10 days agoAs I have already said in communion, we could have some championships and tourneys, but also some individual matches, like someone, could be matt or someone chosen by him, could analyze fighters profiles, and search for who would be the best opponent to him/her, we could have turneys trhough the divisions Elysyum, Purgatory and Pit, I guess its the best option, but we also could have some sub divisions championships, something like just a few matches, in divisions like mixed, MvM or FvM or even a sub divisions wich gender does not matter, but i guess it would be the tourney, also some score system would also be good, like one match that we won we earn one point, one that we lose we lost one point, there would be easier to put people with similar win rate to fight together, also we can have small events between divisions too, like one were no one can use their powers or will be weakened so everybody will be in elysyum level, well I guess thats all I got, I hope I those are useful ideas. ^^

11 days agoI'm posting this to seek some feedback, maybe an informal vote, regarding the membership's feelings regarding Championships and Tournaments. Currently, members have complete free will to challenge characters they think will make interesting opponents as they see fit. Championships can be quick and easy character goals. At the same time, having a title or contending for one does take a lot of free will away from people in regard to matchups. In fact, some have no desire to fight characters that aren't their preferred gender. Similarly, tournaments can be easy ways to assign fights to folks, but really takes free will away while they are going on.

So I have some experience with both as currently in a fed I hold a title and there is a tourney currently being held where the winner faces me. What I will say about that is it's moving with a lot of uncertainty as one person deleted their account and half the people that joined it are only on for like a few minutes a day which isn't the end of the world, just not the right schedule for a tournament. So I'd say requirements and expectations must bet set that have to be met in order to join a tournament. Like being known to be active or having matches under their belt in the fed. As for championships, I would make a clear cut system that identifies a challenger easily if you make championships. Sometimes I get multiple people messaging or in the fed chat wanting a shot but if I just accept a random challenge then that is going to leave people out or make it look like I'm keeping it to an inner circle, making it to where I have never once defended the title since winning it and why the tourney had to be made. Which I have seen and heard of champions in other feds basically never doing anything because they say they're best thing since sliced bread and nobody deserves a shot. However, their bestest friend in the world comes online and they offer their 10th title rematch. So I think you could at the very least try a rankings system and if titles are made their could be arranged matches depending on rank made by none other than you to eliminate bias and force things to move organically. So all in all I'm not opposed to tourneys and titles, but they have to be handled very carefully.

You can have one or two tournys a year but outside that it allows free will the rest of the time. This is a compromise between tournys and not. Plus it will allows some forced match ups since the free will option almost always leaves someone out and devolves into cliques. This will allow people to get to know another better too. Belts and titles, meh, I’m not against them but it is not something that would motivate me. This will technically remove free will fights as well since the title champ really cant keep ignoring challenges because they dont like the look of a profile. OPCW is an example of this. Champs won’t fight a large number of people and wont be forced to, so some never get a shot no matter how active they are, and if they get once forced on them they just ghost opponents with no repercussions. Its the reason i stopped doing things there. Whats the point if you cant reasonably ever have a title shot and the rules to be allowed to only apply to some people. You also have to then police the champs who Super and never lose. So, tournys sometimes, titles no. Rather than titles i like stats keeping of wins and losses. Oh, and should be some sort of benefits to people being active in matches and the fed chat.
