, a way to feel strong when everything else around me felt shaky. It gave me confidence, and eventually it gave me the courage to step into pro wrestling. Wrestling felt bigger, louder, more colorful — like a place where I could stand out instead of just blend into the smoke and concrete.
It hasn’t been an easy climb. I don’t wrestle in arenas every week, and I’m not anyone’s top star. Most of the time, I’m working small shows, custom matches, and apartment fights just to make ends meet. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps me going, and it gives me a way to live a little closer to the dream.
I wrestle in a two-piece spandex outfit that’s simple but flattering — usually dark or muted tones that pop under the lights. I wear knee pads and kickpads, keeping a clean, athletic look, but there’s still something soft and hopeful about me when I step out there. People look at me and see the cute face, the girl who shouldn’t be in a fight — and maybe that’s why they cheer for me when I’m struggling.
My style blends speed and striking. I throw kicks and quick jabs from my kickboxing background, but I mix in flying moves like crossbodies and hurricanranas. My moonsault is my big moment — the one move that feels like me breaking free of all the weight I carry.
I’m not the toughest girl in the room, but I don’t need to be. I’m the one who keeps showing up, the one who makes people believe in the underdog. I came out of Detroit with a smile, a little heart, and a dream, and somehow, that’s still enough to keep me fighting.
