2 days agoPutting this in here because it's been a question that has come up a few times, thus far, so I should provide clarity.
Fights are very flexible within Paradise Lost. Want to open a public room and fight live in front of the citizens of Venus? Totally fine, if your partner is good with it. Want to schedule multiple short writing sessions with your opponent or one long one? It's all good if you both agree. Lead a busy life and would prefer to do a reply as you can? Also totally cool.
Fights should be performed as free form and reply as you can by default. Free form is generally the most common way people enjoying fighting here and reply as you can is the default to respect people who's schedules and time zones make it tough to do live writing sessions and most everyone can accommodate those. If you want to do dice, that's ok as long as you both agree. Sitting down and writing live together is totally fine and probably how the majority of scenes will be written, but reply as you can is the default in order to respect folk's time.
Matches must be published and submitted to the fed by the end of the month to receive ranking points for that month. If you and your opponent aren't finished at that time and your opponent agrees, you may request an extension and recuse yourselves from matchmaking the following month to finish.
Only your set monthly match and one Confession promo each month are eligible for ranking points. You are free to publish other stories using the Paradise Lost setting so long as you are a member in good standing, but they aren't eligible for points. Pick up matches published before the start of official matches in August will be scored as Confession promos.
