Within the nine circles lies a devil who's existence rules the seventh. Many know her as La Diabla, but to those deeper still, she is known as The Extinction Dragon. Created from hundreds of millenniums of wars, murders, assassinations, and battles for honor, this devil had known nothing of lust, greed, or pride. Until one day, a soul approached it. The devil easily crushed the soul and returned it to the boiling pits. But the soul returned over and over, challenging the devil for who knows what. The soul's will and savagery interested the devil as it continued to come back and challenge it. Eventually, after countless duels, the devil asked the soul before crushing it and returning it to its punishment why it continued its fruitless endeavors. The soul replied that it no longer knew, just that it could feel it was driven by revenge against someone, maybe it was its desire for the strength to crush any obstacle in its path, or perhaps it was the unwillingness to surrender to no one. The devil understood none of this, but curiosity had gotten the best of it. One bite was all it took. Pride, lust, wrath, and greed seeped into violence, giving it reason.

When the soul returned once more, the devil took another bite, giving it cunningness. With each bite, the devil learned of what lead to violence. Uncertainty, disagreement, desire. All these things came together to create a spark of knowledge within the devil. It craved violence, and this soul knew how to instigate it. One final challenge was held. The devil offered the soul a deal. They would merge, and the devil would give the soul power to leave the 7th circle to travel where it pleased. All it had to do was create violence.

Gabriela woke up in a dry puddle of her own blood. The clinking of metal bouncing off the ground entered her ears as she stood up. Of course, there was no way they would have been able to take her down face-to-face. Deep within, she could feel it. The slumbering devil pulsated, the violence of the city giving her energy with each pulse. Indeed, what she needed was a fight. A hero, a villain, an angel, a devil. She didn't care who she saved or who she killed. She only cared whether or not they would fight back, looking for those who acted on their sins, delivering them unto the devil she had become.
